Gplez90 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 ^^^ Touché and touché. Never thought of it that way lol 1
APE Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Could someone get a skyline pick from the road of how Banshee looks compared to the rest of KI? That would be pretty cool. That's the best I've got for now. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 3
thedevariouseffect Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Wow still alot of snow down there. One hour north and it's shorts weather IMO 2
homestar92 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 If someone takes a pic of Banshee, you should get one of The Bat as well. It's looking really great so far. 3

KI FANATIC 37 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I can't wait for the station to be done! For some reason that is one of my favorite parts of riding a new roller coaster. I always remember the first time I walled into Diamondbacks station, and I can't wait for Banshees to be complete. 7
Adventuro Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 The station coloring doesn't seem to be as bright (luckily) as it looked when less of exterior was done. 1
calakapepe Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Hmm... I'm not so sure that that is real brick being used... 3
steveinphoenix Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I noticed on earlier pics of the station that there was a little window right next to where the train exits the station on the left...and now I don't see an opening for it.
TheCrypt Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 The concept art sometimes deviates from the final product. The window, which is for the operator, was relocated to the side of the station. 5
MantisMan Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Pretty sure the side without the scaffolding in the pic above is the finished exterior. Not sure what you guys are talking about but thought I would point that out. 2
steveinphoenix Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I was really hoping that they would make the final product look like the rendering...especially little things like the wing wall and popout for the entrance to the gift shop on the bottom. Its those little things that give it character....but they still may yet put them in...we will see
LongTimeLurker Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I think the small window you're talking about will be there. If you look at the picture posted on Twitter on 01/31 it shows the window from the outside. And in one of the pictures Don recently sent over, although it appears bigger, you can see the framed opening from the inside. But the thing I like most about the station is the woodwork. Can't wait to see it in person. 7
myklhicks Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 For those of you that are awake and on KIC, check out the front gate cam for the past hour here: http://weather.weatherbug.com/weather-safety/online-weather-center/Camera/Camera.aspx?stat=MSNKS&camera=MSNKS Looks like a Banshee. or a drop of water on the camera... but still, thought it looked neat and decided to share it! 7
TheBEASTunchained Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Crews arriving at the Banshee station this morning...... This webcam can be found on Kings Island's website, Here: Kings Island's Banshee Construction Cam 3
Delirium2018 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 If you look at the webcam, it looks like they are removing the left side of the Stunt Crew Grill. So if that's true what about Slaughterhouse?!
calakapepe Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 They could easily redesign it, or just do away with it. And I'm not so sure anything is even happening there..
Colonel_SoB_fan Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Yeah there is no way anyone can tell, from what we can see on the webcam, if anything is actually happening to what might of use to be Stunt Crew Grill. 1
Coasterama Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I swear I saw something! Everyone sees something, unless you are unfortunate enough to be blind. -Coasterama, who just had to go there. 2
The Interpreter Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Nope. Unless you mean there's none so blind as those who will not see (but could). 5
BB1 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 For some reason, the Banshee station reminds me deeply of this building on Swarm : http://www.coaster-net.com/ride-gallery/464-swarm/photos/2117-roller-coasters/20345/ 3
Coasterama Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 ^ Is that building used as a station or just as a near-miss element? Or both? 1
Nick_Plummer Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 ^ Is that building used as a station or just as a near-miss element? Or both? It's near miss element and part of the theming. The whole ride is apocolypse themed. I don't believe that is the station though, as I am not quite so familiar with the ride itself.

The foreground of the structure is indeed a near-miss element, but the background is part of the station. Adventuro Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I wonder if that billboard says the areas new name. I kid.
dwainw Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Everyone is wondering if the free standing wall has been erected. If you check the webcam late in the day, it sure looks to me like you can see the point on top of it. You can even see it in the capture above. ^^ I'm sure the wall must have a purpose. I'm guessing it is to block the view of the old SOB station for most people in the new Banshee station. 1
