when will you first ride Banshee?

I would love to go to media day. Opening day is a must for me I have never done this before.. How does one get to media day?

Buy a membership in an approved, recognized coaster enthusiast club, such as ACE or GOCC. More details, which would presumably include a complete list of accepted clubs, will be released by the park before the end of the year, I believe.

It is a privilege, not a right. Working media are the primary audience. Enthusiasts are expected to ride, to not in any way detract from the announcement, to enthusiastically participate and to dress appropriately. In the past, some had not. Rides can be 15-30 minutes apart, too.

Cedar Fair is being very gracious in inviting some of those excited about the new rides to participate.

I think he means the official animation of Banshee's POV.

For reference (and another virtual ride):

Banshee has no G's in it! :) (though if you were buying vowels, you'd do alright!)

Hopefully media day, and opening day otherwise. I missed Diamondback's opening day (couldn't get off work), but I'm not missing this one.

Hopefully this will be my first media day. On what day of the week do media days usually occur? What was it for Gatekeeper?

Opening day for sure. With the way I've been following this since we saw the footers on opening day 2013, I feel it would only do me justice to try it out when it opens. After that I plan to ride The Bat for the first time under its new moniker.

My first ride will be when I'm able to go to Kings Island can't wait!

Random thought here. This will be my first media day so I really don't know how everything operates. Seeing as Don will be there for media day, do you guys and gals think we could have a KIC only train during media day? Maybe Don and any other park rep could join us for the KIC only lap. I think that would be pretty fun.

Maybe... if 32 people from here get in line at the same time. We won't know what will be happening regarding reserved seats, filming, etc.

Park officials will be extremely busy with actual media that day, so I doubt that any park reps will be able to do anything with us. Enthusiasts aren't the focus of Media Day, and KICentral isn't a paid coaster club that will be recognized for the event.

Probably during the week when kids are in school and no science days are scheduled. Not opening day and not a weekend, waiting hours to ride only once who'd be torture for me, I might even crack the piggy bank so I can fastlane it all day long! ;) You know that's right!

Thats true. I just didn't know if the members here were wanting to say hey to each other and maybe share rides even if we aren't members of the same coaster club. I saw about 14 were going to ride during media day so if they bring a guest (I think that you were allowed one guest per club member last year at Gatekeeper) then we would have plenty to fill a train. But then again I don't know everyone's schedule, hours planned on staying, how crowded it will be, or how long the event lasts either. (I've never been to a media day before so this will be all new to me) I was thinking it might have been possible, but I guess it is a long shot. Just thought it would have been cool to do something with the members here of this board that were going to be there.

Edit to clear up any confusion: this idea was for KIC members that are MEMBERS OF PAID COASTER CLUBS that will be invited to this event. I know KIC is NOT an approved club because it is a free forum and not a paid membership club. Paid clubs such as TPR, ACE, GOCC, CCF, etc. should be on the approved list. My wife and I are members of Club Coasterfusion so based off of the invitation to Gatekeeper's media event I am expecting CCF to be invited to Banshee's media event. Thus my thinking was that if any KIC forum member, that has a paid club membership and will be at this event, wanted to meet up we could try and ride together.

Members from a select number of approved coaster clubs will be able to attend Media Day. Registration will be done in advance. Proof of membership will be required at check-in.

The list of approved clubs will be announced in late January or early February.

Forget the coaster club crap, I will buy my favorite poster this season a pass for next season! You have my word! ;)

Open, I always got Terp! I got someone next season pass! God bless her, I feel she is close to the No Chickens family! I got you sweety. ;) Maybe? Like toy soldiers? :o
