April 19, 201511 yr I did a search but didn't see any topics on it yet. It's obvious Invertigo is down and will be for quite some time, but does anyone know why? I didn't bother venturing down to the barricades they had just past the restrooms yesterday. I did notice a cable hanging down from it both Friday night and yesterday, and am assuming that's why it's down, but don't know for sure. Anyone hear anything?
April 20, 201511 yr I did not hear anything but I did notice it was down. And for awhile too? Seems like there's always something wrong with a ride in Action Zone. It's a bummer Invertigo is a ride my friends and I always ride.
April 20, 201511 yr After working in a factory the more machines we got the more I seen breakdowns, minor and major. After owning several vehicles I noticed from time to time you have to change parts out and I also noticed they too would have minor and major breakdowns. Heck even your everyday peddle bike needs it chain changed once in a great moon. Just remember that a coaster has mechanical aspects that from time to time will break down or parts need to be changed out.Just saying.
April 20, 201511 yr I saw a photo and a cable was hanging from the lift hill, so I guess the cable is broken?
April 20, 201511 yr That would be a bummer. May we see a link to the photo? I, for one, am very interested in seeing the cable.
April 20, 201511 yr I am assuming that they are waiting on a part or they just need a little extra time to fix it. That is my guess.
April 20, 201511 yr Picture I took http://imgur.com/2mEbG0I I seen that same thing earlier this month too.

Invertigo has more down time then any of the coasters at Kings Island anymore.
April 20, 201511 yr Dorney Park opens May 1. Cedar Creek Fliers also debut then... thanks, i just think that it will be like Drop Zone last year, this year
April 20, 201511 yr I took a random photo of Invertigo while in line for processing. Didn't realize it until a few minutes ago. I think this could be the cable that everyone is talking about.

April 21, 201511 yr Well if the cable broke during any sort of testing thats better than if there were people riding it. I feel like this coaster, even for its age, is one of the more mechanically complicated rides in the park and therefore makes it more prone to down time. Then again, it is also a Vekoma. I used to be a fan of them and I still respect their vision they once seemed to have. I hope they get it back up and running this year. I am probably one of the few who likes this coaster.
April 21, 201511 yr I hope so, too. I love hearing the train climb the lift hill while walking up to the front gate.
April 21, 201511 yr I enjoy the coaster too as hope it's back up. I just don't ride it a lot since the capacity is so low, rather ride other coaster than wait in te slow line for it. Though when the line is short I am all for a ride on it.
April 21, 201511 yr If I never rode it again, I wouldn't care, But I'd hate to see it leave. All rides have meaning, for some.
April 22, 201511 yr Nothing broke. Still down for it's annual maintenance. Any idea how long this will last?
April 22, 201511 yr I am going to design a layout on google earth to look at the space but all they need to really do is remove some parking
April 22, 201511 yr I don't know why we get into this debate. Look around there is plenty of "Space" left at KI without ever taking any more parking spaces.

Invertigo has more down time then any of the coasters at Kings Island anymore. Firehawk would like to disagree. Also, compared to other similar models (both inverted Boomerangs and the Giant Inverted Boomerangs), ours has had the least amount of downtime.
April 22, 201511 yr I would like to know your source on annual maintenance because usually they don't have a hug crane near the lift hill in the offseason like they have today.
