Cedar Fair pickers scour Europe for vintage amusement park rides

Recommended Posts

Of course we want more more more, but in a glass half full mode we are we very lucky as a park to have: a scrambler, Shake Rattle Roll, Monster, An Eagles type ride, the swing ride near FoF, a Merry Go Round, a jr Whip, a few car rides for the kids, and not mention the big flats of DT, WS, and Delirium. I mean what else do we need to fill a gap that's not really offered by what we have.

I'm OK with Carowinds getting five of their rides. Carowinds has felt too much like what I call a "coaster park" the last couple of times I've been there. Some mid-to-high thrill flats are precisely what they needed to fill the gaps in their ride lineup, in my opinion.

Interesting that Carowinds would get the Wave Swinger. I had never heard of any issues with their Yo-Yo, and the rides are VERY similar. Though a Wave Swinger is higher capacity to my knowledge, and perhaps that has a lot to do with it.

If you guys like Tilt-a-Whirls you really should try the one at Camden Park it ran for about 5 straight minutes

I've been on it several times in the past couple of years. When you throw your weight into it, the cars spin really fast. They are fun and ran pretty long.
