Beast Night Rider Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Does anyone know if they can work when the fog is this thick? It’s starting to get a LITTLE better, fyi 1
Maverick44 Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 I would assume they couldn't use cranes. They may be able to piece together supports on the ground in the mean time? 2

They may be able to piece together supports on the ground in the mean time? Keep in mind that the webcam is right around 300 feet in the air. The fog may be clear enough closer to the ground, so they may be able to lift some pieces into place. Of course, it isn’t guaranteed that they are able to, but it’s a possibility. 1
TheFloppyDisc Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 True, the view from the MT cam looks pretty clear at this point and the hill they are working on currently is just a little bit taller than Mystic's lift hill. 2
Born_in_'72 Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Just imagine how surprised we will all be when the fog lifts...... and the helix is done!!! 4

silver2005 Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 That hill before the helix is a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. The helix will probably be pretty massive, too. 2

I’d call it 18% grey due to its ability to shift, picking up light contamination under most lighting conditions. That and trying to keep Orion’s track the correct blue against any sky is a pain to deal with also. 2
