Kings Island Prestige Pass

Featured Replies

As someone who loves, thrives and partakes in haunt (and acts in different ones out of the park world), KillMart to me would be the most logical to go, especially since the location is prime real estate as an under utilized building on the midway. Yeah, I know we could say the same about the former Crypt building, but that's more building than a lounge would need.

A location like this would make me move more toward getting Prestige vs not.

  • It's not about the fridge, it is about the park selling a product promising drinks and taking it away after the fact.  If there were people abusing the drinks, then come up with a better solution

  • @BoddaH1994 and I will be talking about the Prestige Pass in an upcoming episode of Tower Topics, which is a podcast about Kings Island.

Kind of proud of everyone with their reaction. Some have have bought it, some couldn’t justify it. No real “OMG ITS A RIPOFF” response. It’s for some people and not others. Nothing is being taken away

The 50ft observation deck on the Eiffel Tower is, in my opinion, prime real-estate for a VIP Lounge. It’s a unique spot that only a few get to venture to and the prestige patrons can remain subjected to the elements. :)

What about turning the Antique Photos building in Rivertown into the VIP Lounge? It's not open every day anymore so why not make full use of the building?

I'm not sure it's big enough. I haven't been in it in years, so, not sure if space wise it'd work.

The positive to either location would be that they are close to water/sewer lines.

Does anyone know if the free Fastlane per visit is that only for your home park or can you use it with the All Parks at whichever park you go to?

(EDIT It does say you get benefits at other parks as well)

It is supposed to only work at "home" park (whichever park the "base" gold or prestige is bought from).

So update as per the park:

-Benefits carry over to other parks if you have the All Parks Passport so you could use your preferred parking and Fast Lane at Cedar Point, Carowinds, etc.

-You can get all the benefits of a Prestige Pass this year when you renew to a Prestige from a Gold Pass in 2024.

I went ahead and renewed to upgrade to a prestige pass just because of that clarification. One Fast Lane a day and preferred parking at the other parks on top of Kings Island even with the other benefits have enough value for me to go ahead with it.

I became a pass holder in may and have yet to receive my WDWAP magnet (I did snag a Stitch one in EPCOT in may), if you don’t mind me asking when did you become a pass holder vs when you received your magnet?

Luckily I’m going down next weekend so I’ll probably have to talk to guest services.

The stitch magnet gets comments from people out and about but I’d rather have the Mickey magnet for my car the stitch for the fridge.

Welcome to the club, my friend!

Enjoy your magnet. Soon you'll have so many they'll be a burden before you know it. :D

Just received confirmation that Prestige Passholders will be able to use our one time use Fastlane at Winterfest.

Isn't it sad that the level of trust is so eroded that you have to send an email asking this....

Is it 100% certain that all season Fast Lane will work?

Prestige passholders at Kings Dominion were treated with fudge in their indoor VIP lounge:

But do they have Mike's Finest (TM) brand lukewarm tap water, an inoperable Coke machine, Cold Chocolate, and heaters that are clearly "for decorative use only" all in the finest lean-to in the park? Didn't think so!

Once again I come with another story of how terms are subject to change still occurs in this day in age after the merger.

Season Passes | Season-Long Access | Kings Island

Present your valid Prestige Pass at any ticket services window, and your guest will receive a ticket and lounge voucher. The Prestige Bring-A-Friend benefit is good for two visits annually during the pass validity. You may use the two free visits on the same day or use one visit on two separate days. Passholder must be present to redeem this offer.

Prestige with the All Park Passport add-on can also redeem Bring-A-Friend tickets at other legacy Cedar Fair parks. Note that only two Bring-A-Friend tickets are available annually during the pass validity, regardless of at which legacy Cedar Fair park they are used.

For context, the park advertised that you can use your bring a friend VIP ticket at ANY legacy Cedar Fair parks.

Prestige receives exclusive benefits at the home park for which the pass is eligible. Prestige with the All Park Passport add-on receives exclusive benefits at the home park the pass was purchased through, plus unlimited visits to ALL Six Flags parks and the exclusive benefits at other legacy Cedar Fair parks offering the Prestige Pass.

Prestige 2 annual Bring-A-Friends may be redeemed at all legacy Cedar Fair parks; Prestige Single Use Fast Lane benefits may be redeemed at all legacy Cedar Fair parks except Schlitterbahn Galveston and Schlitterbahn New Braunfels; the remaining Prestige benefits are only available at Canada’s Wonderland, Carowinds, Cedar Point, Kings Dominion, Kings Island, and Knott’s Berry Farm.

Benefit availability may vary by park, please contact the park you are planning to visit for questions regarding applicable benefits.

This is a direct quote from the Cedar Point website mind you.

After the lengthy battles of “terms are subject to change” I am ultimately skeptical of what the parks actually offer and this always call in to confirm information. I started off calling into KI over the weekend, where they said they are 99.99% sure that I should be able to use my bring a friend VIP benefit at Cedar Point. They referred me to Cedar Point to confirm and I did exactly that today. When I spoke with the operator, they stated verbatim that my bring a friend is valid ONLY at my home park. Totally contradicting what the park stated on their website. I’m going to call again tomorrow with this information but I wanted to let everyone know that once again there seems to be a major disconnect in what is offered and what is actually served. I’m hopeful this is just a simple bit of lack of coordination however if this is the case it’s extremely disheartening that what is communicated vs what is offered are totally contradictory.

I’ll be totally transparent here: I hate not knowing what my pass actually gets me. I want for what I paid for to be valid and clear, which in my experience is as clear as mud with SIX and legacy Cedar Fair parks. I know park execs look at these forums, I know park employees look at these forums, I’m taking the avenues that are available to at least confirm what I can do; but this level of confusion is just unreal. I’m sorry, this should be a simple memo or an excel reference sheet it shouldn’t be a legal quagmire that turns into a he said she said situation.

Update: You can use your prestige pass bring a friend at Cedar Point. Very frustrating to have two conflicting bits of information but I believe, personally, that the first individual was just giving a blanket statement without looking into it and the second knew what was going on.
