This won’t happen in 2023 but I would like to see a few changes in the future: I wish Haunts could be incorporated into the rides. For example, bring the train back somehow, bring back the monste

I hope Kings Island adds more fog in general throughout the park. The fog really adds to the atmosphere, but it was lacking last year. Some areas had no fog at all.

You've seen prepare to do something?

Gonna be on the lookout for these apples people keep talking about. ;)

Ok so seriously, WHERE ARE THE SPECIAL FALL FOODS THIS YEAR?!

I am rather concerned that there won't be any special fall foods since there hasn't been anything specifically noted on the website like in years past. No blog posts. Nothing. Really hoping they still have some special items they just "forgot" to list them on the website. To me, along with the decorations and the atmosphere, having special eats for the event is all part of the experience.

They are on the app. not sure why it's not on the site.

I'm taking my son to the Haunt on Fri 9/22. I haven't been in several years, but always enjoyed it. He's 13 years old and fears nothing, but this is his first haunt and first haunted house experience. Any tips on the indoor mazes that would be a good starting point for him? Also, is there any conventional wisdom about where to go first before the lines really start to build? We'll be arriving about 20 minutes before gates open.

Thanks, really looking forward to it.

So Dr Nightmare is returning not only as the host of his game show. But as a Scare Master. Yes Mike Rochester is back being the master of all Scarers!

Can't wait! Do they still do the opening sequence where all the scaractors come running out of the fog through the front gates into the crowd waiting out front? Like I said I haven't been in several years. That was my favorite part of the event.

From the past 2 years of going, They do the sequence where there is an audio story played which signals the start, once the sequence is finished the scare actors come from the left and right of I-Street's intersections (Planet Snoopy and Festhaus intersections) and walk towards the crowd. Once the firework effect goes off, the rope drops.

Usually the way it has worked is an audio story plays and then there is this explosion that goes off and that's when Haunt starts.

Out of curiosity I just looked up the opening ceremony on Youtube. Oy... what a downgrade. The older opening with all the ghouls bursting out of the thick fog through the gates was so freaking cool. Oh well.

And supposedly they have cut way back on scareactors this year. That, with the no boo necklaces, has ruined this event.

Best Haunt indeed lol.

At this point, they need to just do Tricks n Treats, an Oktoberfest for the adults and close at 7pm.

I aM SUpEr DuPER ExCItEd FoR HaUNt tHiS YeAR!!!!!!!!!

No need for more scare actors. Some of you can just look into a mirror. :P

Where did you hear this? Given the complaints of the reduced number of scareactors the last couple years, it's hard to imagine they'd continue to make more substantial cuts. I hope this isn't a trend.

If its like last year,  don't expect to see any fog.

Thank God for Mike Rochester

I was happy about most of the scareactors scare zones and mazes, I think that coney maul when I was there was highly lacking scareactors and alot of them didn't scare. I will have to say Slaughter house was excellent! Very well done great scares and actors. I can't wait to go back and possibly next year come out of retirement.
