WoodVengeance Posted June 20, 2025 Posted June 20, 2025 This was spotted on the fence surrounding the former Raging Rapids attraction in the 4th of July section of the park. It's quite odd to see the park tease something that's still two years out, so perhaps it's going to be something major? What do you all think? (Credit to Hoosier2006 on Reddit for the image) 1 Quote
Diamondback_Is_King Posted June 20, 2025 Posted June 20, 2025 And so it begins! If we follow the timeline, we can see a sort of pattern of major rides popping up every 5 years or so: Raven-1995 Legend-2000 Voyage-2006 Wildebeest-2010 Thunderbird-2015 Cheetah Chase-2020 --------------------------------- Well, we got Good Gravy! in 2024 as a "filler". The last "major attraction" will be 7 years ago in 2027...this one's going to be big! (Side note: Mammoth kinda broke the trend in 2012, but besides that the trend is consistent). A new coaster every 5 years...I'm guessing we got another one coming! I'll bet you that this next attraction will be a really good addition...whatever it might be. The photo screams water park, and the colors red, white, and blue hint America or 4th of July. My guess is that they will release another hint on July 4th, or July 4th, 2027 could be significant in some way. It could even be a ride themed to America. They already have Frightful Falls as a log Flume, so guessing not another one, and they just removed a river raft ride, so I wouldn't think they would just replace it with the same thing. The location is close to the 4th of July section, which is one of the most lacking lands (except for Christmas, which is kinda interesting. I guess it's Holiday World's "Main Street") I personally would love yet another water coaster, but it's not in the water park. So if I were to take a wild guess, I would say a water attraction of some sort, like a water coaster but from MACK rides. We shall just have to wait and see what ends up happening! Another side note: I find it interesting that Holiday World is already teasing for 2027 and KI has been silent about anything yet coming next year 1 Quote
FoF96" Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 I just hope it’s not one of those power splash shuttle rides. I am sure they are fun, but not sure I’d tease more than 1 season away 1 Quote

OverlandTaxis30 Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 I hate to put a damper on everyone’s excitement. But… How do we know it’s actually a teaser for a future attraction? How do we know its not just some sort of fun decoration on the path which goes from Splashin’ Safari to the Fourth of July section (hence the red, white, and blue flip flops)? Quote

One of the blue flip flops has the year 2027 on it. 3 Quote

Now that I have seen it up close, I noticed that the other pair of blue flip flops on the upper left also has the year 2027 on it. Make of that what you will. 1 Quote
Hawaiian Coasters 325 Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 The fact they are teasing 2027 this early screams this is going to be a major project. Not even Thunderbird was teased this far out. 3 Quote

Probably, but I don't see this being another $25+ million investment like how Thunderbird was considering how long it took Holiday World to see the return on investment for that. 2 Quote
Orion-XL200 Posted June 24, 2025 Posted June 24, 2025 I just hope that whatever is next, is high capacity and gives me another major reason to go back (heck I'll go back at any point). But, I really would like an amazing addition for Holiwood Nights. Quote
WoodVengeance Posted yesterday at 06:07 PM Author Posted yesterday at 06:07 PM Coming back to this after nearly a year. Looking at the construction site and teasers, I'm going to predict that this is going to be some sort of Mack Rides Water Coaster. The teaser website seems to hint at some sort of water attraction with the "boiling water advisory". In addition, the trough that has been constructed seems to be similar to the troughs that are used for Mack Water Coasters. If it does end up becoming a Mack Rides Water Coaster, it would be the first in this region of the United States. There are only two traditional Mack Rides Water Coasters in the country, both of them being Journey to Atlantis at SeaWorld Orlando and SeaWorld San Diego. It would also make sense for Holiday World, as they label themselves as the "Water Coaster Capital of the World", although this type of Water Coaster is different from the water slide variants. Teaser website from Holiday World: https://www.townofbouldercanyon.com/ (Trough picture comes from ParkFans) Quote
Hawaiian Coasters 325 Posted yesterday at 06:13 PM Posted yesterday at 06:13 PM Adding one of these would be so Holiday World. We know how much they love their water coasters and they have basically every type of water coaster concept except this one. 2 Quote

I'm glad the space is finally being put to good use again. It'll be awesome to see the new ride from Highway 162. Quote
