  1. I’m not really a fan of them keeping the train “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Out of all the attractions that Winterfest has to offer, the train has been the most underwhelming- and this is coming from someone who’s always been fond of trains. The park must’ve hear similar feedback because they added more traditional Christmas scenes and different music after The 12 Days of Christmas is wrapped up but I still feel like it could be improved with more elaborate scenes to ride by. The train is always packed though so I’m confident they’d really do anything to change it much further.

  2. I'm sure the Son of Beast station will just sit there until the park needs the land for something. Probably not anytime soon.

  3. Yes. I'm hoping it will be a better show in person, video sometimes doesn't convey what it's like in person. But it just seems a little over the top trying to do musical numbers with an acting piece as well. The "old" ceremony was a bit cheesy, but it did pull at the heartstrings.

  4. Exactly, it would be a waste of money to tear it down if they weren’t going to do something with the land. Unless the structure somehow was deemed unsafe and could fall on The Bat’s track, it’s not going anywhere anytime soon if it’s not needed for something else.

  5. I'm not the most religious person.....but I do believe that this show deserves the respect of a seated/captive audience. I loved it at the first location...hated where it was last year and hope this year is better...but not sure I'll make an effort to go see it in this location.

  6. In honor of my 20th anniversary of being on KIC, I'm going to share some graphs from my super nerdy Kings Island trip spreadsheet I created. 64 lifetime trips and counting. Thank you all for all the fun over the years!

  7. First of all, I'm all impressed with the new Adventure Port since last year.... Second of all: this past June 24th, when I rode the new Adventure Express to get my 500th ride in and guess what? I got my 500 rides in.... Now that I have 1,649 lifetime rides with Adventure Express with ONLY 351 rides away to 2,000th ride which will also take place later this Spring/Summer 2025 and will also coincide with Cargo Loco when I get my 500 rides in at the same time in 2025.....

  8. I think this was a great addition. Considering the short turn around time for the park, it came together well. Now that we seem to have constant 90 ° weather summers in the region, a lot more shade was and is needed. I do wish we were able to get the higher capacity Sol Spin. I do think the two editions were a great pick. I realize a lot of enthusiasts prefer the Huss versions. Keep in mind, in 30 to 40 years, new enthusiasts will say they prefer the Zamperla versions to whatever newer manufacturer would be making them at the time.

  9. I have a feeling the crypt building is where we should keep our eyes on. If the park goes with a family thrill coaster, I think the Crypt building is the best spot for it. Imagine a well themed indoor queue line and then a dark ride section pre launch and then launch out into the woods and hug the terrain.

  10. Get your facts straight. If you read my posts or listened to the podcasts, you'd see where I said I was grateful for the 17 years I had there; grateful for the opportunity. There were no hard feelings when I left. I have maintained relationships with people that work there. It's fair game to call Elizabeth out for how she has gone about things, especially when it's in writing from content creators. She doesn't get a free pass.

  11. On the outside, I can see where people would think it's not competition. Having been on the inside, it is.

  12. Why do they keep sticking that (what I would argue is best show) in the kids area where it gets drowned out. I wish they’d move it to the plaza in front of back lot, there’s seating on planters, add a few benches, leave all the lanterns above the walk from HAUNT, and put the stained glass nativity along the pathway with soft carol music. That way the show would have a defined area, and an entire “world” built around it. Maybe even do a “country church” front entrance set.
