  1. I wait to ride the Monster again, it feels like FOREVER since I've ridden it. I can't wait to ride it with my kids in the future.

  2. I really love that they posted about this. I always wonder why the park only promotes the newest additions when the supporting cast is still so strong. It's cool to see the park outwardly caring for something that makes the park unique and special.

  3. Confirmed to be returning in 2026. Not a huge surprise, but still great to see!

  4. Every year it feels like they are restructuring the pass system and causing more confusion for pass holders of all kinds. I initially thought that as someone who purchased their pass during the MVP sale that my pass was going to be upgrade to Prestige, but then I re-read the article and confirmed that here. Although I wonder how many system glitches there could potentially be where those who bought their pass during the MVP sale get upgraded anyhow? And for those who bought Prestige passes already, I feel bad because there is nothing being upgraded or amended for them. I truly miss how simple it used to be to buy a pass and there weren't so many nuances along the way. Just when I feel like I have an understanding of how it works, they change it up again. And now I wonder how they will go about selling the pass add-ons. As in, will there be one set of add-ons for Silver passes? One set of add-ons for Gold passes ( regional only add-ons or APP level add-ons ) and then Prestige level add-ons? It's just. A lot. I realize they want so badly to seem like they are simplifying stuff, but instead they seem to be creating more confusion, questions and frustrations.

  5. My biggest issue is that preferred parking and the VIP lounge are already comically overcrowded thanks to the clearance sale on passes that ran for like 3 months, and now they've just given free access to a bunch of people who intentionally chose not to purchase the prestige pass. You already have the park defenders scolding people for having an issue with it, too, since they didn't upgrade everyone who bought during the clearance sale, just the people who bought it after that. Presumably, though, a good number of people purposely didn't buy a prestige pass since the big sale, since Six Flags felt the need to make a public announcement about it. They did something similar at Wonderland when they discontinued the regular season pass (after selling tons of them) and replaced it with the silver pass, and upgraded everyone who had purchased a regular season pass to a gold pass, and the people who paid extra for gold passes were basically told "tough luck, your fault for buying a gold pass and not a red pass". And then they wonder why people are hesitant to give Six Flags their money.

  6. Great to hear that it's for sure coming back this season. I too am hoping for some more of the lights to be fixed and I personally think it would be cool if the pods were painted a different color and leave the main structure black. Guess we'll see

  7. I can say that people internally are happy about it (especially in Orlando). I was also really happy to hear about Dana Walden being promoted to President and Chief Creative Officer—I had been worried that we would lose whichever didn’t get the CEO job and either one would have been a big loss.

  8. Ride Sims has made a simulation of Queen City Stunt Coaster (or Backlot Stunt Coaster). So If you want to play it (if your a VIP member right now) link is in the bio. https://ridesims.com/ride-simulators/beta/Backlot-Stunt-Coaster

  9. Wait until the upcoming August promotion 🤣 New for 2027 - if you have owned a pass in the last 5 years, you get a 2027 Prestige pass for free. No purchase necessary. And if you accept this free offer before labor day, we will throw in a season long Fast Lane as our special gift. I joke, but who knows what level they may go to....I think season long add-ons for free will probably be the next version....

  12. I'm shocked that the auto collision shop that has the ride cars right now hasn't put up a wall to block the view of them from the street since it seems folks keep trespassing to see them. Here's to hoping that we'll see the ride ready for the park's Opening Day. That source from Reddit could be right on some things, but I'm still hung up on the idea that it would take two straight months of work to program the whole ride. Would they not be working all week (40 hours) every week to get it ready starting in March? If it was just Six Flags with their contractors then I might understand better, but surely it'd be Sally Dark Rides employees heading the programming efforts, right? I guess what I'm really wanting is to know how fast their other recent dark rides have taken to program — not that it's public information anyways.

  14. Hi, a Prestige Member here, not thrilled at all. I LITERALLY was just in Orlando saturday talking to people about the pass situation already with SIX parks and thought it was a joke. This just takes the cake. I'm half tempted to call the park and ask about how this change affects me and if I can get a cost adjustment, but I unfortunately know the answer will be no.

  15. The Reddit source claims programming starts the first week of March and will take to months (installation’s definitely still going to be happening awhile into February regardless of how long it takes to program. My understanding is the animatronics and ride cars aren’t at the park yet, but don’t quote me on that.) If taken literally that would place the ride’s completion date at the start of May, but since the park did say it opens in April I’m now leaning towards it opening with the park (if nothing has changed it’s essentially a difference of a week, assuming there’s not a charity thing that would happen before passholder previews.) I’m also optimistic because the park said since the beginning that PT’s set to open in the spring, and Camp Snoopy/Adventure Port were always advertised as opening in Late Spring/the Summer.

  16. Disney didn’t just name a new CEO. They picked a park guy. Why Josh D’Amaro taking the job feels like the right move—for fans, guests, and the future of Disney. https://themeparksbydon.com/josh-damaro-disney-ceo-park-fans/

  17. The two videos would be the video and shorts version of the same episode. I wouldn’t discount them not working on more episodes documenting the construction process, but I’d be worried personally of them spoiling too much if they did that.

  18. How often have the first three episodes of Curtain Call come by? Was it about every two weeks or so? Some of them seem to have been planned out since IAAPA, so it's not entirely like they're all done in the moment. I'd love to see another one come within the next week!

  19. I hope we can see a positive change in Disney as a whole with Josh D'Amaro at the helm of the whole company. Whatever era they've been in since Iger first left has gotten stale and has felt bad for the consumer and park goer alike. While I doubt prices will go down, maybe a return to better theming and creative freedom for Imagineers will be in order.

  20. I think it may be a combination of directions from corporate and unwillingness to make more posts than needed. I also noticed that this post didn't include a pass sale promotion. This post is so refreshing to see after what we had in 2025. I'd love to see some more color on the ride, though the presence of ride parts on the pad doesn't leave me too hopeful for that. One think I'm still hoping for is that we'll see some of the lights return to the ride even though the rotor is already installed without them.

  21. A Six Flags Season Pass is like a box of chocolates. You don't know what you're going to get.

  22. While I enjoy the idea of this "perk", I don't think it's very well thought out overall. What's worse is that it's another mid-sales year (starting/ending in August) benefits switcheroo with presumably bad end results. I think it would've been better to give free BAF tickets to those "upgrade-ees" as compensation, but instead we'll now have more people packing into the Preferred Parking Lot and the VIP Lounge(s). This doesn't affect me since we bought my Gold Pass during the MVP Sale (cue the Willy Wonka "You get nothing!" line), but I'm upset for the Prestige buyers whose passes are now devalued anyways. I'm thinking the company is still not seeing pass sales like they wanted and needed to find a new way to get folks buying. I think the structure should be: Prestige — All of the current perks, except at a $300 or $400 price point Gold — All of the current perks, limited to one region (All-Parks Passport eligible), and at a $150 price point Silver — All season access with blackout dates (no more ending access at Labor Day), only access to the home park complex (Regional Park Passport and All Park Passport eligible), and at a $99 price point This structure could help with all of the folks who complain about paying for a perk (go off I guess) that they'll never use while taking the bulk of the pass base back down toward the Silver Pass. You also wouldn't have as massive of a group going for the Gold Pass just for access to Haunt and Winterfest, a reason I believe is why the Silver Pass didn't stick around at Kings Island. I saw a couple of people in the Facebook groups talking about how they're planning to call corporate as well. Do you have any ideas as to what they could give you to make up for it that isn't a partial refund/cost adjustment? Anything I can think of right now is not enough.

  23. Six Flags has unveiled a new pass structure for their parks. Gold Passes will now allow access to parks in certain regions, whereas Prestige Passes will allow access to all Six Flags properties. If Gold Passholders purchased an All Park Passport for 2026 (excluding ones given out during the MVP sale), their Gold Pass will be upgraded to a Prestige Pass for 2026. edit: It seems the All Park Passport will still be available as an additional add-on for Gold Season Passes. Though it remains to be seen what exactly the prices would be for a Gold Season Pass with the All Park Passport compared to just buying a Prestige Pass that already has that included.

  24. Thinking about the timeline for opening. If that info from Reddit is true and programming starts next week (and takes two months), wouldn’t that lineup pretty closely to opening with the park? Unless my timing and understanding are off.

  25. I'd hate to lose that indoor theater space to an extended queue, but it would also mean more air conditioned and shaded temporary queue space. Although, if it does get turned into extended queue the doors would probably stay open and ruin the effectiveness of the A/C system. Does it really take 2 months to program a dark ride of this size? I haven't seen anything from similar projects, but that feels like a long time.

  26. Man I really hope it’s ready by opening day since it will be my first time back in the park in 5 years. Going specifically in hopes that it is open on time.

  27. I think they should at least set up a temporary overflow queue in the peanuts showplace just in case for opening weekend crowds.

  28. It’s been a long time. Like, a loooong time. But I vaguely remember the overflow line on opening day for SDatHC being directed toward the left side of the building by the face painting booth/Sweet Spot. Does that mean anything for PT:ON? Nope.

  29. Oops, sorry for the confusion, I was referring to Kings Island's/Six Flags' social media team. I think the whole KIC team does a great job with their social media Maybe the KIC team could also make a post about it! Especially if y'all have a more recent photo with all three rides in it.

  30. I was thinking it would be better to wait so they could get a new photo (especially with the new paint on the ground) and to let the foliage grow back in for the season. I think it could also be part of a post advertising that "Monster has reopened for the 2026 season", in which case some nice, green foliage would help to show off some of the beauty Kings Island is known for. As little credit the current social media team might get/deserve I do believe they can make some nice posts from time to time.
