I wouldn't say RMC has "been teasing" more like they just put out one cryptic tweet mentioning Outpost 5 probably to troll the KI enthusiasts who always bring up RMC reviving SOB.

I think they could do that for a Vortex replacement. I've always said that back area could get an old time car/highway theme. Think Route 76 at Valleyfair, but call it "Route 72" or something. Also retheme the bathrooms by WindSeeker and make them look like the bathrooms in Quaker Steak.

I haven't noticed much of a noticeable difference in ridership than previous years. It always depends on the day and crowds.

CP did something similar for their 150th with the golden ticket of a lifetime. Honestly, kinda surprised they didn't do this last year for the 50th. The one thing I'm wondering is with the QR code thing in the park, will they do what CP did and have alternate prizes like front of the line passes and/or VIP lounge access.

Last year at Coasterstock, Mike mentioned that doing concerts again was dependent on how successful they were. From what I was able to see, most of the concerts weren't even half full so Idk if they were successful enough. The problem is the acts that would fill Timberwolf (10,000 seats) go to Riverbend which is right down the road and a much larger and nicer venue. Also most if not all those acts have a contract with Live Nation which means they can't play at a non live nation venue that is in close proximity to one. Honestly I think a good way to make TW more sustainable is to downsize the venue to like half the seats (like 5,000 seats).

Or just transplant trees from the wooded area behind Orion (like more where that newer building that was built during Orion's construction is so it isn't that noticeable then go and plant them in areas that could use more trees.

They have been there for the last few years at least. They're just easter eggs and don't mean much

I wasn't working Sunday, but Saturday night my supervisor said something about wanting to open north the next day. Glad they were able to open it. Wdym by running both? The only time the tower has done a double plat in recent years was for fireworks when we could take guests up for that and we haven't done fireworks yet this year and we couldn't take people up for fireworks last year due to the lasers.

^^Also really hoping the colored flag banners and the "farmer's market" like stands happen. And also please give the area its own soundtrack. I can't stand listening to the jazz over there. However, I can't stand the jazz period as I-street deserves orchestral music NOT jazz. The jazz was fine for the 50th, but I wish they would've returned to the old orchestral music.

Also another thing according to the Cincinnati Business Courier is that they are also considering expanding to host things like pickelball competitions as well as year round events like concerts. Imo if that's what ends up happening, we can probably kiss Timberwolf goodbye for once and for all. No way they need to keep Timberwolf around if the facility across the interstate puts in a concert facility. If they still want to host Spirit Song, they can do what I've said before, block of a section of the parking lot like they did for the Kneivel jumps and set up a temporary stage.

I'm honestly not surprised that they are considering the move. Charlotte is one of the fastest growing cities in America and while I'd hate to see it leave here, I think there is more room for growth in a place like Charlotte who has better infastructure than a mature market with not the best infastructure like Cincinnati. While I will say infastructure has been improving around here, it is hard to pass up a fast growing market like Charlotte over a mature market like Cincinnati who's growth is very slow.

And maybe remove Timberwolf as well seeing as the only major concert event it will be used for this year is Spirit Song.

Not shocked RMC is trolling like this as I can guarantee you they get asked by fanboys a lot about rebuilding Son of Beast. In fact whenever the park posts something about SOB, almost half of the comments go like this "bring back SOB but have RMC build it this time."

Also for Prestige Passholders, why don't they demolish the current ticket buildings and build new buildings and open up the pathway behind the ticket buildings and make that the Prestige Pass entrance? I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that was the season pass entrance during the Paramount days.

Sounds about right as I feel if I remember correctly the firework show in 2021 had a loose theme around the theming of Orion. Mainly not terribly long before the show started it had a "countdown to launch" kind of thing in a space style theme. Again very loose. Also tie that in with the Area 72 launch party thing they did that year.

What bothers me is KI has an indoor area of this size or even larger that is hardly ever used located above the front entrance. I just don't understand why they couldn't retrofit the International Restaurant into a prestige pass lounge like the SeaWorld parks have. It would've probably been a lot cheaper to do that then to build that new structure.

I agree that they should connect the area in between Viking Fury and the funnel cake stand into a path that leads to the Festhaus plaza. I work the Viking ship and I can't tell you the number of times the operators especially the person up in the drive box has to go "If you're looking for the entrance to this ride it is around the pond across from the Festhaus". I can get how confusing it is because you can see the ride, queue, and exit path clear as day from the area near the tower and Enriques, but you can't find the entrance. It also leads to the issue of people jumping the fence onto the exit pathway from the grass/mulch hill there which thats another thing the driver in the drive box has to say over and over "do not jump the fence"

So I had Grain and Grill again tonight for my dinner. This time I had the shrimp and perogies, but added on the potatoes for an extra charge. The shrimp was very good just wish the skewers were a little longer with more shrimp. Honestly the shrimp might be on par with Red Lobster shrimp. The perogies were good, but not something to write home about.

Tried Grain and Grill for the first time today. Really enjoyed it! I got the chicken, potatoes, and naan bread with taziki sauce. They gave me two chicken legs so maybe they got a lot of complaints or something? Idk. The potatoes were very good and yes they have a small kick, but as someone who pours hot sauce all over my Skyline 4 ways and fills my crackers with hot sauce, the kick was nothing. Imo it's a great addition to the park!

It honestly seems like KI wanted their Grain and Grill to be different from KD's version of it as the menu items are a little different which isn't a bad thing. A bit of variety is always a good thing. Looking forward to trying it soon.

I got the news while working today and let me say I'm not shocked. I've always thought it was on the chopping block for years now and I believe it's very rarely open. Now for replacement, I've had this feeling that 2024 is a Soak City year fir awhile now. Honestly if they don't want to reroute the employee access road, they could put in something like Canada's Wonderland did in 2021 with Mountain Bay Cliffs where it's like a cliff jumping experience with multiple levels. Also an upside to this addition, it doesn't have to be the only addition. They could put in a new family or thrilling flat ride in the dry park. We'll have to wait and see though.

Thats why I always check the inside of my cup before I drink lol

The biggest issue with the Coke Freestyle machines is the VIP lounge would become overrun by bees as they love to hang around those machines.
