Kings Island 2024 Food Reviews and Discussion
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to SmartCat7162's topic in Kings Island
I personally wish what they would do during peak summer is bring out individual fire pits and sell s'mores kits and allow families to make s'mores as the sun goes down. There's just something special about roasting marshmellows as the sun goes down gearing up for fireworks. Knott's used to do this for Summer Nights, but I believe I heard they stopped doing it fairly recently so I don't think KI would do it, but I think that would be something fun to go along with Camp Snoopy. -
Camp Snoopy Construction Updates
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to Hawaiian Coasters 325's topic in Kings Island
Before this thread gets locked as Camp Snoopy is now open, I just want to say it was an honor to be the one to start this thread back in August of last year and its crazy to see how much the area has changed from before construction started to now. It was a fun off season to watch this come together and I look forward to seeing what is next for the park! -
OFFICIAL Opening Day of Camp Snoopy Announced!
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Got to ride Snoopy's Soapbox Racers today as part of yesterday's ACE silent auction. They sent us around twice so I got to ride it twice and I'll say it is an awesome ride and a great addition and will be a big hit with families! Awesome job to Vekoma and Kings Island! Now I would love to see a Vekoma launch replace Vortex -

The Eiffel Tower is currently down due to maintenance reasons. I can't go into anymore details due to obvious reasons, but I do not know when it'll reopen. -
OFFICIAL Opening Day of Camp Snoopy Announced!
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I personally wish the park would hit the reset button on all the music in the park. Especially on International Street, Rivertown, and Planet Snoopy. Gosh I can't go into words about how I'm not a fan of the music in either of those areas! Jazz does not belong on International Street, bluegrass covers of Thunderstruck/other metal/rock songs are just a big no to me, and cringey covers of pop songs sang by a kid group just doesn't do it for me! -

Kings Island Announces Food and Wine Festival for 2024
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I turned 21 last June. Also even if I'm not much of a drinker I enjoy the atmosphere of such events and I love when the park hosts events like this! -
Kings Island Announces Food and Wine Festival for 2024
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
They'll probably announce that closer to the start of the event. If I were to guess they'll have booths spread out with some in tower gardens and some around the tower and maybe some around the floral clock area. The entertainment and other activities if I were to guess will take place in the grass area near Diamondback's brake shed. I believe when they did the Brewfest years ago they would set up a stage near Diamondback's brake shed. -

Top Thrill 2 and Fastlane
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It's Screamscape though. I take anything they put out there with a grain of salt. Weren't they the ones who started the Kumba and Ride of Steel getting removed rumors that the perspective parks immediately shot down? -
Another thing I thought I'd mention is Canada's Wonderland is introducing a new Food and Wine Festival that will run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in June. I think something like that could work in and around Tower Gardens, the Tower, and the Carousel. Also probably doesn't mean anything, but if you look in the background on the festival page they have Orion instead of Leviathan lol https://www.canadaswonderland.com/events/food-and-wine-festival

Epcot does this event called the International Flower and Garden Festival. Personally I think something along the lines of that could fit here if KI wants to do something similar. Also Mike Koontz at Coasterstock last year said they're looking into potentially doing something in May and June. The park shared this interesting message on their Instagram story. It seems like tower gardens is going to be utilized for a future event. Could KI be getting a surprise new event after all? Or are they going to do early prep for Carnivale? (which isn't until late July btw). Idk, but this will be something interesting to watch.

Vekoma Madhouse in 2026?
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to Cedar Fair Fanboy's topic in Coming Attractions
Personally I would rather 2025 be focused on general park improvements and prep for 2026 Vortex replacement (if it does indeed come in 2026). With the last 2 additions (Camp Snoopy and Adventure Port) not opening with the park for the season, I would rather let the park get a head start on construction for The Vortex replacement like KD is doing this year with the Volcano replacement that way it can open with the park the next spring. Plus I kinda like it when the whole season is focused on park improvements (see the 50th year) and especially when they are prepping for a new big attraction. Those seasons outside of the season a big new addition opens are some of my favorite seasons. 2019 was one of my favorite seasons for this reason as it focused on general park improvements along with a very minor but much needed addition with Antique Autos along with the introduction of Grand Carnivale and then throughout the season see the construction and buildup for Orion come together really made for a fantastic season and personally I would prefer 2025 to be more like 2019 than having a decent size addition like a dark ride or flat ride package. A Soak City slide would be a fairly minor addition like Antique Autos, but with the rumors of Cedar Point and Valleyfair adding to their waterparks next year, I'm starting to doubt 2025 is Soak City's year. -
