  1. Even if it REALLY is The Beast, whoever made it lied when saying that he is not a smoker. And after the whole SOB getting a bris... he must be a drinker. As for Firehawk, seems like he has a little something something for Vortex!
  2. Wonderful.. and rare photos PKIRidesmaint. Thanks for sharing.
  3. My goodness, this just makes me want to do the "Free entry to Park" In RCT3... and make it last 6 weeks.
  4. If it is the "Why does everyone take more maps than needed" Speech you speak of, you are correct.
  5. Here is my take on this story. When you are looking for a home to live in, it is most important to look at what is around your house! No matter where you live there will ALWAYS be noise. Where I live, I have to put up with the Neighbors Revving of his engine because he has to ready his car for the Race the next day. My Friend who lives out in the country side outside of Cincinnati has to put up with the train passing nearby every night at 3AM and during the day. People who live near KI have to deal with the fireworks EVERY NIGHT during the summer. I can understand the whole deal with what happened with the proposed ride that was for the stratosphere but this makes no sense. RZ made a good point, these people are complaining about the noise from the ride... when the interstate is the same distance away. What I find amusing, that the reporters seem to find the whole thing amusing.
  6. In 1996 I moved to the Cincinnati area. For the previous three years before that I lived in Pusan, South Korea. Moving from Korea back to the USA was like moving to a foreign country it was so different. My life in Korea was where my 'ride junkie' experience began. When we arrived in Cincinnati my mother gave me a brochure for a theme park called Kings Island. My first thought was that it was a renaissance park. Because it was 1996 it was the OL:FoF brochure. The first time I went to KI I was 7 years old and like all kids do, I spent my day at HB land and Nick Splat zone. The only ride I did not go on the Phantom Theater (Yes I was afraid to go on it). Yeah, so that was my earliest memory.
  7. So 'Where's Nemos plane' asks, shadow2k3 And when will his next flyover be? Did you happen to go outside my friend? Because it sure was one beautiful weekend!
  8. without a doubt, mine is the Phantom Theater. It was a rule that before I left the park I must ride it. It was a ride everyone rode yet had no line... I loved it.
  9. Heres a little update for all of you. http://www.wlwt.com/news/11214839/detail.h...in&psp=news
  10. What are you talking about Combat, you were siting near the wall, thats me. But Either way Don stole the shot.
  11. This makes the Lodge look like a play set for kids. The whole design of Water Park is fascinating. Typhoon Lagoon is a great water park; if this water park will beat the size of the waves in Typhoon Lagoon I will be impressed. Great move by Sea World.
  12. You could also say it was a babbling basketball brook.
  13. There was the Train Tour, the Kitchen Tour, The Great Wolf Tour, The Flying Tour... It was the thought of bill being there that made him there, except for the train tour. PKIC did a... Oh wait I mean KIC (I'm going to have to get used to saying/writing 'KIC') what we call an 'overhaul' because the whole design of the site is changed. New browsing, layout, content... it's all new. Enjoy the site!
  14. I'm with ryan, either your going to attept to tell us what you have or your going to back up what you are saying.
  15. By the way, they is only because I worked at KI.
  16. I find that buying a pass depends on the person getting it. Truly if you visit the park more than 2 times the pass pays for itself. If I made the choice and lived where you are... I would go for the 2007 Cedar Fair Maxx Pass- $120. The reason being is that if you visit each parks more than 2 times, like I said you made a great deal. I feel I don't need to pay for a Plus pass for admission to the water parks, I go for the rides and if I want to get wet I go on river rapids rides. Don’t get me wrong, water parks are great I just don't think it is worth the extra money for the plus pass. This decision for you is what I would say is a... "Deal, or no Deal" situation.
  17. I did not mind the cats... infact they are what imho keep Kings Island togeather. I never knew the world hung by such a thin thread of 'Dancing-singing-kitten' chaos! The dancing cats always reminded me for some strage reason of a quizno's commercial of a singing...armless... hamster looking thing. ...just watch.
  18. For all that are interested I wound highly suggest looking into working there. Best time I have ever had in my life... work related. -ACER AHOY!!!
  19. There is no way to post in this topic without sounding like a complete fan boy, I'll try not to sound like one. Mine would have to be my PKI employee work shirt.
  20. Knowing what Kings Island has done in the past... they have followed a pattern to keep everyone coming back... 2000- Thrill 2001- Family 2002- Thrill 2003- Thrill/Family 2004- Family 2005- Family/Thrill 2006- Family 2007- Thrill Kings Island has to keep everyone coming back. Let's look at the rate of major coasters... Vortex (1987) - Top Gun (1993) Top Gun (1993) - Flight of Fear (1996) Flight of Fear (1996) - Son of Beast (2000) Son of Beast (2000) - Firehawk (2007) Major coaster installments came in an average of 5 year increments. So the next major coaster installment for Kings Island will most likely come around 2011-2013.
  21. Thanks for sharing donniejb, I can speak for everyone when we say that we will be more than happy to see more of your memories at KI.
  22. There was some confusion that happened tonight, untill we could find out what was aloud that was a temporary rule.
  23. RCfreak, the announcement is taking place on the on the 5th, aka this monday. Until then let's nit jump the shark because the fact is that the 07' attraction has not been announced.
  24. Wonderful report Chef! I can see your face when you first walked into the waterpark, it was probably the same as my face the first time I walked in there. I have to agree with you that Coyoty Cannon is the best ride in the park. BTW I think you got Coyoty Cannon confused with River Canyon Run. The kids area of the park is just greatly laid out, little basketball hoops, little water buckets, and 5 slides for them. Good thing you went during the weekday, weekends are crowded.
