Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
Thrill_Biscuit replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I guess "bunny hops" does no justice! -
Yes it is cool to see the old characters roaming the park again! I even liked the 70's "Tourists" back on Knievel day. Excellent touch!

I was referring to the posts about the Behemoth changes... Tb, still waiting for fishtail turns and bumpy steps... -

The only changes I can imagine would be theming surprises (tunnels, head-choppers, lighting fx)... -

LOL! Or OSU rankings! I didn't track Behemoth's progress. Did it get larger or smaller than previously announced? Was it by subtle or huge amounts (i.e., will the lift hill go from 230' to 270, etc.?) -

^I was thinking that very thing. We've already been told the dimensions. There's a video and a model, and plans. Maybe these are from people who still want to experience the excitement of 'reading the book without jumping to the ending'. Just a thought. -
At least it's not $4 a gallon ... yet :)

It was like that in Mason, Ohio on the Monday following Ike, but it quickly went back to normal. In my 70-mile-wide circle of travels, I haven't seen it like that since. I hope it gets back to normal for you quickly. -
^ Thanks, Coby! I like it!

Probably an expansion of Pipeline Paradise if anything. Unless they're in some financial trouble I haven't read or heard about, I don't see Beach being OOB in '12.

...you consider buying an "Eiffel-tower" lamp from the Marketplace store, ....and a can of light-green spraypaint. Post 700

HRP Closed and Files Chapter 11
Thrill_Biscuit replied to RailRider's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It looks like Hard Rock is a concept better suited for cafés, or for a small themed area of a park, rather than the theme of the whole park itself. IMHO the fuzzy bears in "Kiss"-looking outfits is a bit cheesy. (About as cheesy as having a Canada goose as an avatar...) -

^Lucky! Those CGI videos of the ride do not do this ride justice, as do the real pics from the web cam! The real images look far more powerful! This ride is going to instill much awe. -

It looks like one of my old cheap RCT shuttle coasters right now... -
To me, KI IS a museum, where you get to ride the exhibits...

Animatronic snake on Adventure Express?
Thrill_Biscuit replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in Kings Island
My first ride on AE was in 2003: It looks like I missed a lot of cool stuff. It's more express than adventure now. -
Do you hate constant screaming on non scary rides
Thrill_Biscuit replied to raptor's topic in KI Polls
There was a kid who screamed in real terror on the Eiffel Tower elevator once. Talk about a low thrill threshold... -
I wonder if the railing on the cue line will be snake-skin textured.

Some places are better left closed during the cold months in Ohio. The hit-and-miss, often misforecast snow storms could make clearing the mile-wide (!) parking lot a headache, not to mention the pathways.

This is great theater! The expression on the lady's face is perfect! Oscars all around!!!
