  1. First round - no ticket for me. Not necessarily disappointed but I'm more irritated that folks who have got tickets are posting on socials, "not sure if I will go or not, what's this even involve?"
  2. Kings Island...no probably not. Six? Maybe.
  3. This made me laugh harder than it should.
  4. Hot pink? But yeah, 100% agree...always thought it was an odd color.
  5. I didn't realize that, not a huge fan of two Woodstock coasters with two completely different experiences....could you consider Woodstock Express to be a mail delivery theme too? I feel like they could have named it after another Peanuts Character.
  6. It depended on the ride mostly. I'm not sure if I am remembering right, but I thought it was dynamic pricing.
  7. One of the most unimaginative names that could have been picked...might as well stuck with "log ride." At least Race For Your Life Charlie Brown could have still fit the theme of "Camp Snoopy." It is, but I think Air Mail would have been better with the "themed" description given. I'm glad Franklin now has his own ride! But, Flying Beagles could have been a great name.
  8. I wouldn't say light per say, but they midways are more manageable when packed lol.
  9. You're not wrong. I have almost 100% decided, not to renew for KI this year, for a multitude of reasons including the last visit I had in the normal season I was in park for 4 hours...I got tired of the crowds, the food was subpar and after lapping each ride at least twice I was bored. I'll be back at CP this upcoming season with a gold pass.
  10. Have not heard, but they had the employees in the kiosks throughout the park that they brought back during the 150 celebration.
  11. I agree with @Hawaiian Coasters 325 but I also agree with you @disco2000 and @Tr0y. I love the bands in residence at CP...even if I didn't sit long, I still enjoyed the ambiance. I mean, it would be a better thing to listen to than the bluegrass version of pop hits, Kidz Bop or other music played in the park lol. Seating really would be key. I think of three stages at the back of the park at CP.....BackBeatQue, Frontier Town (in front of the Maverick queue) and at Farmhouse. They each have ample seating which is comfortable and food can be enjoyed outside. I'm not all for shows inside where food is being served like Festhaus and Harmony Hall at Carowinds, but that's a whole different ball game. While it can suck due to rain/extreme sun/heat/cold, etc. it just is a better atmosphere for all. KI has had the little stages in the past, but the locations imo have not been the best planned out. One comes to mind specifically at the bottleneck of Rivertown near Mystic Timbers exit/KIMVRR Entrance. While there are several people there, the flow of traffic there is to much to throw a stage in and then expect people to stop and listen.
  12. Upcoming merger, it'll be rethemed to Got2B Hair Products or Twix.
  13. Do we know that for sure or is it just speculation?
  14. I mean the area where the coaster will be was already sectioned off. I think most are surprised that Good Gravy is essentially ready but SSBR isn't vertical yet. Could the track had already been installed? More than likely if it was on site.
  15. Just no one else plan on signing up to ensure I get a ticket please
  16. I get the idea of looking more modern, but being who I am, I prefer the nostalgic look/grandeur. Street lamps throughout the park would be wonderful, especially on the path behind junk yard coaster/behind the Eiffel Tower leading from Coney Mall to Rivertown.
  17. I don't know why, but I'm more excited about this ride than I think I should be haha! Will be a nice solid addition for Holiday World.!
  18. @malem, @pianoman and I visited the smoky mountains at the beginning of the month. We hit up several mountain coasters including: Rocky Top, The Lost Mine coaster, Wild Stallion at Skyland Ranch, Hellbender and Rail Runner at Anakeesta. We did ride The Lost Mine and Wild Stallion twice (day and night). I have now been on each on in the area. My favorite, I do have to say is the Lost Mine....it's a nice long ride with awesome theming, including the queue and ride station. The speed is pretty great too!
  19. I agree with you. I mean, there are some things that I like....I like the new pavers and the uplights on the trees. The buildings having been painted and decoration accents on them are great. I had hoped that the fountains would be more like the fountain at The Island in Pigeon Forge....more of a show element throughout the day or heck even like Canada's Wonderland when their fountain was redone....they had a choreographed show to the music conducted by Snoopy which was cool. But yeah, the grandeur of the fountains is missing. I don't necessarily miss the pedestals, but I miss more water movement. I miss the bigger trees (but understand why they left), the newer ones are starting to get a good growth on them. I still am not sure about the stage at the tower end of the fountains. I do like the newer tables and umbrellas that aren't branded but give a great flow of color from above.
  20. 5 years ago today, this change was announced: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/Qcwud9zkXvZpdasi/?mibextid=WC7FNe It's amazing how the video attached with the announcement showed the scope of work being done.
  21. Just a 30 second video on a blog that features 5 seconds of footage multiple times.
  22. I would love to see a Brew/BBQ type event back. It is sad that CP is no longer doing Frontier Festival, so I'm not positive KI would do the Brew/BBQ style event again based on this, but we could hope.
  23. Nothing announced at this moment. I'd anticipate at least 1 new show, probably for the KI Theater.
