  1. The songs for the dance breaks playing over and over again would be very scary!
  2. The former King Cobra footings would like a word....lol. Nice video, but as predicted by @BoddaH1994, they put it on socials the day after it happened as if it were today. Why wouldn't they want to pump up that their brand new coaster tested for the first time yesterday? I'm assuming pass sales aren't near where they would normally be when they are doing specific market deals (see @BeeastFarmer's post on the general discussion thread from today).
  3. I'm going to have to make it over to get a couple of 4 packs. I enjoyed it. One 4 pack will have to be for keeps.
  4. I'm not sure, but I think the park would have to invite Google to visit to reshoot "streetview." I kind of like the ability to see the past, but it'd be nice to have updated too!
  5. Cedar Point to me has the best operations out of the ones I've visited. Followed by KI, Carowinds, KD and then Dorney.
  6. You'd think markets such as Dayton, Lexington, Columbus, etc. would be a priority to get the word out on this exciting addition for the park (I mean it's kinda cool to have 4 roller coasters in a kids area) and to get folks in the park when they are apparently hurting for cash.
  7. The lack of excitement shows as KIC "broke the news." Yeah channel 12 had a story, but not being from the Cincinnati area, I wouldn't have known. Nothing on park socials about it....but maybe that's coming tomorrow.
  8. I'm guessing it was just submitted to channel twelve. The lack of information has me thinking that. Why were these kids selected? Did they belong to an organization? The photos with a lack of description: one photo looks like the coaster was testing....was it? Did the kids get to witness the coaster testing? If so, why didn't they share that? The footers in front of the Camp Snoopy sign....what are they for? They seem a little high to put something directly in front of the sign. The picture of Linus Launcher....seems very just "here's a pic." The colors changed right? What does the color change do to tell the story?
  9. Dollywood has an experience that your idea kind is kind of like, I think. A few years ago, I went through this with a friend and we enjoyed it, even as adults, but it's definitely geared toward kids.
  10. At least they have the disclaimer at the bottom that reflects the reality: *Attractions list subject to change. Weather or maintenance conditions may result in delays, closures or substitutions without notice.
  11. It is a good format, but definitely lacked enthusiasm for what's to come...but, I get it, hard to be enthused about chicken tenders, burgers, fries and pizza.
  12. Completely understand that. Personally, I had decided that I was not going to renew my pass through KI because of the various things I am/was unhappy about locally. I personally chose to give my $ to Cedar Point (while it goes into the big pot anyway, at least CP will get the credit for it). If I spend any $ at KI it will be quite minimal compared to the past several years. I'm personally campaigning for @DonHelbig to get his pass from CP as well.
  13. I finally renewed my season pass. I decided to go with a CP Gold Pass with all season Fast Lane and all parks. Though I initially decided against it, I figured I wouldn't let certain things steal my joy and not visit KI at least a couple of times. I'm excited for 2024.
  14. I know! Too bad they didn't schedule the eclipse on the weekend
  15. Cedar Point used to have the Peanuts characters out before the tolls. I always hoped KI would have done the same thing when they redid the toll plaza.
  16. It was thrown in there in one of the updates.
  17. Thought the same thing. It was kind of like "here's a hole in the ground." But more of, here's a little bit of concrete. Overall, video was done pretty well. I would have loved more details on Pigpen's Mess Hall and the Beagle Scout Acres. Nothing on Franklin's Flyers either.
  18. Six Flags has the rights to a couple IPs from Warner Brothers, but unfortunately not Scooby Doo. At the moment, I don't see them integrating it back into the portfolio but never say never.
  19. Agreed with you about communication and that the specials were a step in the right direction. I just wonder what it'd be like if they put that much effort into the season long menus or at least replaced items on the menus (chicken fingers) with a special for a couple of months. Give people the reason to come back, spread the word about the food, especially to those friends that get in with BAF tickets who likely won't have a meal plan and will pay directly for their meal....$ into the park.
  20. I kind of did the same thing...I mean he came from a Casino/Hotel in Missouri, so it's not like he's not had any "big world" experience...but it seems like it's just been adding a little bit more cilantro to the chicken tenders or the food at Enrique's. The one thing I really liked at Cedar Point this past season with Grand Pavilion, was that they changed options about 1/2 way through the season....my favorite was the Herb Roasted Turkey at the beginning of the season and then they switched that out for Honey Glazed Chicken Drumsticks which I loved as well. I don't understand how KI has never really changed up their options, especially since the addition of restaurants and the meal plans. From Kings Island welcomes new executive chef and opens new restaurant | InPark Magazine: Almost a year later, I doubt that the amount of guests would agree and would share that the park has unique food offerings. At least there is tap water, though not unique.
  21. That it does.... Grain and Grille was sort of a step in the right direction, but it seems as if they won't be doing anything different/new to the menus.
  22. 45 cents for a water cup, the water is free, but the container is not.
  23. I always thought KI needed a song like this: While looking for that, I came across this: Did KI ever release their 50th song (from the Fun and 50 show)? I really enjoyed that song!
