  1. How often has ET been open this season? Would it be a loss or would it par the course?
  2. Replace Triple Loop at Indiana Beach with Scorpion!
  3. It sucks yes. I think a lot of enthusiasts are being incredibly unrealistic/unfair with the criticism on the handling of the situation. No one but the park officials and Zamperla know what conversations have happened behind "closed doors." I don't know what the conversations all included, but I can imagine that more issues had continued to be discovered/fixes not working and Zamperla was hopeful until it became evidently clear that they couldn't get it up and running for the remainder of this season. While there hadn't been a ton of testing throughout the season since the closure, it's not like there hasn't been any type of work happening. Work and conversations have happened. I'm sure there was a NDA for both parties until some sort of final decision could be made about the status of the ride. Either party wasn't required to give daily or even semi-often updates, but they gave updates when it made the best sense in regards to business, because at the end of the day, both parties are businesses. I could be 100% completely wrong and I'd own up to it if I am. I just don't think the whole thoosie attitude about the situation has been fair. It's definitely disappointing but in the grand scheme of things, I don't think it really matters at the end of the day if TT2 was operational more this season than it wasn't.
  4. The mazes were discontinued....creative teams changed, budget, staffing, new use, etc. Blackout ended in 2019.. Covid....? Wolfpack last operated in 2019 as well. Carn-Evil last operated in 2017 and Peanuts Showplace opened in it's place.
  5. I would rather if they do it, they actually do it right than just throwing it together. Wine & Food Festival was essentially botched as was Grand Carnival. Take more time to plan and do it right instead of last minute.
  6. I'm not thinking that....it'll be a bit morrrrrre apparrrrrrrrrrant!
  7. I have a feeling one of the "zones" will be rebranded to be more gory, but I think that'll be the only major change.
  8. To be fair, it'd do well in Cincinnati....the implementation of it at KI would not do well....cough Wine & Food Festival cough cough.
  9. I wonder if Winterfest will eventually be rebranded into "Holiday In The Park." When you look at www.sixflags.com under "discover our events" there is no mention of Winterfest, but there is of Holiday In The Park.
  10. I like this name! They should use it instead of RiverRacers!
  11. I'm not sure it's big enough. I haven't been in it in years, so, not sure if space wise it'd work. The positive to either location would be that they are close to water/sewer lines.
  12. With the extended Haunt schedule, I wonder if they'll have one weekend less of Winterfest at the beginning.
  13. Well.... 3 posts on Facebook for the campaign...July 15th, 18th and the 26th....not even a last chance reminder. Wonder how the campaign actually went.
  14. As someone who loves, thrives and partakes in haunt (and acts in different ones out of the park world), KillMart to me would be the most logical to go, especially since the location is prime real estate as an under utilized building on the midway. Yeah, I know we could say the same about the former Crypt building, but that's more building than a lounge would need. A location like this would make me move more toward getting Prestige vs not.
  15. My point is, why not get rid of it completely and redo the space? If KD can take a fairly popular restaurant and re-do it into a lounge, why can't KI do that with an old outdated Haunt maze?
  16. Why not put the prestige lounge in the Killmart building? Is Killmart still relevant in "haunts" as far as zombies go? Why not clean it up? Why not move it from next to the dumpster and the bathrooms?
  17. After the 2015 summer season, there was talk about removing the ride (before Covid) as it was getting band aid fixes. A friend of mine was a part of the team removing some of the electrical components. The removal was temporary as it was decided to try to continue the status quo when it became evident that Shoot The Rapids was to be removed.
  18. Had a great time visiting Boardwalk Nights at Cedar Point over the past 3 days. I loved seeing the beach full of people for hours straight, various entertainment on the beach including a choreographed kite show (like what?!?!?). The kite show was surprising to me and blew me and the crowds away. It was fun watching and then hearing people clapping at the end of each song. Boardwalk nights features a Cavalcade utilizing performers, three of the floats from the 150th parade, stilt walkers and a high energy soundtrack with dancing involved! Of course, walking the boardwalk you get some great views of Magnum: There are a handful of games to play for a fee, but there are various things to do for free! I did the photo scavenger hunt, of which you to take photos of about 10 or so things to "turn in" to receive special event buttons: The only 4 buttons I missed where the 3 participation ones (you had to participate in a show) and the "I completed all the things" button. For those who like to have a 21 year old + drink, you can get a shaker cocktail or beer right on the boardwalk and it also is a part of the scavenger hunt (there is a kid friendly/non alcoholic version of the shakers as well). The boardwalk evening ends with small pyrotechnics. This event is so well thought out and completely enjoyable! If you get a chance to check it out! I know that @DonHelbig and I were impressed when we checked it out on Thursday evening together. Check out his blog about it here: https://themeparksbydon.com/experience-the-magic-of-cedar-points-boardwalk-nights/
  19. I missed the waterspout by an hour, would have loved to see it in person.
  20. Most likely won't get there...CP is calling me.
  21. I never made it to see the show, I'm sort of sad that I didn't...but also not. If it were extended again or came back next year I'd attempt to see it.
  22. Sure, a list may be out there, but that won't stop people from buying other items. I mean, you have a list of park hours and people still ask what time the park opens/closes. It's silly to think that this list is the only thing people will bring and/or the park will accept.
