I love RideSims...don't play it nearly enough.

I do hope they do some painting on it, so it's not just black....glad they painted the concrete.

My favorite teaser campaign still to this day was for Dinosaurs Alive featuring @DonHelbig. Only 1 of the teaser videos remains, and it's the least great one. Someone who is no longer at the park removed most of that campaign from Youtube.

But no one has so far (other than CoasterJack for PTON). Last year I was able to get the permits/project info online (I don't live close enough to just hop on down there to do this) including the cost of project and construction documents. Now, they list permits issued monthly....so January will be available sometime in February.

I'm pretty positive Siren's Curse was never in the conversation to come to KI. It was SF Mexico and then SIX decided Cedar Point.

Ahh that's right....I guess I corelated it with later since it didn't open with it in 2012, but it was added after the season started.

The way Mason has changed how they share permits, we won't know until the process has already started or unless someone gets any permits in person.

Canada's Wonderland did this with Leviathan. I think a year or two after it opened.

I'd rather they get rid of BAB all together.

Now the question is, will it have about 95% of Peanuts merch as in the past or will it feature more KI themed merch? Will it continue to be a repeat of items found elsewhere on I-Street?

Working in school systems, I can say, the grad classes of this world and time, can't handle it, at least here in Ohio.

I know we have talked on here how we all want the front gate area to be completely changed....I'd be fine if they'd just upgrade and make the entry plaza more cohesive. I hate when I park in the south lot and can't use the security on the south side of the plaza...it's a pain in the @$$ lol. It's also a pain when they only staff the south side and I park in the north. Staff both or renovate to make the center area the access more guest friendly.

People always bring up Fury 325 in comparison to Orion on forums and Facebook...to me, Fury ranks lower than Orion (I've said this before) because after the tunnel it's like they tried to figure out how they could get back to the station and what they came up with did nothing for me...made it feel less complete as a whole ride. Whereas, Orion feels complete. It's as if those on forums and facebook pages (yeah I'm calling out my page) are the ones who overanalyze and become unenthused as coaster enthusiasts when it's something they personally don't like.

And those who refer to it as GIGA-Light or "Is it even a real GIGA" are those who post on online forums/thoosie pages/etc. I have yet to hear average day-to-day guests say either about Orion.....only are those who are you can spot from a mile away as an "enthusiast."

Zephyr usually goes down to the ground every year as does Cedar Point's (usually stripped to bare bones).

I agree but I think it could be cooler in front of the circle where the big Christmas tree usually is because they force guests enter security often to one side or the other...if they could utilize both sides that'd be great and the greenery could be seen in the middle. Whereas, if it were circled, people entering from the south side of the parking lot, may not see it.

As much as I love Vortex, I'd rather have a replacement and/or new attraction not named after it. There are other rides named Vortex (with one essentially using the same type font and one used the same logo), for those looking for nostalgia. The renaming of Flight Deck to The Bat was fan driven...but I'd argue it was a better idea because of the addition of Banshee than if the park put in a new ride/attraction to just name it The Bat because there was a former ride named it. IMO it'd be better if there was a desire to keep The Vortex name, to rename Invertigo than putting in a new ride/attraction naming it after the former ride in Coney. Carowinds (same type font) Canada's Wonderland (former logo)

KI did have a 4th of July event in Picnic Grove https://cpfoodblog.com/kings-island-4th-of-july-bbq-2015/ The question is, would it actually be worth it to do it now with meal plans being available, better quality food around the park, etc?

KI doesn't need to be more crowded on the 4th of July. What exactly would be a specialty food for 4th of July? Brats? Adding specialty foods, activities and entrainment is a lot to do for 1 day. Sure if they'd do the entire week, that would justify it.

Sure, Orion isn't the best of the best....it's not a MF or a Fury (which isn't my favorite by any means)...but it is what it is. It wasn't originally meant for KI...but we got it. It's my favorite in the park and my 2nd favorite Giga. Literally the only people I see who complain about Orion are the 'thoosies online. The roller coaster 'thoosies are the most unenthused people about their hobby.

Six Flags Mexico is opening the Speedway Stunt Coaster later this month. Linked below is a news story on it and then a video from Six Flags showing off the ride. SIx Flags Mexico Family Coaster Opens This Month Six Flags Video Looks like great theming around the ride and it's interesting that this received better theming than Soap Box Racers.
