Disneyland Paris Pirates Mishap.

If the kid was standing on the seat and would not sit not much Disney could do at that point. -
Everything under the station was take out. Plus it would look really funny with fog coming out the backside of The Bat cars.

Not a great a picture you can kinda make one of The Bat cars. I am not saying it was going to Kings Island just what could have been if it worked out. In the background the Arrow bobsled coaster. Both coasters where at the Arrow testing area.

Found a picture of The Bat trains testing on a corkscrew track.

Hope I don't have to wait 33 years to ride the new Son of Beast. Does Kings Island still have the old Bat sign or has it been lost to time?
-
Wow we just need to rename Drop Zone to The Screamin Demon.

The trams always had a long line at night. My dad used to make me walk to the car. If or when Kings Island expands into its parking lot I could see the trams return as battery operated trams.

thanks for answering I was just curious. the only way I knew it used to be red is I have a pamphlet from early 2000's and they used a pic of it when it was top gun and the track was red, but I didn't know what year it debuted. Had to be 1993 when the coaster opened.

Unless the coaster was going to be called Batman: The Ride and changed back for some reason.

Took these pictures today.

SteelHawk (WindSeeker) new for 2014 at Worlds of Fun
Vortex replied to malem's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I been on both a skyscreamer and WindSeeker. Skyscreamer gives the better ride. -
Like I said in the other topic if the power gets cut the ride comes to a stop. It's more of a flat ride and you have to call the log flume a coaster also if you would count surf dog. Cedar Point could have called Demom Drop a coaster It had a lift hill and track.

Six Flags: New for 2014
Vortex replied to Ride On_17's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I used to think surf dog was a coaster also, but if the power goes out the ride stops not really to much fun. I have been on a coaster with the power getting shut off before it still works after some pushing from the nice maintenance crew at Cedar Point. -

Six Flags: New for 2014

The Park just put this out. Also, Some Sad News: To make room for the newest addition to Six Flags Great Adventure, we must bid farewell to a classic. Rolling Thunder, our classic wooden coaster, will close to the public on September 8 to help make way for construction of the new ride. New technological advances and preferences have created a new generation of thrill rides, and Rolling Thunders popularity has decreased over the years. Be sure to tackle this coasters 85-foot drop and 10 dipping hills before it slips into history. -
Photos, or it isn't true. It's getting old please stop.

The Amusement Park World without Kings Island
Vortex replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Kings Island
Fess Parker would have built a Disneyland type park in Boone County, Ky. -
My list is Big bad Wolf, Vortex, Flight Deck, and last Iron Dragon.

Screamscape reported that Mean Streak may close down a few weeks early for maintenance, not to change it to another type of coaster.I don't think this would be the first time they started the yearly maintenance on the ride before the end of the season. Mean Streak has been closing down early for the past 3 years for maintenance. Your not really missing much that area of the park is closed off during Halloween.
-
And I understand this point, but at the same time, look at the teaser trailer for Banshee. You have buried The Bat already, and I think that teaser honestly puts the name change to rest. Whatever happens will happen. If you happen to goto Cedar Point during Halloween you will see a grave for the old Shoot The Rapids.

You can see the house in the Ariel picture from 1972. It's the one listed as back of 1970's house. Fun fact that's not the original Fort on the Train ride. It's was moved when they built Water Works.
