I can't wait until the park is open during the weekdays and the stupid entrance is going to back Western Row and Columbia up even more than they already are. They should have had all of the work completed by the beginning of April.

Noticed this morning on my way to work. There is a large pile of dirt located on the softball field right outside of the employee entrance.

For Carowinds: My wife and I stopped as part of a larger trip, so we stayed in downtown Charlotte to enjoy some night life, it was about a 20 minute drive to the park. My wife and I went on a Saturday in July and were surprised at how short the lines were in the regular park, the water park was pretty busy though. We went in the South entrance, which had maybe ~100 people waiting at the rope and went straight to Nighthawk, if you want to ride, ride it early as it's capacity is even worse than Firehawk. It's a little different, being a 1st generation Flying Coaster, and some people prefer it. I thought it was good. We would have waited 2 trains, but it broke down for about 20 minutes, surprise surprise. We then went Counter Clockwise around the park, riding Richocet (which is a blast) and some of the other rides, doing Fury right before lunch at about 12:30. We waited about 20 minutes. After lunch we rode Boo Blasters (I'd skip it, we waited about 30 minutes, it's basically the same as ours with different cars) then went to Intimidator. We ate at Harmony Hall, it was alright, nothing to write home about. Either way, have a lot of fun.

As a former AT team member, I'd love to see it reopen. Urgent Scare has fallen into disrepair and is easily among the worst haunts in the park. If the Plants vs. Zombies ride at Carowinds does well, I think that they will put something similar to that in the AT building.

Exactly where can I see the satellite images of the SpongeBob figures? I don't think you can make out SpongeBob, but you can definitely see Patrick.

And honestly, some of the best Haunted Houses that they've had. The Freezer was a great maze under the Eiffel Tower, the makeup was excellent. I remember snippets of the others, but it was just overall well run. I would put it roughly at the same quality as Land of Illusion. I do believe, however, that even with a season pass it was an upcharge, maybe $15.00?

Went to Haunt this past Friday and just had a couple of points to make. It seemed like every maze was running VERY thin on staffing. I would venture to guess that most of the houses had about 10 people working, in addition to a few roamers I saw. This issue was persistent all night. I really enjoyed Blackout, it was my favorite of the night. It was also the longest wait of the night for me, about 30 minutes.

UPDATE: I have confirmed that the Taco Bell coupons give you the tickets at the same price as online, without the service fee. I just went to the Kings Mills Taco Bell and picked them up for my friends and myself.

Does anyone happen to know what the Taco Bell coupon is? I tried to call a store local to me, but they had trouble understanding my question. I saw it advertised at the bottom of the latest Haunt commercial.

This would be amazing at KI, but didn't they basically gut the interior of Action Theatre? RIP My sweet prince.

Searched myself, but didn't come up with much. I'm going to Haunt tomorrow with some friends and looking for the cheapest tickets. It appears that the online tickets are 35.98 with the service charge. Are they selling Haunt tickets at Kroger? Coupons at Taco Bell? None of our group will be likely to purchase season passes for next year, so that's out of the picture. Thanks!

This fight was probably pre-orchestrated prior to these kids even going to Carowinds. A lot of these large fights happen in public places like this. Does anyone remember the Pretty Ricky concert at KI? Kids will be kids.

KI wouldn't spend money to paint a roller coaster just to sell it. Also, when is the last time you remember Cedar Fair selling a major roller coaster? Also, not to mention, the ride fits inside of a very unique footprint.

If they are making red track, it certainly isn't for Kings Island. Not this early in the game.

I was at Carowinds on Saturday and even though it was REALLY hot, I found the park to be pretty quiet. The longest wait of the day was in the Bay for Dorsal Fin Drop and it was about 35 minutes. Walked onto Nighthawk, Thunder Road, Vortex, Hurler, and Carolina Cyclone. Waited about 25 minutes for Fury, Ricochet, and Afterburn; and 35 minutes for Intimidator. All of the queue lines at that park are remarkably small with the exception of Fury and Intimidator.

$12.00 guest parking + 200 dollars for tire you shredded in the sink holes in the parking lot. They really need to pave the employee parking lot, especially.

As of 2011 they did hire a pest control expert to come in the park at night and try and trap raccoons, squirrels, etc. I think you underestimate the number of these creatures that live out in the woods behind the park. There are almost 200 acres of unused land that they probably live in.

It was Dracula's Haunted Castle and it was so awful it should never be spoken of again.

There is a river nearby, you just can't see it. Also, that area used to have canoe rides.

I too miss my dear friends Puppet, Beautiful Bobby, and Turtle.
