  1. Except KI isn't getting the shaft as evidenced by everything they've done since acquiring the park, not just the coasters. You just sound ignorant of what's actually going on, but instead, you just sound like a whiny fanboy who isn't getting his way because the park might not get a giga, or an Intamin, or whatever you're fancying Kings Island getting, to the point where you're saying Kentucky Kingdom, a niche park at best, is going to take some sort of significant chunk from KI's attendance from a coaster they can't afford. A vast majority of your posts have been just that despite a lot of members posting stuff about the contrary, none of which you actually make a great deal of effort to refute without resorting to your usual praise of Intamins and parks that have gigas. Believe it or not, most people have the ability to be sympathetic and empathetic in their opinions by taking the knowledge they gain from other people and applying that to what they know. Its how we grow and develop. You act like people can't do that regardless of their circumstance. That's a really crappy way to treat people and it shows you have no respect for those members (or anyone else here right now with the way you're trolling us right now).
  2. Where you're from and what your home park is doesn't mean that person doesn't have a valid point. If you have to resort to discrediting people for stuff like that, it means you don't have a valid argument yourself.
  3. ^Are you rooting against KI on a KI fansite? Have fun with that.
  4. ^Did you not see the smiley in my picture post? That was meant to be sarcasm.
  5. Uh...we are NOT doing a Steeler themed coaster thank you very much.
  6. Just got my Coasterstock package. It's kinda cool getting things like credentials and such. I forget, what are the wrist bands for?
  7. You guys saying KI is getting the shaft are completely delusional.
  8. Mack looping trains look cooler than Premier's.
  9. ^And the badly designed paths leading up to the equally badly designed bridge on the entrance side of the park.
  10. KK has no hilly terrain, it's all flat.
  11. Upon further review- it sounded like the guard was saying that cameras weren't allowed on the rides/roller coasters (the last word he said as it cut out started with an 'r' to me). I guess the cameraman took that as a no cameras in the park spiel.
  12. I'm pretty sure that's an isolated incident considering I brought my phone which has a camera into the park on both my visits so far this season. The park's FAQ doesn't mention a camera ban either.
  13. I promise you SOB and Diamondback in the rain were/are way worse, the former in more ways than 1.
  14. KI currently has the 3rd most amount of inversions of any park in the world at 25 (CP at 2 with 28 and SFFM at 1 with 36).
  15. The coaster building wars from back in the early 2000s are over. There isn't a pressing need for any park to keep building bigger and faster, especially if the projected ROI isn't there to back up an urge for a park to build something like a giga. SIX learned that lesson the hard way. Kings Island has done fine without having to 'keep up' with Cedar Point, regardless if they've been in the same ownership or not. I personally don't want to see Kings Island copy CP verbatim in terms of ride collection. Banshee, Diamondback and Timbers were built because those were major holes in our line up compared to what the GP expects out of a park of Kings Island's size in today's environment. However, I think KI has the luxury of being able to be more unique in their selection from here on out in terms of thrilling coasters. I think KI needs to bolster their intermediate ride collection at this point, like a few family coasters and some flats.
  16. No, we're saying to consider all the other likely possibilities as well and don't exclusively focus on a giga. I can think of quite a few things that could come instead of a giga. Personally, I think KI needs to put a bit more focus on the intermediate range of guests, stuff in between what you find in Planet Snoopy and the coasters that are in the 48" height restrictions, like a Mack wild mouse or a Vekoma family coaster. In terms of the next thrilling coaster, there's things like B&M floorless, a ground up RMC, a Mack or Premier launch coaster, etc. to choose from as well. Think outside the giga box just because CW, KD and Carowinds got 'em.
  17. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a launch coaster with a bit more umph than FoF and Backlot at Kings Island. Backlot is more of a family ride anyway if we're talking multi-launchers. I wanna see something that launches to 70+ mph and has the appropriate elements to go along with it.
  18. I seem to recall everyone guessing giga when Banshee was coming to light as well...
  19. Taco Bell at an amusement park sounds like bad juju. All the protein spills all the time. Nothing good can come from that.
  20. I mean, all coasters have their hiccups the first few weeks, but a brake/block failure is a bit more on the serious side. I also don't get why RMC is changing up their rolling stock so often. Why can't they come up with a design they're comfortable with and stick with it?
  21. Just fair warning, we just got the system here on the west side that's tracking to KI, and included with the rain is pea to chickpea size hail.
  22. I was able to request not to close that Friday night, so I shouldn't arrive as a half-zombie that morning.
