  1. So I have to ask- what's the .001%? silver2005, asking questions.
  2. I want a giga in Behemoth's/Talon's colors.
  3. I have a request for those of you who are artsy. I would like 3 print outs of the coasters I have pegged as my likely 100th credit during my trip to PA and NJ. EDIT: Due to a slight miscalculation on getting admission tickets, it'll be at Knoebels, so either Phoenix or Twister. Just some ideas from me- use the actual logos, something that matches the coasters' color scheme, the number 100, maybe an image of the ride. Make them fit on a 8x11 piece of paper in landscape, something that'll show up well in a photo of me holding it. PM me if you've got something.
  4. Feeling pretty good about waiting until July to head up right about now...
  5. Hush puppies+Carolina Mustard=food bliss.
  6. I wonder why Beast has had so much downtime so far this season.
  7. Would you guys quit acting like Cedar Point is this all high and mighty park to Cedar Fair that they wouldn't let their other parks build things bigger?
  8. I think a lot of us underestimate the fan base SOB accumulated during its life. There's a lot of people who loved it despite all its flaws. I think it played a part in the park deciding to build a GCI woodie right after that.
  9. I would like to amend my guess. Given the amount of space, I think this has a slim chance to be a launched floorless coaster. Also because their only launch coaster at the moment is a Backlot clone.
  10. ^There are smaller dive coasters B&M has made that are only 6 across instead of 8 or 10. I'm not ready to call this a dive coaster quite yet. If they did that, I don't think they'd settle for the 6 across cars for a park as busy as CW is. It's clearly not an inverted coaster or a flying coaster, the tunnel is much too narrow for a wing coaster, and CW already has a hyper and a giga. I'm leaning towards a standard floorless at this point.
  11. There's also, you know, this certain iconic giant tower in the middle of the park to take pictures from if you have trouble with camera angles.
  12. I'm of the opinion that with Timbers, Banshee and Diamondback, Kings Island already solidified their coaster line up, and there isn't much competition for them to deal with (at least no nearby parks that are on equal footing), so anything they get from here on out is pretty much the cherry on top. I'm hoping for a bit of variety and originality from here on out. I'm okay with sacrificing a bit of capacity for something really unique, mainly because these recent additions have also had the added effect of spreading out the lines in the park, and most of the more popular rides are pretty good line chewers. In short, Kings Island's next coaster doesn't need to be a giga IMHO.
  13. They are also a major ice cream chain outside the park, though pretty exclusive to the Cincinnati area.
  14. There's a piece of advice I've learned here over the years that should be aptly applied to this thread. Just because event B happened after event A doesn't mean event A caused event B. I think you guys are stretching and grasping at many, many coincidences. Also, another bit of advice I've picked up, those who know don't speak, those who speak don't know.
  15. A few other things I've noticed about this season- - Flight of Fear is running with an annoying vibration, at least near the back of the train - The ride ops are spieling less, even on KI&MVRR - Food service is quite good for this early in the season all around - more things working on Boo Blasters (though our guns weren't working very well) - Beast is suspending operations for fireworks around 25 minutes before they start now - Ride ops are doing a lot more small talk when checking restraints, in a good way - Watch the fireworks from International Street at least once this season, its such a great show, can't wait to see if they include the OTC band This season looks to be one of the best yet. There's a lot of potential for something special, especially for a year without a real new major attraction like a Banshee or Mystic Timbers. There's a lot of good energy at the park.
  16. Yes, very minimal waits today. Most everything is a.cycle wait and walk on. Wind has kept Drop Tower and WindSeeker down. Beast has had a lot of hiccups today.
  17. Would one even have enough time at CP or KI do pull off 2 meals visiting both?
  18. KI just proved that GCI's can do well in bigger parks even after building several bigger coasters (Diamondback and Banshee). It's not all about building bigger.
  19. I've heard that attached to a boardwalk section along the beach, which, looks kinda plausible now with the activity around WindSeeker and Wicked Twister.
  20. You guys do realize when they do pictures of food for advertising and promotions, etc, they dress up all that food and add air and stuff to it, right?
  21. Does KK have any buildings they could use for a dark ride?
  22. Though it might be a bit too close to GWL, that's about what I'm thinking too.
  23. ^They don't have the means to have that kind of plan right now though. They're a niche park and should continue to operate like one. It's a wiser long term plan than putting all their eggs in one attraction. Not to mention there is no way that Kentucky's government approves of such a large expenditure.
