Will Diamondback always be the tallest at KI?

I'd highly complain. I consider Viking Fury to be one of the better flats in the park. -

Hersheypark also takes care of their wooden coasters way better than most SIX parks and BGT did. Comet still runs like its new. -

A 168 tall water slide with an up hill part not even a third of the height in a vehicle which has no way of staying on the slide (such as upstop wheels)? Sounds pretty close to a RCT ride that you'd design if you wanted to kill the guests. Sure they added magnets and height to the uphill portion, but that sure didn't do enough. Even boats launching off the slide didn't prevent it from opening. That's just sheer negligence. -

That area around Oktoberfest is one of the few quieter places left in the park. Personally, I'd like to keep it that way. -
Is the cashless system something they're trying out that's new this year or is it something they've had implemented for a while? I'm trying to see how this thing works because the rides are worth a certain amount of points. I'm trying to see what I'm getting when I buy admissions or if there are certain levels at Waldameer. It's looking like something similar to Knoebels. EDIT: After further reading on the website, I found the unlimited options. I'd rather not be going around having to worry about recharging the card/wristband.

I've been delving into each of the parks' FAQ sections to see if there are any interesting quirks. On SFGAdv- I like how it specifically mentions not to bring in laser pointers off all things, like they pick that one specific thing to bring up. Also, how does one go about transferring hand stamps exactly? On Waldameer- for anyone who has been there- what's your opinion on the cashless operations there?

I will say that my take on the SFGAdv coasters is slightly skewed because the one time I did go, I had a head cold, so I didn't quite hold BTR in high regard since it was all a blur to me, but I imagine my views on it may improve slightly. Also, my last visit was before Nitro was even built (Medusa was the newest coaster at the time, this would be 2000). I didn't share Terpy's view on Rolling Thunder in the slightest. However, I did find Great American Scream Machine to be vastly underrated. Unfortunately, both sides of Chiller were down, so I didn't get that rare credit. I also didn't get Skull Mountain. I did ride one of the worst steel coaster ever envisioned, being the Togo designed Viper (stood where El Toro now stands). Combine a claustrophobic environment with the support rings along with god awful restraints and jack hammering, and you have one bad coaster. I remember being a bit impressed by some of the theming SIX had to offer, especially their DC stuff. Runaway Mine Train was rather mediocre. Medusa (which was a year old at the time, that yellow and purple paint scheme was mesmerizing) was one of the coasters that got me into being an enthusiast and made me fall in love with B&M floorless coasters. I simply love that thing. While Nitro, El Toro, Superman (which will be my first B&M flying coaster), and Kingda Ka are rides I highly anticipate, I am looking forward to finally getting Chang/Green Lantern as a credit. I was planning to go down to, what was then, SFKK during the off season prior to its closure, and I still kinda like stand up coasters. Also, that new flat ride they got this year looks insane. Joker and the Dark Knight mouse in a box are the icing on top. ' Hershey, IMO, has one of the most well rounded coaster collections of any park I've been to (they could do slightly better on flats, but they've been addressing that lately). I don't think there is a single coaster except Trailblazer (which is one of the most boring coasters out there, even for a starter coaster IMO) that I didn't find, at minimum, pretty decent. My only thing is I wish they would have kept the PTC's on Wildcat because it felt wilder (in a good way, they also made this awesome vibrating roar in the final helix) than it did when it switched to the Flyers. I even found Sidewinder enjoyable, and that was with its original train. All their coasters were re-rideable as well. My last visit was 2008 when Fahrenheit was new with a previous visit in 2003 as well. They combine some old school charm with the new stuff incredibly well. I like what focus they had on their candy products that didn't come off as over the top either. It has a charm that rubs off on me that makes me not want to leave at the end of the day. Oh, and Great Bear, Storm Runner, Comet, and Lightning Racer are all awesome-tastic. As for some other views on the rides at the parks I haven't been to, I'd say Dorney has the most I'm looking forward to. Hydra and Talon both look like B&M's breadbasket (I think Hydra is going to give Bizarro and Rougarou a run for their money), and both having heard amazing things about Steel Force and having experienced 2 Morgan coasters and holding both in high regard (Lightning Run and Phantom's Revenge), I anticipate good things from SF. Also looking forward to picking up a relocated GL credit in Possessed. I'm a pretty big fan of Intamin Impulse coasters. I will be allowing myself to take my time more at Waldameer since I now plan on staying a night around Erie, so I won't have to rush through it. I'll probably make my off day be the day I go from Erie to Allentown, so I'll likely be doing Knoebels, then HP, then DP, then NJFTP. I'm trying to avoid doing HP and SFGAdv back to back. Again, weather will play a factor in that order. I'm looking forward to anything and everything that has to do with Knoebels.

^It won't stop me from liking GCI's if that's what you're inferring. Granted, El Toro is probably in my top 5 in terms of the coasters I have high expectations for (including the likes of Steel Force, Nitro, the Knoebels woodies, Ravine Flyer II and Talon), but that doesn't negate that GCI's are still amazing. Remember, I also get Ravine Flyer II, Pheonix, Twister, and Lightning Racer in this trip as well. I will be doing reviews on every coaster I ride, including ones I've already done before. I also like to keep a ranking of the credits I've ridden, which can be found in my profile under 'About Me', and I'm not afraid of explaining how I like certain ones over others.

As for dates, I'm aiming for around June 22nd-27th. I'm currently waiting until the end of the semester and for my tax refund to get here to see how things look on the financial end. Also, I am waiting for my summer community band schedule to come out so I can plan around that, so it will probably be around early May when I actually book everything. I probably won't do the more intricate planning like routes (particularly in regards to the PA Turnpike) and stuff until the semester ends. Got a busy 2 weeks ahead (as of this post).

If you've been on other GCI's and like what you got out of them, you'll like Mystic Timbers. If you haven't, here's a rundown of what's in store. GCI knows how to best make use of their articulated Millennium Flyer design. And by that, I mean every row is it's own car. It allows for the various forceful energies (like G forces and things that lead to overall wear and tear) to disperse along the trains more evenly than multi-bench designs like PTC's. And with that, GCI's courses rarely let up. You won't find much of any straight track between the lift and final brakes. I think they take it even further in that they have elements within elements. What may look like a simple curve may have a sudden drop in the middle or just a subtle change in banking which creates all sorts of surprises within simple elements. It's full of airtime as well, from a few stronger points like most of the drops after the 2nd drop as well as quick successions of fast paced air time where you go up and down very quickly. Mystic Timbers also has some mean laterals as well, especially the bottom of the first drop and most of the curves around the tunnel at the far end. There are points where you'll be pinned to the side something fierce. It's got a decent trick track section right before it rises up to the brakes as well. That last quick curve into the brakes is pretty forceful (I actually like riding it on the right side entirely for that last curve). It has a surprising amount of energy and momentum at the end of the ride. Now, IMO, it's not my favorite GCI, as I do like Thunderhead and Lightning Racer a bit better (mainly because I prefer GCI's twister layouts over their out and back layouts), but Mystic Timbers is still a great coaster from beginning to end. The shed, to me, gives it a nice bit of character. Sure its cheesy, but that's part of why I like it. Oh, and if you want some killer air time, the last row is where you want to be.

^The SOB stuff was exponentially worse.
-
As said many other times on this site elsewhere- most weather forecasts aren't very accurate until about 48 hours ahead of time. Wouldn't set anything in stone quite yet.
-
Does everyone remember before this when every topic on here would become a SOB topic even if SOB wasn't even in the same zip code as the original post's intentions? Good times.

Capacity isn't everything.

For your information, I would be playing this while waiting in the queue.

Gerstlauer already does that concept better. They're called Eurofighters and Infinity Coasters. Minus the floorless part, but still better. -

^How about no. Now a floorless coaster (not a floorless dive coaster) on the other hand...
