^The SOB stuff was exponentially worse.
-
As said many other times on this site elsewhere- most weather forecasts aren't very accurate until about 48 hours ahead of time. Wouldn't set anything in stone quite yet.
-
Does everyone remember before this when every topic on here would become a SOB topic even if SOB wasn't even in the same zip code as the original post's intentions? Good times.
-
Capacity isn't everything.
-
For your information, I would be playing this while waiting in the queue.

KI needs a wild mouse. Nuff said.

Will Diamondback always be the tallest at KI?

Gerstlauer already does that concept better. They're called Eurofighters and Infinity Coasters. Minus the floorless part, but still better. -

^How about no. Now a floorless coaster (not a floorless dive coaster) on the other hand... -
^Could you provide evidence of a park along Cedar Point's caliber that spent a little less on a coaster like a GCI and had a substantial drop in attendance? You're talking like its happened before or is some sort of trend. Because Alton Towers, Europa Park, SFMM, BGW and BGT weren't afraid to invest in a GCI and they're hardly what I'd consider smaller parks. Granted, BGT did close theirs, but that hardly negates my point.

I'd narrow it down to a GCI or a flying coaster. They practically have every coaster type there, so a B&M flyer makes sense, but they could use another traditional wooden coaster as well. I feel its a bit odd doing a GCI right after a RMC rehab. I would think something family oriented since every coaster CP has installed since 2000 has been for the high thrill crowd including 2 massive B&M coasters nearly built one right after another. Iron Dragon needs something to compliment it with how its run during its VR hours.

^ One other thing to note is that Kings Island doesn't have the likes of Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood to contend with. I have an idea about entertainment that would utilize Timberwolf more as well- invite some of the plethora of community bands in the area to play at the park.
-
I completely agree with @chugh43 on the entertainment. More so given the fact that Cincinnati is a HUGE fine arts hub. Its one of the meccas of high quality live entertainment, especially when it comes to anything musical. UC's College Conservatory of Music is one of the premier music schools in the country. NKU and Miami U also have fantastic fine arts programs. There's a lot of talent to gleam from this area. You have 2 fantastic music groups in the Pops and CSO, and there are great venues for musicals and plays as well. I could go on, but for Kings Island not to use that talent is kind of a tragedy.

Kings Island Announces 2018 Changes

^Because poutine is really big in Canada and not so much here in the States. As evidenced by our spell checker. It doesn't like poutine for some reason. -
I think the shed adds a little more charm to an otherwise boring part of the ride. Especially nice if they ever have to stack. One thing I would suggest they do is to change up small things every once in a while, like the music selection from the radio. I don't mind things being a bit cheesy at amusement parks. To me, that's part of the appeal. Case and point- Adventure Express' ending.

So with all these added BBQ places in the park, is there still a place for Montgomery Inn or could it be possibly be phasing out? -
Dorney Park is removing Stinger
silver2005 replied to jcgoble3's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It had a pretty rough life. This particular coaster has just been plagued by downtime issues and getting riders stuck on the lifts, particularly during its life in California. I'm still amazed KI's has run as good as it has. -
Totally random under rated things in the park

I save my quarters for much more important purchases. Like practicing my timing of the geysers on White Water Canyon. -
Uh...I can explain.

I'm now officially signed up for my first Coasterstock as a member of ACE. Going on May 19th. EDIT: Massive typo.

The giga I envision would indeed start in X-base, but with how spread out they are, I could see the far turn around all the way by Bat/Timberwolf or even as far out as the parking lot exit, maybe some direct interaction with Banshee. Those big loops in addition with the surrounding space are ideal for threading. Imagine screaming through those at 80+ mph. Also, something along the color scheme as Behemoth and Talon.
