  1. I think its fake. There's no room for a train shed in that design. Just sayin'.
  2. Not to mention that dueling trains on a single-track coaster requires running two trains at all times. I've read trip reports that have said Iron Colossus sometimes runs with a single train. Its not impossible.
  3. Glad there is some advertising for the local area! It was just strange to me that I didn't see any billboards for Kentucky Kingdom, but did for the others. I've seen plenty of KI billboards in Cincinnati, so I thought I would see one for KK. Maybe they are in a different area of town than where I drove? Hart said in one of the interviews that he wouldn't poke into KI's market, Cincinnati included.
  4. Baron only has cars that are 6 wide and thus doesn't need as wide of track. Keep in mind B&M can do 8 and 10 across. Just look at SheiKra's and Griffon's track. It matches the brown track.
  5. I'm going to have to bow out tomorrow. Had some major cramping issues at tonight's concert and some other health ailments are hitting me pretty hard. It was a good concert though.
  6. You guys must run into the darndest of predicaments because I've always been asked nicely if a group can fit in around me (when I'm a single rider) to accommodate their group.
  7. When it comes to empty seats on coaster trains, I blame people who come in groups of 8 and 10 and they try to get EVERYONE on the same train, so they let a few go so they can be together. Now that's ANNOYING! What's so wrong about wanting to keep the group together? I have no problem with groups doing that.
  8. I think that has pretty much been conveyed its either Dive or Wing track Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system. Wing coaster track isn't nearly that wide and thick. Its more similar to B&M's non-dive machine models. The brown track in question looks to be precisely for a dive machine. I'm 99.999...% sure of it.
  9. I've had that situation occur to me several times this season as well, though it has only occurred on Flight of Fear and Backlot. Sure, it happens on Firehawk and Banshee as well, but with those rides, that's a common practice.
  10. The brown track appears (to me) that it might be dive machine track. It looks wider and thicker than the red track.
  11. Hmm...since I will be going at it a bit slower Sunday, I think I may put together a PTR. I've been wanting a good photo session for a while. And, of course, I will be at one of the Off the Charts! shows as well.
  12. Magnum by far. Being by the beach and having those pitch dark tunnels make it perfect to me. It also helps my first ride on her was at night as well. I make it a staple on every CP trip I make.
  13. I plan on showing up on Sunday. Gonna take it easy for that trip to savor the food.
  14. I like the fact they're cranking out 90's music in Coney Mall now. Instant nostalgia trigger for me. Twas the decade I grew to love the park. I think their music selection is fine. Its a decent mix of music while attending to their key demographics.
  15. I really like Racer. Its the 2nd best air time coaster in the park IMO. There is no difference between red and blue. My only thing is they should bring back the chaser lights at night. And before you go on asking about other rides, I can probably go on about positive things about each ride. Just ride for yourself, only you know how your tastes in rides are.
  16. ^Diamondback is one of the smoother coasters in the park. It has a bit of a vibration, but (to me) nothing bad. It focuses a lot on height, speed and airtime. It does have some semi-decent positive and lateral g's as well. I'd be one of those people who like Diamondback at night. It looks like a big black void that you're dropping into from the lift hill. It's also awesome seeing the silhouettes of the hills at night as well for me. Backlot can be a bit fun at night as the police lights and the fire effects really pop at night. If you want a trippy experience, ride WindSeeker or Shake, Rattle N' Roll at night. As mentioned, Beast, Banshee and Adventure Express are must-ride night rides. Bat and Vortex are also pretty amazing at night. Vortex in the front at night, evening or early morning has an amazing breeze. If you want a bit of craziness at night, Delirium delivers nicely. My least favorite is Firehawk. Its too well lit and the on-ride photo flash is blinding. Its very awkward for me in that riding position.
  17. With the work I'm seeing through photos done on TT, it certainly looks like a RMC job (Topper or Iron Horse). Though, it could also be that much of the structure needs replacing and it could be going back to its original state.
  18. Actually 2 (if you're referring to CF stand ups). There's Vortex at GCA as well.
  19. ^Which is odd coming from a park home to a B&M hyper with lap bars and seats that allow for a bit of freedom of movement, not to mention a B&M floorless dive machine with similar aspects and then wants these 'comfort collars'. It's like Busch Gardens went out of their way for them. I understand guest comfort is important, but its a bit hypocritical with some of the other rides in the park.
  20. Why does this have overhead restraints? Superman Ultimate Flight at SFDK (which has the same layout and trains, just minus a car) and Full Throttle at SFMM only have lapbars. In fact, this is the only Premier coaster of this train model not to have lap bars.
  21. Didn't Carowinds just purchase some surrounding land not to long ago? Also, along with doubting a new coaster coming for Carowinds next year, I also doubt Vortex would be getting a floorless conversion. It'd probably be better to tear it down and replace it with a floorless coaster with a better layout than what Vortex does (same for the CGA counterpart).
  22. They technically have one already in the form of Nighthawk, plus they just got Fury 325.
  23. I use the geysers nearly as much as you, and I've found certain groups of guests are more fun to douse than others. Its interesting to me to see how different people react. But yeah, when you get those people who complain about getting wet on WWC, that's when you let 'em have it. Life lessons via the power of H2O.
  24. Voyage is properly capitalized in that context. Ouimet is referring to Voyage to the Iron Reef at Knott's.
  25. Off the Charts sounded a lot better upon my 2nd viewing of them. Some of those singers can hold notes really, really well and they're really showing energy and passion in their performances (on par with the good Cirque performances IMO). The band looks like they're having an absolute blast.
