  1. Stand ups also have slow load times due to the seat adjustments. Even Vortex at Carowinds with only 24 riders/train took a while to dispatch.
  2. Like to get in? Pretty sure you can't buy extra tickets. You'd have to acquire them through P&G (my dad worked there 20+ years).
  3. Not a KI dream, but I dreamed I was at SFGAm of all places (never been to that park), and for some reason, half the park was in a dome, BTR had a different layout and was grey and yellow, and Volcano that ran completely different (still inverted Intamin with LIMs) from KD was there.
  4. I think people around here just associate September with the buyouts at the park with how long they've done it.
  5. 2 aspects of certain lift hills I like- the sound of Arrow lifts, and the sound off wooden lifts in addition to the smell of them when freshly greased.
  6. They deserve best food year after year. That's probably the most legit thing on these rankings.
  7. Ones that come to mind for me- Beast's (both), AE's 2nd, Millennium Force, Diamondback, Magnum, Wild Eagle, GateKeeper, Iron Dragon, Bat, Lightning Racer, Great Bear, SDL, Comet, Knoebel's Twister (uses 2 and both use the same chain motor), Runaway Mine Train (SFGAdv), Bizarro (SFGAdv), GASM (SFGAdv, defunct), Ravine Flyer II, Steel Force, Thunderbolt and Phantom's Revenge, Fahrenheit, almost all B&M inverts.
  8. ^One of the running gags on a site I used to be on was the creation of a floorless-stand up coaster. Mull that one over.
  9. I have no memory of it either. Maybe because it was down more than it ran?
  10. I think its just Intamins. He'd try to defend SFMM's defunct Flashback coaster if prompted. Also, just quit trying to get any context from him. He never explains himself ever.
  11. I have spawned something potentially unique if they go dive coaster. Plenty of coasters have drops with beyond vertical angles. How about going up a hill at a beyond vertical angle?
  12. Bulkier than the current PTC's? Not a chance. I would hope GCI could make longer trains than the 12 car trains they normally do on Flyers though if they get their hands on Beast.
  13. If Walt was there in the 90s and Kings Island already had a stand up, I have to imagine there was plans for there to be an inverted coaster where Diamondback is now. After recently riding Afterburn at Carowinds, I'd almost rather of had that than DB or Banshee if it was as good as Afterburn turned out (I personally like it more than DB and Banshee).
  14. ^Their desperate effort to keep retheming that area is also kind of a thing where time and effort could be spent doing literally anything else better.
  15. I have a feeling SIX is about to drop an anvil on CF when they do their announcements.
  16. I want to see half of the park blanketed in tarps again. Its kind of a unique event seeing the tower painted.
  17. Another problem with KD waiting so long to get a custom B&M is most of the models they're likely to get already exist at BGW and will inevitably be compared to such, and BGW is often just simply looked at as a better park, especially among locals. Also, how would a hyper from any manufacture actually play out if there's a giga on the premesis? It would have to have some very unique elements to it to set it apart from Apollo's Chariot as well. Sure, it worked in a way at Hershey, but they did a lot of other stuff around it like a new entrance. KD's management and PR doesn't seem to have the will or creativity to pull that off at the moment. I feel they need to try Knott's approach in terms of coaster selection by going with the Macks and Gerstlauers of the world. I do feel they should at least attempt to go for a B&M inverted coaster at some point. Also get some very unique flats in there as well.
  18. ^My other theory is that the management at KD has just been too afraid to go toe to toe with BGW. I have a similar alternate theory with the similar 'clause' that CP had on KI and Canada's Wonderland involving B&M's. I think its more Paramount wanted to be more out of the box and strayed away from B&M's in that regard.
  19. ^I'm pretty sure BGW has a B&M clause with KD whereas KD can't build a new one. I say new one as they got around it with Dominator being relocated.
  20. I'm actually kinda excited that KD is getting that. I rode Joker at SFGAdv, and it was surprisingly intense. They also do pretty admirable on lines if they get a good crew manning it.
  21. EDIT- Original comment deleted for being a bad take.
