@coaster sally why do you keep going on about your issues with B&M when you know by now your hack arguments are basically being thrown at a brick wall with how much other members accurately call you out? You also just leave it at your statements and never back up your arguments beyond the initial statements or using confused emoji reactions like you're butt hurt by things you can't counterargument against. What are you trying to accomplish?

I think part of the way the entrance works in opening up to the Eiffel Tower is the low ceiling in the entry. I think the contrast from having that lower ceiling and then having it open up with the Eiffel Tower standing in all its glory is what sells that feel of walking in the park. I think whatever form a new entry would take should keep that going. I think there should be some form of arched facade in front to kind of supplement the Eiffel Tower when walking up to it and give it more of a royal/international feel.

Carowinds' Camp Snoopy is actually done very, very well. If our Planet Snoopy received that kind of detail (along with some much needed shade like Carowinds' got), then we'd be in good shape. It was actually one of the areas that most surprised me about Carowinds and it kind of became one of my more favorite areas in the park.

I would venture a guess that Maverick is currently the most sophisticated coaster in Ohio. You also have to consider that there was a shortened season in 2020. Most coasters, even B&M's, take longer than that to get over their bugs. I would think that some of that time trickled into 2021 for Orion. I trust B&M and by next season or 2023, it should be on par with DB and Banshee for lack of downtime. I'm with Brad, I've seen it down a few times, but nothing more than 15-20 minutes, mostly ghost trains during my visits.

There's a certain red coaster to your left that could use it soon, too. Baynum's been busy recently.

My reason is I've had my fair share of the real deal having gone through several surgeries and other similar stuff with my medical condition, and more often than not, I steer clear of that stuff for Haunt attractions and horror movies. I'll go with friends every once in a while just to spend time with them, but otherwise I don't care for it. It isn't anything bad like a trigger, but I normally don't care for that stuff. For example, I marathon the Ghostbusters movies on the 31st. I listen to a lot of Halloween inspired orchestral music like Danse Macabre. Etc. My Haunt visits are usually primarily for night rides on things I normally don't because I usually go for Beast, Diamondback or Banshee as my go-to night rides during the summer.

^I tend to overestimate Delirium with how I handle flats, but it then turns out Delirium gives a pretty graceful ride for what it is. I always try to focus on the scenery when it gets to full tilt. Another weird but fun thing to do is look up the whole ride.

No, wasn't in the mood, especially with no Blackout. I'm not a fan of the gorier sides of Halloween, more of the lighthearted stuff.

I then vote for Mondial Top Scan (the type of ride Carowinds' Electro-Spin is) in Area 72. That would look amazing against the backdrop of Orion's lighting package at night. Anyone still make Top Spins out there?

I went up to Kings Island tonight expecting rain to quell the crowds. Alas, that didn't occur until later and the rain only served to close the park slightly early. Got a full round of rides on the big coasters sans Backlot and grabbed a few rides on Drop Tower and Delirium to boot. I seriously need to ride Delirium more. Its such a great flat, especially at night seeing all the colors of the park fly by at various angles. Rain did help in the wooden coaster department. Got my first taste of Racer in the rain with the re-tracking, and oh boy is it so, so, so goooooood. For Beast, I knocked off a bucket list item in getting to ride it during a thunderstorm. 2 cells had just enough space to allow the last 2 trains of the night to dispatch, I got LROTN, and it is something out of the RL Stine novel. Completely insane and awesome. One of my favorite night rides I've ever had. Planned on 1-1, but decided on 4-2 instead, which, not only protected me from the rain a bit, but I also got to see the train silhouetted against the 2nd tunnel via lightning, which is the most epic Beast moment ever. I also got my first night rides on Orion, and it delivered pretty well. Good lighting package, and the first drop feels like it takes forever and feels like you're dropping into a big black void. Also helps that it, Banshee and Bat were hauling a** tonight. Bat in particular had an extra dose of intensity to it. Also, also, I miss Vortex.

Lines not bad tonight yet. Beginning to pick up though. Edit- crews not named Orion are dragging tonight, especially Banshee's.

I find towards the middle of the train is the most consistently comfortable ride on Invertigo. You go towards the front/back if you want a bit more intensity (on top of what it already has). Also, if you want to try to avoid grey/black outs, focus on breathing. silver2005, who thinks Boomerangs of any variety are fairly underrated and wishes Vekoma would design Invertigo coaster restraints like they do their normal Boomerangs.

My preference for a new flat ride for KI would be either a S&S Screaming Swing or whatever make and model Carowinds' Electro-Spin is.

Stand ups also have slow load times due to the seat adjustments. Even Vortex at Carowinds with only 24 riders/train took a while to dispatch.
