  1. My guesses for new things are either a WindSeeker scale flat, a Planet Snoopy addition, or something with Soak City.
  2. One could also always marathon Action Zone rides to catch the concerts. @electricsun now has incentive for doing Drop Tower marathons. Also, if I recall, the park significantly empties during the concerts. I know they're changing up how admissions work, but it's still a possibility for those days.
  3. Berlin and Flock of Seagulls is actually tempting for me.
  4. It must be more minor than I thought if they're keeping it open with 1 train ops.
  5. I'm probably going to pull a malem and do IB the day I go there. Afterwards, I will likely be staying in the Ft Wayne area en route to Port Clinton/Sandusky since the lodging options around IB are few. The northern Ohio portion will be entirely dictated on weather to get the most out of 2 days at CP (I have platinum with the meal and drink plans and all season FL+). I will be leaving Indiana super early the morning after IB. The rest of the trip will be one day for Port Clinton Beach ERT and one for Cleveland and R&R HOF ERT. EDIT: I'm realizing that IB news is hard to come by. The park's website doesn't have ride info up. It does appear the Schwartzkopf looper will be done on time as most of the updates I have seen are from January with a good chunk of it up. It should go up quick considering its meant to be a portable coaster.
  6. Knowing your post history, this isn't a legitimate concern for B&M's safety, but an effort to discredit B&M for your hopes that Intamin comes back.
  7. Unfortunately, I will not likely be going. Got a bust week at work, don't want to wipe myself out on the weekend.
  8. ^Or you could always go with the ombrophobic method that Kennywood uses and close at the mere notion of rain.
  9. Are the directional signs on them new this year? Regardless, they are a welcome addition.
  10. I had ribs from Coney BBQ. They were very good, though, the blackening was a tad overdone and I had slight bits of charred bits. Still fantastic. Also, the shakes at Graeter's are bigger as well as the fact they're wearing KI 50th garb rather than Graeter's garb.
  11. Apologies, I was going off previous times where you weren't annoyed. Won't do it again.
  12. I don't know how Racer running now will be indicative of how it'll run all season, but if today was any sign, Racer has become a very, very good night ride. It ran spectacularly on the night of opening day.
  13. ^And yet there are Arrows pushing 40 and 50...
  14. Jazz and sax ERT also heard in Coney Mall.
  15. Can we keep jazz ERT and sax ERT on International Street forever?
  16. Looks to be a slow opening day. Very light crowds.
  17. I don't mind splurging for at least one meal on my trips, especially this year where I have CP paid in full for everything.
  18. Unfortunately. I thought they may have addressed it in the off season in addition to touching up the rest of the queue and station a bit. The improvements are mostly on the track.
  19. I really, really hope the computer issues at the gate are fixed for tomorrow, or else, good googly moogly.
  20. I feel like a lot of the new track in combination with the new paint is still breaking in. I felt a few bits, particularly at the bottom of drops and most of the track on the return run, felt a little raw. All the new stuff is still adjusting to the ebb and flow of the ride just a tad. Should be really great once everything is broken in though. I also wish they put a little more TLC into the station and gave it new chasers lights a la Blue Streak (I see the old ones still remain). Regardless of my nitpicks, its gorgeous in person and is definitely running at the best its had since I started riding it. It almost does feel like you're back in 1972 with how new it looks, at least, if it wasn't for the giant blue giga coaster on the left.
