Yeah, long term repairs to several buildings.....not sure about that....unless the county commissioners own the buildings on top of the property where the leasing agreement has stipulations on the conditions of the buildings at the end of the lease. I would say the park is struggling based on my one visit. I visited mid summer, mid afternoon and essentially had the run of the park. It's a neat park for sure. It seemed as if the park was more of a come and picnic park though. The one thing I think hurts them, is the additional cost (outside of admission) to ride Leap The Dips (the oldest wooden coaster in operation) even though it's worth it. Skyliner is one of my favorite wooden coasters. It's a bit rough, but the airtime is absolutely amazing. The other rides are less than memorable though. Although they do have a Toboggan coaster in operation!

Very interesting park, but I don't honestly see it being open through this extension.

And it wasn't really well maintained either.

I've read the blog post and it doesn't mention anything to theming other than speculative ideas. It just says that there will be transfer track in the shed as well....it's publicly available so I don't think it's something that couldn't be shared.

As far as the drink bottles go, I don't get them. I am waiting to see if they do anything with attaching it to your pass instead of a cup. I don't drink soda so it's not a huge thing for me. I just get a couple of the free water cups and I'm good to go. I will splurge every once in a while and get a Powerade. It's worth noting as of last year you could stop in and get a big cup of water from Reds Hall of Fame Grille at the bar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm quite the opposite. Each person's experience is how they perceived it. Yeah, there were issues early in the season but they worked themselves out mostly. The options haven't been released yet, so they may seam limited. It's park food, unless you get a salad (even that's debatable) any food you may get more than likely won't be healthy. I love the option that I don't have to spend any additional cash out of my pocket to purchase food for when I'm at the park. I also am able to use the meal plan at any other Cedar Fair Park. Last year alone, I made 25ish visits to a CF park and saved just over $500 on food (yes I actually track it). Financially it makes sense to me to use it.

It's really subjective. To those of you who have been hired by KI, just remember you cannot divulge any work information/anything that's not out to the public on this site or any social media. There are eyes everywhere. If you do post any of that kind of stuff, you may be terminated. Just a friendly reminder

And they're repainting Diamondback silver&green!

Angry Orchard in the shed? Sweet! Will folks under 21 have to wear a wristband so they don't get served any?

Cedar Point changes its long-used logo
Creed Bratton replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
But why? Why is it a bad change? I guess I'm confused as to what bearing the new logo has us that we have to like or dislike it? What do we use it for? This isn't a jab at anyone...I'm just seriously confused as to what bearing this has on any of us? -
Good luck Josh! You've got this! Be yourself, smile, look them in the eye and have fun! I always hated those questions too, although I think I was asked at KI "If you were a crayon, what color would you be and why?" I've also used those type of questions when interviewing. It's interesting the answers you get. I think typically the idea behind them is to loosen folks up.

Well in that case, awesome. Looks like a possibility has opened up.
-
That essentially means as of right now they don't have a position for you. However, your application is on file and still active, so if a position becomes available they'll contact you for an interview. It doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing, I could mean that they hired enough associates for whatever department you've applied for before they fully reviewed your application or it could mean there are no available openings for you.

It also serves some better to go on non peak meal times (12-1pm, 5-6 pm). As always, bring your concerns to the park's knowledge at Guest Services. Things won't necessarily improve if they don't hear the problems you are having.

1. I'll never forget riding Scooby Zoom with my dad I think in 1993. 2. That's rough....Diamondback for steel and Beast for wooden. 3. Rivertown.....that portion of the park will always be special to me as it was my former work home. So many things happened in that area for me and it's been crazy to be a part of it. 4. I'd bring back all of the former roller coasters so I could either ride them again or ride them for the first time. I'd also bring back the Antique Cars...I just miss them a ton. 5. Mystic Timbers and visiting the park on my Birthday for the first time during Winterfest.

Cedar Point changes its long-used logo
Creed Bratton replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I guess to me it doesn't matter what the logo looks like. I'm not looking to find Cedar Point by it's logo. If I buy anything at the park it generally doesn't have the logo on it...and if it does, it's a retro logo. -
Trust me though, they're not going to remove maintenance shops for a coaster installation anytime soon, especially since there is land elsewhere for it, whether it's for a station or for track. If they were to remove or relocate those shops (they wouldn't just remove them, they're essential to operation) they'd have to build new facilities before an off-season first before they removed those. They are too essential just to eliminate once construction starts on an attraction that would be built there. Remember, what everyone on KIC claims to want doesn't mean it's going to happen. Compromise is good, but it's not like the park is compromising with any guests to say "hey, we can put a coaster, a flat and maybe some restrooms in X-Base but we've gotta get rid of those maintenance facilities." That would be like saying Planet Snoopy needs a new coaster, the best location we at KIC think would be toward the parking lot behind Surf Dog and Woodstock Express because they don't use a lot of that space for guests. Yet, they've got essential maintenance shops/offices for the day to day operations there. Do I think they should put bathrooms, another attraction and maybe a Giga in X-Base? Sure....but I would not want them to compromise the maintenance facilities just because I think they should put those things there. There is plenty of land to be used where they wouldn't need to compromise the maintenance facilities.

"Man charged with raping 13-year-old at Kings Island"
Creed Bratton replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Kings Island
And added question, if the last incident happened in July....why is the report just now happening? -
It was partially repainted in 2009. It's been a bit, but it could use some more paint again.
-
With your idea, they'd be removing a bunch of maintenance shops....ones that work well. That's specific location isn't likely to happen. Also, the area to the north of Firehawk does become a bit steeper closer to the maintenance road.

I apologize, DB didn't register in my mind and all I saw was webcam.

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?

I believe that is the station Edit- semi-confirmed What doesn't make sense is that the picture above only shows the roof half set at 4:57, but at 4:58 it's all set up in the tweet.
