  1. Great TR! I'm heading down this week and hoping to snag a ride on Lightning Rod. I'm also not sure what to expect with Christmas in the Smokies as I've only seen pictures of the event.
  2. Automated Parking Access Season Passholders with an All Season Long Parking Pass can now get quicker access through the parking tolls. All Passholders that have their vehicle license plate registered with an All Season Long Parking Pass will receive automated gate opening as they approach the Toll Booth. If you haven't registered your license plate, drop by Guest Services or any Sellers Window. https://www.canadaswonderland.com/plan-a-visit/season-pass-benefits I saw a comment on Facebook, what if someone has a pass but drives a different car?
  3. Cedar Point has been that way for years, especially with coasters that have dual stations and you haven't been able to leave cups, bags, etc. in the ride station. As each new ride has been introduced they have not allowed any loose articles in the station. The Gatekeeper/Valravn stations sort of have bins, but those mainly are for loose shoes and/or glasses. I'll continue to use my free FunPix layard!
  4. This has been something I've been trying to get them to do since Winter Chill out in February of this year. It makes me happy that they're exploring the opportunity.
  5. Cannot see your images. Looks like the link is broken.
  6. From what I understand he had to stop posting for a while due to his job. Back to the topic at hand: I need to get to Kentucky Kingdom!! I'm not a fan of Larson Loopers but definitely need to ride Storm Chaser.
  7. Here's a link to a few pictures: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/6839-enchanted-theater-more/
  8. Not that I can think of. I wish they'd utilize it more. I know Cedar Point brought in Carly Rae Jepsen a couple of years ago....it'd be nice if they'd bring some acts in every once in a while not just a weekend of Christian acts.
  9. Those two don't compare though? Surf Dog isn't a coaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Why am I having a hard time picturing the steel and wood trestle they are talking about?
  11. In conversation with Paula from the park. They are looking for more information on this Calypso. It came opened april 9, 1972 at LeSourdsville Park and closed in 2002. It was sold to Fun Spot in Indiana in 2006. Looking for manufacturer and any other information. If you can find some please send it my way and I'll pass it on to Paula. 12. As of my visit in July, those pull-handle showers were no longer in working order. I wish they were....I tried to get doused while Mr. and Mrs. No Chickens laughed at me.
  13. I'd take the cooler logo, but not the coaster. Plus they could have a boomerang at each end of the park! Great bookends.
  14. Maybe that's part of the track work that's coming?
  15. Hillbilly Golf is not gone. They have most of the structures and little scorching on the greens.
  16. Sorry for the double post, but saw this from the Knoxville News Sentinel http://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/local/tennessee/2016/11/29/dollywood-employee-finds-burned-bible-page-after-wildfires/94630820/
  17. More so of reporting on what folks say they are seeing while they are in the middle of insanity, where they cannot think clearly. I watched a local Knoxville channel last night where someone said they were in Park Vista and that the space needle was completely engulfed from what they could see. That couldn't have been further from the truth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Here is what local news is reporting as safe/destroyed: http://www.wbir.com/news/local/gatlinburg-fires-whats-damaged-destroyed-and-intact/357891924 Dollywood still at this time is fine, as is Dreammore Resort. The park will be closed through tomorrow with limited lodging available. My friend has been in the park working on various things including preventative measures should fire come close to the park again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Statement about Dollywood: https://twitter.com/kchirbas/status/803451501335216128
  20. Just heard from my friend that works at the park, there was a small fire near Dollywood's "Depot" which is the train shed/county fair area......fire is under control. Edit: https://www.facebook.com/WVLT8/posts/10154757630244469
  21. I started a thread about this on the off-topic feed...but here's my post from that: Mass evacuations for the Gatlinburg area currently. http://www.knoxnews....dered/94535434/ Reports of several structures on fire, including the Park Vista Hotel. Wind gusts hitting 50-60 mph, throwing embers on a chase starting other fires. My stomach is churning over this. Have a few friends that live in the area, one works for Dollywood.....as of right now, no confirmed fires in or around the park, per Dollywood HR.
  22. I highly doubt that they built the ride on one giant concrete slab too.
  23. Is that with adding it on to your pass when you renew or is that just as is?
