  1. Which makes selling property slightly harder I would assume... Here's a great deal on some land but. You have to keep this giant roller coaster built there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I find the video of the Jazzland/New Orleans more haunting than GL. Mainly because so much of the parks structure is still there so it seems so much more haunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I thought the Meijer would hide most or part of the abandoned park? Plus I mean fences can be put in of course.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It may be a kid coastersish but outside of KI Woodstock Express would be a nice little ride versus a "kiddie" coaster. It's all perspective though ya know Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I think what hurts that location more than anything is the entrance being right in side of the kid side of the park. Even though some of the rides are not kid only rides (Eagle replacements, Surf Coaster, former Reptar ride, and the dark ride, Race for Your Life Charlie Brown). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I won't speak for the building (not even sure nor would want to guess on the structure) but the building has housed and could house again an above average to great dark ride. It has hosted the HB ride, the Smurfs, and Phantom. It hosted Scooby and now Boo. Smurfs was (if I have read correctly) was a very well done redo of the ride with the track (boat) system not changing from the HB ride. It was completely redone (and cut in half) for Phantom and a stage/theater. Phantom was taken out and a good Scooby Ride was put in. Scooby left in a hurry an a half put together Boo ride replaced it and a boo haunt replaced the theater. It's not the ride or the building its the planning and care put into th design of the ride that matters more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I wish they would install some trees but I don't see that happening. Banshee plaza area is nice to look at but miserable on a sunny July day... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Would be surprised if they were trolling fans? Anyone remember the "two things that have been here since the beginning will be removed" with the picture of The Racer? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. http://miami.cbslocal.com/2016/01/25/new-track-going-up-on-hulk-at-universals-islands-of-adventure/ Looks like they are hoping to reopen this summer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. In the pic replied to by Gordon... What stops a nefarious person from throwing something at the riders when they come by. I'm assuming that's a public road... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Be careful what you wish for. An expansion could mean the removal of something. See Carowinds and their water park expansion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Banshee (to me) isn't just another ride. It moved into my top 3 fav coasters at the park (Beast, Banshee, The Bat). I love reading these theories. Some of you have a great imagination and should pursue writing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I never rode it as Tomb Raider but I did as the crypt (I think I did at least but I remember 3 rows and lots of effects and the sliding door so maybe it was as Tomb Raider?). My overall question is why was Kings Dominion able to keep the music/lights/monkeys but KI couldn't? That ride in particular makes me wonder what would have happened if KI and Paramount had a better continuation.... Also the park map showing camp grounds, golf course, and hotel..... So sad about how in a matter of about 15-20 years the park was stripped of the resortness of what it was suppose to be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Of course we want more more more, but in a glass half full mode we are we very lucky as a park to have: a scrambler, Shake Rattle Roll, Monster, An Eagles type ride, the swing ride near FoF, a Merry Go Round, a jr Whip, a few car rides for the kids, and not mention the big flats of DT, WS, and Delirium. I mean what else do we need to fill a gap that's not really offered by what we have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yet if they didn't follow the reasonable accommodations required the ADA.... Not a lawyer just work with a lot of special needs families and help point them in the right direction. Plus what sort of upsets me is the fact they made the special needs person clean bathrooms. Obviously they didn't want him interacting with people like a ticket taker or even a sweeper..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah but don't forget what KI has that not all regional parks can offer. Nice and easy interstate access to not just one but within a 60-90 minute drive you have access to 71, 75, 70, 74, 64, 65... Not to mention that within 2-4 hours of the park you can rack up about a dozen or more "major cities" in the KI area... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Fair enough. To me they look like an unfinished office building. Sort of cold... A wood coaster feels warm and nostalgic while a steel coaster feels cold and adrenaline pumping and space age. I think for me it's the extra steel around the track during some elements and the big boxy floating(or looks like it's floating) track that gives it the unfinished building feel. But honestly if it's a great fun ride who cares how it looks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. These conversions or what have you are not very attractive. It's like they took the worst parts of steel and wood and combined them at least it the looks department. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Man dude you got like a serious axe to grind about CFA. Honestly who cares. CFA is super busy. Probably busier than other restaurants and for a reason. Decent to good food (I like them better than others) done for not an expensive price. There are not many and that helps drive the line. Yes right at lunch or dinner time many places are busy. No one is disputing that fact. But CFA usually have larger lines. Long lines don't be popularity. But seriously most of your posts are purposely troll like and good job you got me to bite and comment on this. But honestly who cares. Relax and if you don't like CFA then good for you. Go eat something near you. Because man oh man. You seem like a super angry person. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. According to the Mayo Clinic MSG is generally safe.... http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/monosodium-glutamate/faq-20058196 Big thing is most fast foods or colas or anything else generally is safe in small doses. But if you eat too much of it then it's bad news Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. Wow msg.... Ugh something else to think about.... And hats a lot for an area in DC but it's all relative. From my house there is a CFA about 5 mins away. The next closest CFA is about 20 mins. On the way to that CFA I'll pass 4 McD 2 BKs 2 Skylines 2 Arby's and 2 Wendy's but only one Taco Bell... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. We can assume CFA is busy because of simple supply and demand. They offer a decent to good product (I like there food personally) depending on who you ask. The stores are separated by a few miles usually at least 25+ minutes. The price is not terrible and service is fast. As opposed to say McD or BK where they are more common in location. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Honestly, the repaving would be nice but newly painted lines and enforcements of the a holes who park in the no parking areas would be better. When they park in the cross lines it makes it harder to pull out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. So you are saying there were animatronics on that ride ..... Haha thanks everyone for the tefresher Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
