  1. Took a page from @Hawaiian Coasters 325 and @Maverick44 and made a Gerstlauer indoor/outdoor concept
  2. Any speculation on what you guys think will be on the billboards throughout the course of the ride?
  3. "Beastmode" was often referenced on KI's Snapchat Also Don doesn't really have a say in the naming of rides
  4. I think flying coasters are awesome and far from gimmicky but that's my opinion
  5. @BoddaH1994 I completely agree with what you're saying, I didn't have a problem with the train ride I was just a little let down in comparison to all the stuff they did around the park. The train ride at the zoo is always a favorite of mine, especially since I got to operate it during the 2015 Festival Lights
  6. You can also see the same train on the trestle due to a camera delay, you can tell its the same train because the other one is parked in the engine house since the railroad used to have open coach tracks.
  7. And Diamondback is almost consistently ranked in the Top 10 Steel Coasters in the World list by the Golden Ticket Awards
  8. The curve was way to tight for those trains to navigate- even with them being narrow gauge. There was a derailment that resulted in one of the engines going through the curve. I believe Crown Metal Products- the company who built the trains and the railroad- advised against such a tight curve but the park added it anyway. They also had to worry about the houses seen in the bottom of the left picture.
  9. I think adding a smaller scale coaster- like a 4d freespin or a spinning coaster wouldn't be bad additions to the park. Both designs have come a long way since their original conception to the point where they're built on much larger scales. Cobra's Curse and Time Traveler look like awesome spinning coasters, same can be said about the S&S free spin clones. I've said it once and I'll say it again- add this!
  10. To be fair, these are all cloned rides, just on a larger scale. Paramount gave us great flats- Cedar Fair gave us great coasters
  11. Paramount- dreamers not the doers. If I'm being honest, when you hire the worst coaster company ever to build the first ever looping hyper wooden coaster you got a problem.
  12. Everything. Unfortunately, trains are transport rides nowadays. The only few parks that operate non-transport steam locomotives that I can think of are Worlds of Fun, Dollywood, and Knott's.
  13. @NewD4y20, you asked us for our thoughts and opinions so please don't bash us just because you don't agree with them. Like what @silver2005 said, 4d coasters are fun rides, though I cannot fully back it up since I've never ridden one yet. The only thing I have against s&s 4d freespins is that they are all clones, which is fine for a chain like Six Flags or even Sea World, but not for Cedar Fair parks.
  14. Ironic isn't it? In all honesty KI would have a pretty full roster after a giga, however... Realistically something from Mack wouldn't be out of the question, especially if its a spinning coaster since the park doesn't have one of those. As to where, if they removed BLSC I wouldn't mind as much but they could also use other areas of the park. I honestly don't see anything from Gerstlauer as their Infinity coasters make arrow loopers somewhat obsolete. I know @chugh43 and I wouldn't mind a 4d free spin but it would have to be on a much larger scale to keep up with KI's attendance.
  15. Hurts don't it? Everyone knows the basic knowledge of the Miami valley railroad- I always try to dig deeper when I do my chapters. Maybe I'll do it but it'll take a while
  16. I refuse to share my knowledge of the Miami Valley Railroad in the Amusement Park Railriad Thread until way later because there's so much information and I know if I'm wrong I'll get called out
  17. Has the train changed this year or is it the same? I haven't had the chance to go yet this year but last year I was a little disappointed that they just did the 12 days of Christmas. I get there's a budget and time schedule the park has to follow but I thought they'd add something similar to the 2005 Winterfest train ride. Does anyone know how the park did the train in the Taft years?
  18. I like to think that Boo Blasters was meant to just be a quick and easy cover for Scooby Doo- a lot of the props that weren't Scooby Doo themed stayed the way they were and other parts were easily replaced. This was a simple concept that was applied to all of the now defunct Scooby Doo rides. I think its up to the park on what they want to do with the ride. With the rate KI is bringing back old favorites- eagles, antiques, Winterfest, The Bat, etc I wouldn't put it past the park to bring back Phantom Theater in some form or another.
  19. Whatever company buys the properties, I'm sure the parks named "Sea World" would get renamed and rebranded in some way.
