Are there theoretically other coasters that could operate during Winterfest? The only one that comes to mind is The Racer, only if they operate one side. I know MT can run in the cold but I don't know if I can say the same for the near 50 year old coaster.

Most haunted park?

This is meant to be a companion thread to "Ideas for Better Thrills", except for the Haunt season. I think altering Boo Blasters for the Halloween Season might prove popular among guests- maybe add some Halloween theming and other props to make it seem like a Haunt attraction. Knotts changes their log flume to a spooky theme every Halloween season and it looks really cool. I always thought the pathway to The Bat would also be a cool scare zone.

I think YK is going to be the first of many that break from the typical dive coaster mold. This one is the closest thing we've seen to an out-and-back layout for a Dive Machine and it is the first to incorporate a vertical loop. Hopefully we'll start to see more Dive machines that take inspiration from traditional looping coasters with more elements, inversions, and such. The 200+ft drop can stay the same, but I'm hoping that we get some tighter elements and less copied layouts in the future.

So can I Giga- its obvious Floorlees- I always felt like flooess coasters were sort of a gimic but almost every park has one or is getting one in some form or another Modern Launched Coaster- Excluding puny BLSC, Kings Island hasn't received a launched coaster in over 20 years. I'd be up for something like Maverick or Helix coming in the future. 90°+ drop- Kings Island doesn't have a single coaster with a 90° drop or higher and that really bugs me. Maverick or Fahrenheit immediately come to mind. Standup- I know they're getting purged like crazy in the industry but there's a lot of GP that still miss King Cobra; perhaps because it was gone too soon for it to be hated. Nevertheless, I'd tolerate and welcome a short stand-up coaster like Georgia Scorcher to the lineup. Other than that I think all holes are filled.

The main difference between B&M Hyper's and B&M gigas are the airtime hills. Most gigas, with exception to Steel Dragon 2000, are low to the ground with maybe one big hill aside from the lift hill. Also gigas, again with exception to Steel Dragon 2000, don't have a mid-course brake run which allows the train to keep a fairly constant speed for the duration of the ride.

I considered the antique cars to be 2018-2019 but maybe you're on to something!

Well a larger show building would be needed to accommodate a dark ride like Phantom Theater. They would have build a show building and add a facade around the front of the original building to mimic the Rivertown/ Phantom Theater architecture. The blue area is roughly 44600 sq/ft if you combine that with your estimate, it would add up to roughly over 53000 sq.ft

I don't think that building is large enough to hold an elaborate dark ride like Phantom Theater without expanding it.

Updating the speculation on the thread What we know: Cedar Fair has added 3 gigas to its parks since 2010 Each giga installed is taller than the last Kings Island is the only major Cedar Fair park without one Kings Island just removed a coaster The last time this happened, a new coaster followed There are construction permits proving that the park is indeed working with B&M in 2019 & 2020 No record regarding height of said coaster There's now nothing occupying the Firehawk area and the old Dinosaurs Alive land The old Lion Country Safari land is still vacant 2020 would be three years since KI got their last coaster Mystic Timbers came three years after Banshee In an interview, Greg Shied said it takes about three years to plan a coaster What we can speculate: The whether the B&M project is really a giga It doesn't indicate a height in the permit so we technically can't say its a giga X-Base is the predicted site The height, length, and speed of the coaster Miscellaneous parts of the ride Color, theme, etc

We've seen multiple Peanuts characters appear like Franklin, Woodstock, and more recently Pig Pen. What other characters do you think should make an appearance? I think we should see Marcie, Violet, Rerun, and Spike.

No, I'm sure Firehawk was 1st on the chopping block for a while and they just decided to remove it to make a better coaster. For example, if Son of Beast was saved, we'd still have gotten a B&M invert somewhere else in the park. Removing Firehawk was never really a loss for the park.

Very true, but times have changed and enthusiasts demand more

They wouldn't remove a coaster then build a new one in a completely different location. Logic Captain.

My speculation for a five year plan starting after 2019. 2020- B&M Giga Fans have wanted and speculated this for years, every other major seasonal Cedar Fair park has a giga, there's documents proving B&M is coming in for a project in 2019-2020. 2021- Off year/ possibly start of 50th anniversary celebration/ Possible Planet Snoopy Attraction After the giga it'll be an off year in terms of rides, however I wouldn't count out a two season celebration of the park's upcoming 50th anniversary like KD did for their 40th I could see something being added to Planet Snoopy since they're last major addition was in 2015 2022- KI's 50th anniversary Could see the return of some old favorite flat rides or attractions across the park Also cosmetic updates on some of the sections that lost their opening day luster like Oktoberfest. Could also see a Racer rehab/ overhaul in honor of its 50 years in service I could also see something happening concerning the Big Ugly Box in Rivertown 2023- Soak City addition of some kind/ Possible coaster construction It would be 7 years since Soak City has gotten a new slide/ water attraction so I think we'll see one in 2023 With the trend of Cedar Fair adding coasters to their bigger parks and it being three years later, I could possibly see construction for a new coaster 2024- New Coaster or major flat of some kind Copperhead Strike came 4 years after Fury 325's debut so I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get another coaster of some kind; with that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get a coaster until maybe 2025. With Cedar Fair working with other companies like Gerstlauer, MACK, and RMC, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw something from them. I could also see a big flat of some capacity coming to the park With the addition of employee dorms, I don't know if priorities are going to shift and we're going to start seeing new rides almost every other season like at Cedar Point & Canada's Wonderland but those are my predictions for the next five years.

I'm trying to get a job in the corporate amusement park industry so I'd be happy to apply if they were ever hiring -
I'd be open to new trains as well as a track repaint. It would be cool if the spine and the rails were both a dark orange to complement the blue supports which would pay homage to FC Cincinnati.
