  1. There is nothing in this that isn't already in place or was in place for the past several years... I have heard a few ride ops call out guests for profanity and said they would call security if they didn't stop. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/code-of-conduct
  2. 3 adults and 6 minors were arrested https://www.yahoo.com/news/police-arrest-several-panic-kentucky-052416461.html
  3. interpret his choice of words....
  4. I would say that an almost 100 year old historic organ, which the world famous auction house Sotheby's claims that no more than 10 are known to exist today of the Wurlitzer Style 157 Band Organ, breaks and is fixed within 4 days is well within an acceptable time period to fix such a rare item and in fact shows the priority the park is placing in this organ! Great to hear it again!
  5. It is simply your opinion is it is unjust.... case law and precedence says otherwise... can the laws change at some point - yes absolutely. But until then, it is a generally accepted legal policy a company can implement. They are a private business and can implement whatever policy they want as long as it is legal. As an example, smoking is allowed outdoors. The parks are outside (except obviously for their indoor parts) and legally they can say no smoking or vaping within the park and that is their legal right and within their right to kick a person out for violating their legal policy. You as a consumer can decide if you disagree with a particular policy and then decide whether or not to patronize the business. If the company sees a decline as a result of said policy, then they will change said policy. Companies are in business to make money. Any legal policy they implement takes into consideration the pros and cons of said policy. If they believe that the overall benefit outweighs the negative, then they will do so. With the current industry trends leaning towards family-friendly parks, that is where the money is, not unruly teens that are causing trouble and aren't spending money in the park. If those same guests turn the magical age of 18 and decide as you say "Screw you, Charlie Brown", well that is probably still an overall benefit for the park because like you said, the age of 18 is just a number, so they would probably continue their poor behavior once turning legal. They want the well-behaved and properly parented children visiting the park and those positive experiences will encourage these said children to visit the park when they are over 18. The unruly teens causing trouble and making a family decide that for their families safety, they will skip the park is not what the park wants. And let's face it, since the parks are now cashless, it is easy for a park to determine if the guests they kicked out spent any money in the park....
  6. The thing is the average person has no idea who the park's spokesperson is (obviously a fan site and enthusiasts know LOL), so if it is going to be titled in the article Kings Island Camp Cedar, shouldn't and wouldn't KI want to control that narrative, especially if they are getting paid to provide that service?
  7. All of Mystic's projections in the shed are working today.
  8. Cake by the Ocean (cross-threading and some may get the reference lol)
  9. ^including within the past 24 hours!
  10. Sorry for the double post, but this should come as no surprise: https://abc7.com/knotts-berry-farm-chaperone-policy-halloween-fright-fest/12131495/?fbclid=IwAR0CRZeefUwpsD1IkfjSoriwPz-uXxsWk6-4RahAzx0N8UqziM2Ov_wcUT0
  11. But more importantly, did his kids find out LOL.
  12. It is what many will say the plan should be, but the language with each revision seems to get more restrictive and more park specific benefits opposed to benefits available at other parks. Let's hope they iron this out and not backpedal on benefits that @BoddaH1994 and others have already received at other parks.
  13. Any kids you know named Beast, Racer, Mystic, Kenny or Lew, don't ask them why they are named that
  14. My friends were excited to check out the 5th item on the list of Pass Details for the new Prestige program
  15. Drop Tower has been down a week.
  16. It got freaky during the Paramount years lol. People thought they were part of an ongoing audition for some MTV reality show
  17. It has been running the past week or so with just the red and blue going and the white train dismantled. It has been down the last couple of days though....
  18. What about this one in KI's very own app LOL
  19. According to Jim, a park employee over on the passholder Facebook page, he says you get two this year and two next year with the Prestige.
  20. Exactly - It seems reasonable that one shouldn't expect these benefits at a park not participating in the Prestige Program, but should expect benefits at a park that does have the Prestige Program... Otherwise there should have been zero references to contact the park you visiting regarding applicable benefits if the only benefit was parking and entry into a visiting park like a platinum pass, along with 15% off purchases.
  21. But they did caveat it with "Prestige + Passholder benefits may vary by park. Contact the park you are planning to visit for any questions regarding applicable benefits." Which I think most would interpret that as you are eligible for any benefits a specific park is offering if they are part of the Prestige Program. If it was only specific to the home park, then this caveat should not have been there AT ALL....
  22. Yeah, we know the "while supplies last" language is coming...or else they will either significantly reduce the number of preferred spaces sold each day (not likely) or they will expand the preferred by a lot and the VIP lounge. I personally know enough people that have purchased Prestige that if they all were at the park the same day, the VIP lounge would be over capacity...
  23. It keeps changing and seems to be getting more restrictive. Didn't some of the original language say it included the VIP lounge at CP and now it doesn't? I know some of the other perks were assumed by the caveat that said contact the park you are visiting to determine their benefits, but I thought the lounge was specifically mentioned. And the backpedaling, if happening, is potentially ticking off some of the most loyal and highest per cap spending guests! I know many that upgraded to Prestige that have every season long add-on and has far exceeded the average per cap number CF announced.
  24. Yes it does.
