The idea of a super tall spinning coaster sounds like a giant nope from me dog. My ability to ride spinning rides is very limited on the speed and kind of spinning performed and spinning roller coasters are just not something I think my equilibrium can handle. And the idea of a really tall and fast one just sounds...gimmicky IMHO. I realize that might sound really amazing for some as a possibility and I'd be happy for ya'll. But I would sit that one out. On another note, the possibility of Ka either getting torn down or revamped doesn't shock me. I would be more upset if they tore it down since I have yet to get a chance to ride it. But if they do make an announcement for its retirement in any capacity, it would make it to the top of my list of coasters to ride as not to miss out on it.

OK first of all, call me a Vekoma-fan boi all you want, but I am STOKED to see a larger scale new age Vekoma make its way state side. Even if it was meant to go somewhere else, I could care less. I LOVE the theming. I've been enjoying the darker-omen type theming and names that Cedar Fair has been going with. Really can't wait to see what merch they come out with for this one. I will say that it does feel just a tad overwhelming that they had TT2 purposed to open this year and it fell incredibly short of that expectation and will essentially still be a brand new ride for next year seeing as only a handful of people in the grand scheme of things were able to ride it this year. It will be interesting to see how they market the coasters next year seeing as they will have essentially TWO new headliners for 2025 so long as TT2 gets it s*** together. The lower capacity will absolutely be a nightmare, lets be real. This isn't a capacity monster by any stretch of the word and CP's ops have been dismal the last few years so I don't hold out any hope that lines will move quickly. I also wonder if FL+ will have its own que or if they will in typical CP fashion with most of their coasters have it bypass 3/4 of the line just to merge with the main standby line. Regardless, there are absolutely no complaints here from me. This looks like a fantastically fun ride with incredible theming and I am here for it. I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning waking up to this announcement! Now this makes me feel like the possibility of a Vekoma looper taking Vortex's plot is more possible. I know this really doesn't indicate anything, but since CF is actively working with Vekoma it makes me hopeful that KI's next big coaster could be one of their incredible new loopers.

The rumor is that they are going to tear down all of the Backlot Stunt Coasters and use their tracks since they held up so well with the water effects so old Premier it is!

I wish they'd bring back the tasting cards. I remember they did it one year and it was awesome because it allowed one to save a little money while also getting to try multiple specialty foods. I like the sound of the offerings this year. I suppose we shall see how they look/taste.

I'd like to know if when the lantern activates at this point if the station lights up too. Only wondering since it appears that there is at least one prop of some gangly creepy body from the Wolf Pack days and since they put up some webbing in there, it would be cool if it lit up and did a howl or something. I guess we will find out this coming weekend what it does.

Joke's on us! Now that SIX is the other half of the company, they are going to pull out a page from the ol'playbook from their SFWoA days and put in TWO major installments in the same year! One in The Vortex plot and one in the SoB station!!! ( hard sarcasm here )

I will say again. This speculation is fun! Nothing is ever a guarantee here, but man this is a good time seeing all of this activity. I think it bears mentioning again that if the old station were truly not usable, 1) Why would it have been left standing all of these years? It is, after all, a 24ish year old structure that has for all intents and purposes been standing without a real purpose for longer than when it housed the rebellious Son. I realize it was used as Wolf Pack for a few seasons but that has been retired some years back due to any number of reasons ( dip in popularity? building needing brought up to code? both? etc ) 2) Why would they be putting all of this recent work into the station if they didn't have something else planned for it? I am in no way saying they are going to absolutely build a coaster for it ( I sure hope so just like everyone else ) but there is definitely something they plan to do with it besides let it sit abandoned for another 24 years. Seems like a lot of effort just to let it sit when they could have easily just torn it down. This wouldn't be the first time in the park's history to re-use an old station of a problematic ride to house something else ie: the orignal Bat/Vortex While I think the concept of the RMC T-Rex is neat, I'm in the camp of wanting to see a ground-up hybrid as I feel that is far more fitting for a Son of Beast reboot.

You can always wear cargo pants if you don't mind that sort of fashion. Or a pair of jeans with deeper pockets. That's one way to avoid the whole bag debacle all together while still retaining your items on your person.

I might also add that at least ONCE a trip I hear someone bring up Son of Beast. I wish I was exaggerating, but I am not. Regardless of opinions of the ride during its time with us, there is still a great deal of interest in it. I for one hold a soft spot for it in my heart since I grew up with Son of Beast and despite how seriously vicious the ride was, I am glad I got to experience it as many times as I did over its existence. Regardless of whether any of these SoB related easter eggs means anything, its still fun to speculate!

I have #20/250 of the track slices from this guy but I would love to have one of the wheels too. I really love that they are playing into the lore of SoB. For someone that grew up with the rebellious son this is really special. And for those who are too young to remember/did not get to attend the park during his tenure, it creates conversation and interest. I look forward to seeing this stuff with my own eyes in a couple of weeks and if any of this leads to something more. I know that it probably won't. Maybe a new Haunt attraction at best, but if this is molecular possibility of a teaser for something more how incredible would that be?

I'm really glad that the deputy caught her before she either hit and killed someone in the parking lot or made it out onto the streets to do the very same.

I first off want to say I made the stupid choice of going to the park yesterday because it was an absolutely beautiful day, I had the day off and honestly I knew anywhere I had the idea to go to would probably be busy and or crowded with people, so I made the choice to go to the park for the last official summer season day. Boy I should have just stayed home. Place was absolutely SLAMMED. Even the Fast Lane lines were long. Longer than I've seen in a hot minute at least. I ended up skipping out on a bunch of rides because having been spoiled by just being able to walk right up to the platform of any ride or just about, I simply did not have the spoons to stand around for long dealing with the gobs of humans in every direction. On that note though, I am making this post for a reason. I want to give a big thanks to all the ride ops for the hard work they put in this summer and for working the massive crowd yesterday as best they could. The 6 rides I did decide to do in the 3 1/2 HRS I was there, ya'll did an excellent job making it work. I also want to give special thanks to the ops for allowing me to have my seat of choice when I politely ask for it and goodness I wish I caught the young man's name at Invertigo yesterday. I was a single rider and the line sep was going to place me in a row I did not want to ride in. After I told him I vastly preferred one of the end facing seats he saved row 1 for me and I was incredibly grateful for that. I not only prefer this seat for the view/ride experience, but with ANY invert, they trigger my motion sickness if I do not ride in the front. Not sure why that is, but if I can see the track and everything directly in front of me I'm perfectly fine. Any other seat just does something negative to me. I will tell any line sep I will wait the extra cycles for the front just so I can ride comfortably. As for traditional sit down/floorless inverting coasters I am perfectly fine to sit in whatever row, but inverts require a front seat ride for me not to feel crappy. Moral of the story, that young man did something that might seem small in the grand scheme of things, but it was huge to me. I love our park and our ride ops. You all have made my visits over the years special. And this season is no exception. I'm sure a lot of you will return for the fall/winter season if school and far travels aren't an issue. Keep up the good work and thanks again for being rock stars. Looking forward to an awesome fall season this year! I hope everyone had an amazing summer season.

Just wishing them the best with getting the modifications made to where TT2 can have a successful season next year and everyone who wants to ride it can get a chance to experience it. I greatly miss the heck out of the OG TTD. I'm old enough to remember the announcement. The excitement and the insane thought of "how the heck is this even possible?!" I was a baby coaster enthusiast in high school during that time and I smile fondly at my formative years remembering such a mind blowing announcement. I have many many memories of this ride's growing pains over the years. Especially the first few years of her operations. Heck. Even into 2010/11 I can remember a lot of down time. Some of the funniest and most wonderful memories at Cedar Point revolve around this ride for me. I just want Zamperla AND CP to have their success next year. I want to experience this new iteration the way they envisioned it. Their success is a win for us as a community.

Now the big question. Will another park pick this one up or will it be scrapped? Mmm...

When I first read the subject line I thought maybe the park had started marketing bottled water themed after The Beast

The world is full of too many predators and the fact that this man so carelessly left his young children unattended is awful. Anyone could have kidnapped these children in the blink of an eye. Not to mention the fact that since they are small children, they may have decided to wander off into restricted areas where they could have been hurt or killed. None of this is good. I agree, I'm glad the man is facing charges. There is literally nothing worth leaving your babies unattended for. I wouldn't even leave my dog unattended like that let alone if I had a kid.

Look. I am always grateful for the new things we get. From flats to slides and everything above and in between. However, I really reallllllyyyy hope that a dive machine ISN'T our next coaster. I don't have anything against them as they do give a fun experience, but I really want to see something special go in The Vortex plot. That land has had two significant slices of coaster history upon it and I would really love to see something amazing there. I've said it a thousand and one times, please please please let it be some kickin' next gen Vekoma looper! It would be something new, fresh and a nod to the past. I'm not against a dive machine elsewhere in the park, I just want to see something different take the stage where Vortex sat. I realize my dream RMC-SoB 2.0 will likely remain just that, a dream. But if anything else were to be miraculously placed where the rebellious son's station still sits ( and I am in no way assuming that the station can still be utilized-a new one could take its place ) a dive machine interacting with Banshee could be cool and it would use up the remaining plot of land that SoB occupied. Just a thought.
