All I'm thinking is "yay more fall rides!!!". I am grateful for every season at the park. Spring is exciting because of the long hiatus off during winter, summer is action packed and full of opportunity to visit both the dry and wet side of the park. Fall is just magical. Crisp, cool air, the feel and the smell of crunchy leaves, the earlier darkness leaving room for lots of night rides, spooky vibes. All of that. I am all for it!!! Not to mention I feel fall rides just hit different. They feel wilder, faster and more out of control which I dig. Winterfest was awesome last year IMHO. I felt for what was lacking during Haunt they made up for during Winterfest. I am hoping for a good Winterfest this year too as it has helped me personally with coping with the holiday season.

Wonder if it will be a dueling type water coaster or it will just be like a figure-8 style layout? Mmm. I guess we will find out in a week. Exciting either way!

This just shows that there is still a need for this ride, or some kind of water attraction. They are still popular on hot days for those on the dry side of the park. I for one am glad they have taken such good care of Congo Falls.

Holy WOWZA! Was this line actually utilizing the switchbacks in the que?! I don't think I have ever seen the line for Congo this long!

I think a Haunt drone show would be neat. They could still do it around 10PM and then proceed with the rest of the night until 12-1 or however late they will keep Haunt going. That way if folks choose to leave after the drone show that gives them sort of an out and for those who choose to stay later, can.

Is Invertigo down for the rest of the season?
DJSkyFoxx replied to FoxyFitzHamilton's topic in Kings Island
If it is indeed a part they are waiting on, I imagine it might be taking a bit longer since Vekoma would probably have to fabricate a new part from start to finish. With the Invertigo model not being a common ride, I have a hard time imagining them having a readily available part on hand to ship out. Just a guess of course. -
A Halloween themed version of this would be rad!

How Much Longer For Boo Blasters On Boo Hill?
DJSkyFoxx replied to kingsislandfan1972's topic in KI Polls
At this point anything would be an upgrade to it. Don't get me wrong, I still get a kick out of riding BB and "trying" to get a higher score than my company, but more often than not the blasters don't work at all or they sparingly work. And it's been a haunted castle theme for 21 years now. I think having a brand new refresh to the ride would be welcomed. It could still be something interactive but just something other than its current long held iteration. -
Is Invertigo down for the rest of the season?

I hope it reopens sooner rather than later. I was joking around saying that maybe they're finally putting comfort collars on it Seriously though, that would be awesome. -
Kings Island 2024 Food Reviews and Discussion
DJSkyFoxx replied to SmartCat7162's topic in Kings Island
Nope. That would simply make it an iced coffee. And that's fine. My only concern would be the initial high temp melting the ice too quickly and watering it down too much. Also cold brew and iced coffee are not the same. Cold brew is where the coffee grounds are steeped in cool/cold water over night or several hours. Usually comes with an upcharge compared to iced coffee since it is usually made in small batches. Less acidic and more caffeine than regular coffee. Richer/bolder taste too. -
Now HERE is a good opportunity to give away some free fudge! Bring in school supplies, get a piece of fudge!

I just wanna see Haunt get some teeth back to it. It has been such a shell of what it used to be (IMO). I still love going if for nothing else to get some foggy night rides in, but I sure as heck miss when the event had some bite to it.

My fiancé' and I got to see the show yesterday as a nice way to end our day of playing at the water park. Really enjoyed it. Lots of great use of light and dark. Great storytelling. Great interaction with the guests, especially the kids. Enjoyed the laser dance a lot! Overall this was a very fun show and I am very grateful the extended it out so we could have a chance to see it. I was impressed to say the least. Just a great time!

The fudge should just be a given if you visit X amount of times but hey

Well this is sad to hear. I almost popped in last evening after work and forewent that due to simply not being up to contending with heat and lots of humans after an already stressful day. I would have been asking the same thing if I saw this. I really hope Invertigo sticks around awhile longer. We would be losing another looper and another coaster in general. And it really is one of the more intense rides in the park which I am a fan of. I always try to get at least one ride in per visit since I know it's time is ticking. It'll be interesting to see what happens in that area of the park while it's gated off.

I just hope the food offerings taste better than they did last year. Most of the food was pretty bland/cold and that was disappointing. There were maybe 2/6 items we had that were decent, but the rest were met with file 13. This menu sounds tempting, but I guess we shall see.

Snoopy's Soap Box Racers & Camp Snoopy Reviews

Imagine them going really cheap and turning the building into an indoor inflatable park. The smell of feet would be the scariest part!

I actually noticed a little bit of that myself on my last ride and I thought "I either have to be just a littttttttle dehydrated due to the heat OR this thing is really broken in nicely enough now to really get the full force of it". It could have been a little combination of both, but either way, still amazed at how Vekoma was able to make such a well-rounded family coaster that everyone of varying thrill levels can enjoy. -
I've been hearing about this, but haven't personally experienced it on any of my visits thus far. Hopefully whatever is going on with it isn't anything that will have it removed any time soon. I know I am in the minority here, but I actually like it. It's also the only Vekoma Invertigo model operating in the states. If it gets kept around for awhile longer I would love to see it get updated shoulder harnesses. That would really make a huge difference in the ride experience. Granted I have it figured out how to ride it, I would not argue having a more comfortable restraint system. I would argue to say this is one of the more intense coasters in the park.

Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge
DJSkyFoxx replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
The sad thing is that there are people who still don't fully grasp the current pass structure let alone if there are more options added to a future offering portfolio -
A random and fun tidbit for all of you. If you get on Google Maps and place yourself in the Kings Island parking lot, you will be placed back in August of 2011!!! You will see Son of Beast, Invertigo and Delirium's old paint scheme, When you click around the parking lot you'll get some neat action shots of the rides and just the overall vibe of that time. Just figured I would share this. I kinda love that this is frozen in time.

This was kind of a tough one for me personally as I love them both for different reasons. Millie only gets the edge from me because that view from the front seat over the lake and the overall insanely fun sense of speed is felt more (to me) and I am incredibly nostalgic for the station music ( I actually have it set as my ringtone ) and the overall energy of the ride gets me hype. Orion is a great coaster that I enjoy riding a lot. The first drop feels stronger but Millie's speed feels more maintained than Orion's. Orion, IMO, has the better ops and capacity so it is far less stressful to manage in terms of getting the preferred seating for it. That has been really my biggest gripe about Millie. The way FL is set up. I remember the original access to the station was through the door facing the lift hill. As someone who primarily rides the front/back seat of coasters for the maximum thrill factor, Orion is great in the front and the back. Millie-TO ME-is best in the front as I have tried the very back and have ridden other seats the very front is the only place I truly enjoy riding it. Again-personal preference. I will wait the extra time for the front since that is my absolute favorite choice place to sit. I find both seating styles comfortable. The reclined clamshell design found on B&M hyper/gigas is always an enjoyable experience while I find Millie's seats comfortable in a different way. They are more rigid, but I enjoy the T-bar restraint giving a more open-air cockpit feeling. I find that adds to the sensation of speed and freedom while riding in the front. Overall, they are both great rides and I enjoy them both for different reasons, but Millie still just has that something extra that while being a little more frustrating to ride in terms of ops, is worth it for the incredible ride she gives.

Permits for A Soak City Addition and Improvements coming in 2025
DJSkyFoxx replied to DiamondbackFan's topic in Kings Island
A water coaster would be a welcomed addition! Kinda seems fitting too since the neighboring Great Wolf Lodge got rid of theirs. Hoping for Fast Lane option since I know for a fact this thing will undoubtedly have long waits.
