  1. The park hates us to the point that they thought it would be funny to let all the wind in.
  2. The season long dining plan has returned to Six Flags. As far CF goes, specifically Kings Island the food portions and quality is fine, generally speaking. However Kings Island offerings of entrees are of the cheaper meats than the other parks I have visited in the Chain. CP, KD, and Carowinds offered more premium proteins than Kings Island. I agree with you tho, as cheap as the passes are. I’d be willing to spend more in order to get a more premium experience.
  3. I’d love to see a massive log flume in Vortex’s spot. Mainly so I can be the first to make a POV and tell everyone: ”We’re on a log flume!!”
  4. The point of doing that is to entice you to spend more money by buying the meal plan. For example, when I took the lady friend to CP they wanted $104 for a single day ticket. BUT for 25ish more dollars I could’ve bought her a gold pass out right and had unlimited visits to CP. No I didn’t pay $104 since I purchased the ticket online with a bring a friend discount. But you get the idea.
  5. Welcome to KIC!
  6. I’ll sleep well tonight knowing my conscious is clear. Especially now that we get to see what he actually was responsible for.
  7. Only if I get the twitter password.
  8. I wonder if @Kyle Kruthoffer will return to Kings Island.
  9. Not a new coaster but I’m curious where they could fit this in the parking lot.
  10. My biggest gripe for 2023 season was the lack of preparedness and the park not having things ready on time: -Diamondback’s paint wasn’t finished for opening day. -None of the 2023 ride additions were ready for opening day. -VIP lounge not ready for opening day. -The fog machines were not ready for opening weekend of haunt. You get the idea. Visits for 2023 (as of today) Kings Island: 27 Cedar Point: 7 Carowinds: 2 Kings Dominon: 1 Michigan’s Adventure: 1 Busch Gardens Williamsburg: 2 Busch Gardens Tampa: 1 Seaworld Orlando: 1 Stricker’s Grove: 1 All season Dining Plan redemptions: 72 All in all 2023 was a great year! I’m already looking forward to 2024!
  11. I’ve moved this discussion to its own thread since it doesn’t deal with ranting about Haunt.
  12. Regional is very subjective. But ask yourself how many “regional” parks own 6 hotel / resorts and a sports complex? If CP was a “regional” park they would not be so keen on smashing multiple world records with their coaster additions, they would just build something like Orion. However they have to, in order to fill those hotel rooms. (The cash cows.)
  13. I think Regional is on a much smaller scale than bordering states. For example CP is not pulling 3.5m visitors from the Sandusky “region”, unlike Kings Island which pulls a majority of its guest from the Cincinnati “region.” The amount of people who visit the park doesn’t matter much either. For example Disney has much higher attendance numbers, but if you scale it down to CP’s attendance levels you can see similarities in their model. They both offer multiple hotels and resorts at different price points and theming. They both also have their own respective sports complex. You’re not making such investments in hotels and sports complexes if guest are going to hop in their car and drive home an hour away. Like what the majority of guest in regional parks do. CP is world renowned for its record breaking coasters. It’s how they have become a destination. That is why every non kiddie coaster addition at CP has been a record breaker. They have to in order to drawl the out of town people in who make up majority of their guests. With hopes you book your stay at one of their hotels, which in my opinion is the real cash cow.
  14. Cedar Point is not a regional park.
  15. For those who like to complain about what they get for haunt. I’d say be careful what you ask for. I get wanting a better experience, however money also doesn’t grow on trees.
  16. Obviously whoever made that post for Kings Island, didn’t watch the playoffs last year. Jabroni!
  17. Welcome to KIC!
  18. Not only did they forget to put Crema on @Benjamin22 La Larona fries. To add insult to injury they’re playing patriotic music during a Halloween event. Wow, good going KI Comms!
  19. They’re trying to figure out which white shoe matches the one in the leaked KD coaster photo.
  20. I’m still holding out on green Intamin track.
  21. Last night was an improvement from the week before. The delivery of fog juice must have just came in this week. The park had nice blanket of it for most of the night, including some coasters. Due to peer pressure, I finished the night watching the laser show on international street at midnight. It was a great show for the most part, I didn’t get to watch it all because of the roomers that interrupted me a few times.
  22. Considering a gold pass is roughly $120 a year. You’re already getting a lot of value for what you are paying for. If anything they should increase the price of passes.
  23. Not KI related but it’s midnight and I’m perplexed with the idea of: Are the oceans surrounded by land or is the land surrounded by the oceans?
  24. Due to budget cuts, the park has announced that Snoopy’s Soapbox Racers will only operate with one train for the 2024 season.
