  1. Yea the edges are to clean and neat to be jsut melting would be more uneven then. STill don't necessarily think it means anything though.
  2. I've only been on a handful of B&M Inverts but my top 3 woudl probably be: 1 - Banshee 2 - DC - Chinese Fireball 3 - DC - Hungarian Horntail The only other one I've been on is Raptor and while it's fun it's also pretty rough. Finally get to ride Montu later this year and see where it lands on the list
  3. I’ve only ridden King Cobra and Mantis for stand ups. Loved King Cobra (aside from the time I got stuck on the lift hill riding it), but Mantis I couldn’t wait to get off. The first portion of it was great but the forces from the second half were not comfortable for my legs.
  4. I don’t see any issue with a group using the single rider line. They aren’t cutting the main line they are just choosing to ride separately instead of together to try to get on sooner. The line isn’t made for only single individuals by themselves to get into but to provide a line of people to fill single vacant seats to have trains at full capacity. So you can hop in the regular line as a group and ride together or hop in single rider and have a chance at a shorter wait and ride with a stranger. They aren’t doing anything against the rules by using that option.
  5. Yea that’d be a good one as well for a big thrill coasterbthat can fit in a compact space. Plus can give it more cars if needed to up capacity too. Like 4 or 5 to get 16-20 per trains which wouldn’t be too bad. Be higher capacity than BLSC or Invertigo
  6. Agreed. I rode an S&S Screamin' Swing for the first time last weekend and it was a lot of fun. Very thrilling but something the whole family can enjoy at the same time. Think it would go great in that space between FoF and Racer. Think that is the best area for a small expansion right now as it would require the least amount of work. Could add in some restrooms In that area as well and maybe a food stand. It would be pretty easy to theme it to a test flight theme to fit the area as well.
  7. Looks great. Will be heading here Saturday for the first time and can’t wait.
  8. I believe the shot glass was from the skeleton key room at Delta Delta Die. Remember going through it and the skeleton key room had us blind folded and given a shot of something to drink. Don’t recall what the shot glass was but it could have been it.
  9. Would love to see them put something new in there and theme it to a mineshaft. Makes perfect sense for the area and would fit in well.
  10. Could make a good addition to Animal Kingdom with the Tarzan theme or just a general jungle theme. Maybe could be a new e-ticket for an Amazon section in a South America land. Can easily see a Spider-Man themed ride go into the other parks with it. Looks like it would be a fun ride.
  11. YEa Cut Throat Cove was where Diamondback's entry plaza is now. Though it did relocate to the Biergarten for a little bit beofre retiring. And I do really miss those buildings and theming around Diamondback's plaza, but do think it loosk good still with the station and gift shop, jsut wish Red's had a more WEstern-esque exterior to fit in with the other stuff more. As for Swan Lake, while it is more dynamic with the splashdowna nd not as calming I don't feel that the overall view has changed a ton. The biggest difference is jsut the lack of more larger trees on the edge of the bank nearer Diamondback's queue
  12. I don't think capactiy is too bad for a flat ride with this. Looks like it coudl hold about 32 people. Surf Dog, Woodstock Gliders, Scrambler, Monster, etc. all don't have that many seats. So woudl jsut depend on how long the ride cycle was but could make it similar to Surf Dog. Plus it looks liek it woudl be an impressive looking ride with a small foot print. That said there are many other flat rides I'd rather see instead of this though as well.
  13. I think with the barrel theme of the ride it woudl be a great addition to Oktoberfest. Be like a suped up Der Spinning Keggers.
  14. Yea I'm actually more surprised about those being closed than FoF. At first was kind of surprised FoF was closed but figured that with it closed they can block off that entire area and as others mentioned dealing with the loose articles could be a pain with all the additional jackets and things people will have. But sinc emost of Planet Snoopy is open surprised that those two aren't open as they are good fmaily level rides (especailly Surf Dog) and be rides that all ages could enjoy.
  15. It looks like Scream is the tallest structure but Drop Zone is the tallest actual drop. As other mentioned Scream has a huge antenna on top that Heide Park counts in the height calculation. However, their website says it has a drop of 71 meters which would be about 233 feet, as compared to Kings Island's 264 feet, so KI's drop segment is substantially longer.
  16. I think Peanuts is a good one too as it is a classic IP that is still at least mildly relevant as specials are still aired throughout the year for holidays and comics in papers. They might not have the biggest name recognition for kids but they can still enjoy them. however other IPs like when it was Nick Central have a time limit on them before they are forgotten and need replaced. So if they latched on and used the current popular characters it would likely have to be changed and returned regularly to keep up. Peanuts does not require that and I can't really think of many, if any, IPs like that which aren't already used by other parks (like Disney and Universal's franchises or DC Comics at Six Flags)
  17. I would love to see RMC build a hybrid coaster at KI sometime. Meant to say ground up though as our woodies are all classics or brand new so wouldn't want them to alter any of the current.
  18. Yea with jsut having gotten MT and an RMC opening at Cedar Point next year not expecting one for awhile. The one other type I think woudl be good would be an infinity type coaster, but would need to be like Smiler with the multi row trains to hold 16+ people. Otherwise I thinkt eh capactiy woudl be way too low for at KI. Can get nice compact layouts too so it could go in about anywhere or be more spread out.
  19. For me personally what I'd like to see is a multi launch coaster similar to Blue Fire or Maverick. Think that'd be a lot of fun and a bit different from what we have. A custom RMC hybrid and a giga round out my top three coaster additions for the park.
  20. Yea Hank;s is the biggest thing I'd liekt o see changed. Moved the burritos to another section of the park as they are decent but don't fit in the Oktoberfest area. I'd be mixed on AE retheme as the caoster is great and I like what is there (but could use a renovation) but if they wanted to improve the theming and make it fit in better to teh area with a Black Forest theme coudl be really cool as well and help out theming in that section. I would put a flat in the area between AE entrance and the Coke MArketplace. Take out the ladder game and put in a small flat that fits (like Der Spinning Kegggers being brought back). The area between AE, Racer, and FoF I would use as an expansion for X-Base though as it could use it a lot too. Plus it wouldn't not require a lot of trees next to AE be removed.
  21. They didn't specifically state April/May but had said that they would make their 2018 announcements in spring 2017.
  22. Wonder if they will add any sort of scare zone through Rivertown to tie into the backstory o Mystic Timbers. They seem to be trying to stretch that storyine throughout the area with teh addition of some of the vines added to The Beast queue and the vine tunnels they put in for WWC queue.
  23. THis is what I could see more liekly for a tiered system. Have the unlimited regular and plus that they currenty offer, then a slightly cheaper one that allows you one skip per ride or something, maybe even only on the major rides too liek coasters and thrill rides. Could have a punch card like the Skeleton Key passes or jsut a spot to mark off on the band for each ride it's good for. Like have logos for all the major rides around the band and worker at teh Fast Lane gate jsut uses a sharpie and crosses off that ride. Would be really easy to implement and offer a third tier. Again though it jsut comes down to how much will it impact the lines as a whole. If you make it cheap enough that tons of people buy it, then despite only getting one skip per ride it can still cause a large increase in teh Fast Lane line that will greatly slow down the stand by line, as well as increase the wait for FL too, making peopelt hat paid more for the regular options be upset about still having a bit of a wait even though they paid a high preium to skip waits. But if you make it too close in cost to the regular Fast Lane then it will liekly not be worth it as why not pay $10-$15 more and get to skip as offten as you want. I'm sure some families that are on a tight budget woudl still opt for it when they coudln't afford to shell out an additional $60 for 4 FL passes, but i'd say most guests woudl jstu opt to pay the small additional fee for an unlimited option. So there woudl be a very fine line of feasibility for it.
  24. Would love to see the return of antique cars to KI as well adn think they'd fit in really well around the Tower Gardens area. Can keep that nicely landscaped feel around teh base of the tower but add some more activity into the area again. And of course fits in well with Coney Mall too so fits themeing for both areas it would intersect. Felt Tower Gardens was too small but if they did remove teh Attitudes building and used that whole around there with Tower Gardens and wrap around the side of the carousel that woudl give them pletny of room for a path. Would be about equal, maybe even a little bigger, then the old paths. The overall area is smaller but since there was two tracks it was kind of cut in half.
  25. YEa I was really bummed that Skeleton Crew didn't stay at KI for more than the one year. Love the Cirque-style shows as well and gives something a little different. Everything else at the parks seems to be more music based outside of those.
