  1. I like to think I'm pretty observant but your lists make me question that. This is really cool, and I never noticed quite a few of them!
  2. I have the disposable cup plan, and I have been exceedingly happy with it, haven't had any problems that have actually kept me from getting a drink. Really my only complaint, and it is minor, is that so many of the Freestyle machines are only accessible through waiting in a food line (or completely inaccessible like the two in Jukebox Diner that are on the side that is almost never open- would love to see that turned into a drinks only line). One day I went through the quick drinks line in the Festhaus, went out and drank my drink, threw out my cup, had a ride, wandered around awhile. Came back like 45 minutes later to get another, and the young woman apparently recognized me from earlier (the pigtails make me distinctive I guess). "Did you throw away your cup? You're supposed to keep your cup to get a refill." She still gave me a new cup, so I didn't worry too much about it, just made sure to get my next drink at a different location I'm sure she eventually figured it out.
  3. The parking gates don't open until 9 AM so there's not much advantage in getting there any earlier than that.
  4. ^welcome to KIC! I think there is a discount if you buy multiple (and possibly certain dates are more expensive or cheaper?) but online price for today is $63 for regular and $78 for plus.
  5. ^that's what I've heard from people who should know, too. They'll probably do some promotions and celebrations, but their investments and planning are unlikely to be affected by an anniversary.
  6. Yeah, I went to the exact same menu as my friend who was trying to prove to me the wait times weren't missing and I was just stupid. He couldn't find them in my app either. Didn't matter what menu.
  7. The rumor I heard was true and Charlotte's and Nicolas's last Hand2Hand performances here were on Tuesday. Today a new act joins the show:
  8. I was able to get the pulled pork and corn pudding with my dining plan today. Both are tasty, on par with City BBQ.
  9. ^^ I think wait times work on Android but not iPhone. At least that's what it seemed between a friend and I when we were discussing the missing wait times.
  10. If anyone is interested, the sign saying pulled pork and wings are included as dining options was up just now. Hope it doesn't disappear around 3 when it's time for my next meal
  11. Good find! So, yes, Ritournelle is the one they were using during Nicolas and Charlotte's Hand2Hand act
  12. So I did a little Shazam-ing during the shows to try and track down some of the new music. The new music that plays before the show begins is Sky Sounds by Marcus Warner The music during the pins/blocks act is Young Man's Theme by Konstantinos Raptis It says one of the things I checked was Ritournelle by Ella Louise Allaire, but I am unable to find a recording to listen to that will allow me to confirm. I believe it is correct, because she has composed music for Cirque du Soleil, and wrote another piece that returned from last year: Valse des Marionettes, the song from the lamppost act. Also returning is Ask a Muppet, during the ukulele transition bits
  13. The transfer track is on the right in the first building you enter after the message errors and warps and tells you to "go in the shed, go in the shed". There is a low wall that hides it from view. The wall was only half finished on Media Day and you could see the orange train was being stored there at that time.
  14. Are you kidding? That was Charlotte and Nicolas? My first thought was it was her (ultimately discounted it because I didn't remember her being so tiny), but I thought the guy was the one from later in the season. This makes a lot more sense! Thanks!
  15. Well I got to see the preview last night and I must say I was very impressed with the performances! There are many things that are the same, but also some major differences. While the actual acts were fantastic, there seemed to be a bit of awkwardness and confusion to the /transitions/ within the show. It makes me wonder if something was changed last minute. It reminded me of when, in the past, the show needed to be changed because a cast member had been injured or was out of town. I think it is possible an act was removed, because there were moments that seemed to be filler, and the show ended a bit early. I am curious to see if things change next week. Now onto details, so I am going to put the rest behind spoiler tags All in all, this is shaping up to be another great show with a skilled cast! I know there was some criticism that last year's show was perhaps not as mind-blowing in the actual acts as Cirque Imagine had been, focusing more on the humor and personalities of the performers. This year's show without a doubt delivers on both personality and awesome skilled performances!
  16. Holovis posted a little video about the Shed today https://www.youtube.com/embed/-Kw5hQAiLE0 I noticed there seems to be a little KIC party going on behind Don Helbig when he's speaking in the video
  17. Once the fountains are turned off, it is THE place for geese to sleep apparently
  18. From what I've noticed: the overhead hanging lights swing, the lockers on the right slide away from the wall, saw blades and other various items bounce out from the front wall.
  19. Unless you're talking about something other than I think, that's a Haunt decoration that pre-dates the Mystic Timbers announcement by at least a couple years. It will probably be back this Haunt.
  20. Congratulations on your weight loss so far! How anyone fits into restraints (or doesn't) depends a lot on that particular restraint and how the person carries their weight. Many rides have a test seat, and ones that don't, you can go up the exit and ask to test before you wait in line. If you do happen to try a ride and aren't able to, don't take it personally! It isn't an assessment of your character, and nobody else is really paying that much attention (although I imagine it can feel like you're on display with everyone judging, they really aren't).
  21. I don't know what the first half hour was like tonight (I sat and listened to Off the Charts rehearsal), but I got two rides in the last half hour. The line wasn't too long and moved fast.
  22. Welcome to KIC, @kimv1972! If you were still working at KI in '78, I have the employee yearbook from that year!
  23. So apparently there was a food fight (I believe among non-Coasterstock attendees) in the Festhaus last night sometime between 9 and 10. I missed it because I wandered out to look for change in Action Zone while we waited for the storm to start. I think I may have seen the beginning on my way out, because there was some arguing going on near the doors. And I saw part of the aftermath when I came back in - I noticed there was a significant security presence, but nothing still going on. Later I saw some posts in the Coasterstock Facebook group mentioning a food fight. Anyway, this morning I saw a pic someone had posted of the "aftermath" which appeared to be a piece of orange chicken stuck to a wall. But now I can't for the life of me find it again! Does anyone have any idea where I can find it, or have observations of your own about what happened?
  24. ^ I've seen a similar problem, as early as opening weekend. The side screens were off. I've also experienced only one side screen being off more recently. And another time, the front image didn't change after the creatures moved along the side.
  25. I'm not happy about the storm chances but it hopefully will keep crowds down. I do wish they were only calling for rain. I know from previous experience Coasterstock can still be a lot of fun in the rain!
