  1. That would be nice, have they ever done this before? I don’t remember them doing this.
  2. That's kind of shocking to think we were close to losing the fireworks show, since it's been around forever. To save it if they had to, I'd even be okay with there being no drones during the show, if it means keeping the fireworks going.
  3. Hopefully they can get it working this year, along with the fountains in the ponds of Kings Mills Antique Autos, I noticed they weren't there (or weren't working), it's a beautiful attraction, and the trees are starting to get bigger now, so we can enjoy that as well, while on the ride.
  4. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, since it’s not too clear on when it’ll open. Tropical Plunge opened on time, so judging visually on where they are at this point in time with RiverRacers to Tropical Plunge, I’m guessing they’ll be done on time, I hope so.
  5. I believe it is because little children were getting in, without being supervised by their parents. On the RiverRacers and Splash River Junction page, it says they will be ready for their debut’s in Summer 2025, so looks like an opening in June for both, missing the Opening Day for Soak City. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/soak-city/water-slides-experiences/riverracers https://www.visitkingsisland.com/soak-city/water-slides-experiences/splash-river-junction
  6. Well, here we are 2 years later and we're getting a Soak City expansion for 2025. I made this for another future expansion, here is the details. 1. Black area is where the most likely they could expand. 2. Orange is for the new road. 3. Light Blue is for new parking spots. 4. Yellow is where the fort and house is, plus the train tracks I doubt this will happen, but this is land that they could use.
  7. Glad to see both Grand Carnivale and the Food & Wine Festival returning, hopefully they get the word out more about it this year. Also, we can see WinterFest is on the table so that's great to see!
  8. That would be a good spot but those power lines are right above so I don’t see it going there.
  9. Looks like the International Street webcam is down now, so I bet they’re starting work on the outdoor patio area for the Kings Island Trading Company soon.
  10. When you keep watching Kings Island YouTube videos from the past! Come on April!
  11. New update today, parts of the water coaster have arrived!
  12. That would open up more space for a new coaster in Area 72, which would be nice, but I still think Action Zone is the area that mostly needs a new coaster, one that goes over the entrance plaza like Leviathan does at Canada's Wonderland, or at least can get closer to it.
  13. Looks like on the webcam for Planet Snoopy/Camp Snoopy, we have work being done on the concrete in front of the Snoopy Boutique building, maybe for new concrete or pavers even? They are definitely busy this off season!
  14. I doubt the park is going to cancel our WinterFest, it’s been a very popular event ever since it came back in 2017, and they’ve been adding to it, making it better. My guess is with the cuts in labor this year, maybe it just became too much and they had to cut something else so this is what they had to cut. Hopefully someday they can bring it back. Edit: looks like Carowinds is keeping theirs, so that’s a good sign ours is staying.
  15. Nice construction blog from the park! Hopefully we can see the Island Smokehouse get some new paint soon.
  16. Okay after looking at Google map and Exhibit A, it looks like it's for the Soak City expansion to make more room.
  17. That would be nice and allow Soak City more room to expand.
  18. Yeah I was going to say, if Carowinds announces next season that they're closing Nighthawk and to get your last rides in while you can, we won't have much to worry about here, but since they went the SFGADV route, we better get our rides in on The Bat next season, anything is possible, I wouldn't think KI would do that, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
  19. You guys are on top of it! Now will it go in Rivertown, Coney Mall, Action Zone? Hmm
  20. So adding more operating days, then the next is Planet Snoopy/Camp Snoopy and then Soak City. Has the park ever opened any earlier than what they do now?
  21. With the new expansion for Soak City in 2025, I am wondering what else the water park needs to add, another water coaster is an idea I've have read. Here is the area I think the park can expand Soak City to next, hopefully within another 4 - 5 years.
  22. Where is this at in Coney Mall? Edit, read the other few above posts, near Jukebox Diner, interesting!
  23. Looking at the webcams and I just noticed that there seems to be umbrellas now where the tables is in front of Pigpens Mess Hall, glad to see the park was on it! Is anyone there today to take some pictures?
  24. What it looks like in brenthodge's 2nd picture is a couple new tree's they did plant for Camp Snoopy, and I went through the KICentral last 2 videos of the area, and they are indeed new trees! So, I am happy to see this!
