  1. After 7 years of this being announced and being canceled, it's interesting to see what would have happened if it was built, my guess is it would have helped Ohio turn into a bigger tourists destination, and would give visitors to the state another park to visit, so it would give the state 3 parks, this being more of an Entertainment Park like they were aiming for, setting itself different than KI and CP. The Delaware County area is really booming, with Polaris there and this would have attracted even more people. What could have been, any other thoughts?
  2. The Golden Tickets 2025 was just announced and Six Flags took home 3 Golden Tickets. Kings Island had a good showing, the Kids Area went back up to #2, RiverRacers took the #2 spot for Best Water Ride and the park came in at #5 for Best Guests Experience. Here is a couple links. Six Flags Entertainment Corporation - Six Flags Parks Win Three Golden Ticket Awards for 2025 2025 GTA Winners – The Golden Ticket Awards | Presented by Amusement Today
  3. So glad they kept Snoopy! I didn’t think it was very likely they were going to get rid of Peanuts after they just added to their kids areas of the CF legacy parks in the last 2-3 years. I can see them renewing the license with Peanuts after 2030 also, the kids area at KI is well known and I doubt they’ll want to mess that up adding Looney Tunes.
  4. The park is wasting no time; just saw they have some WinterFest lights already up in Planet Snoopy and Rivertown!
  5. Maybe we could see the Peanuts dark ride that was asked in the season pass questionnaire a year or so ago, and then the new Phantom Theater ride go in the Cyrpt building. Haven’t really seen many people talk about that possibility, that would give Planet Snoopy another ride/attraction if they went that route. Just a few more days now to see what they have planned!
  6. So what’s everyone thinking now, we’re in the middle of August and it’s still not open. Just needing a part or is it done?
  7. Pretty early to be asking this question in just the first year, if it was a Cedar Fair or Paramount question, I'd say Cedar Fair by a mile.
  8. Same here, can't wait to see what they choose to do with it! RIP Boo Blasters.
  9. Yeah I saw them taking down the Grand Carnivale sign earlier in the morning at 7:40, and putting up the Kings Island one. Here’s the pic.
  10. Looks like they're doing a practice run for Grand Carnivale right now on the webcams if anyone else wants to watch.
  11. Do you think the reason they went small was to save the money for all the other updates that Soak City needed this year? The park did send out a survey last year after the announcement asking guests what else they would like added or changed to Soak City in the future, so I can see them going back to this area in a few years.
  12. Here is an updated version of my Soak City future expansion. 1. Yellow expansion area. 2. Light blue is where the new adult swim up bar will go. 3. Purple a new flowrider or something else small will go here. 4. Orange is for new parking. 5. Lime is for another Soak City entrance.
  13. Its next to Blackbeard's Revenge. Just watched a few videos of Carolina Harbor's opening day 2025, and I must say Carolina Harbor Shore Club looks really nice, hopefully the park is thinking about bringing this to Kings Island Soak City.
  14. I guess it's alright, but what is it for, I thought it was going to be used for the Food & Wine Festival. The closest restaurant is Coney BBQ and that already has seating and the patio with shade is behind Scrambler, so that's close by as well. They took out some green space to add this, when they could have planted more flowers and greenery, would have added to the area's feel and look. I’ll wait till I visit in person to really decide how I feel about it, just saw some pictures and video of some of it on Facebook.
  15. Removing Surf Dog would free up a lot of room, they could add a Snoopy's River Raft Blast like you said and add a Peanuts Pirates ride like Carowinds also has, families really love it there. This would add 2 new rides to Camp Snoopy, and 2 extra rides like Peanuts Off-Road Rally and Snoopy's Junction. A kids area expansion like this would help KI bring back the Best Kids area in the world award.
  16. Oh yes, adding a flat ride to that area that would be perfect as well! The more to do and see on International Street, then the more money the park makes, I'm sure. From the map it looks like there is plenty of room for the new buildings, while keeping the trees next to International Showplace, and that area would be nice to sit back and enjoy the view of the Eiffel Tower, and it would be great during the fireworks show as well. I don't know about a restaurant as large as the Brewhouse, that would take up a lot of the space for that area.
  17. I was thinking with the new Food and Wine Festival area going in over near the Grand Carousel, it would be nice to see Intenational Street get some updates again, making it an even more grand area than it already is. This idea shows that the area behind the Eiffel Tower on the left that's empty can be used for 2 new International Street buildings, they would represent either Poland, Sweden or the UK. Kings Island would also update the path under and around the Eiffel Tower with new pavers, getting rid of the blacktop. I'm sure they already have plans for the next few years, so this could be done for the parks 60th anniversary in 2032, if it is too big a project to do in one year, they could do one for the 2031 season, and the other in 2032. 1. Yellow shows the new area for the buildings to be built. One of them can be a new restaurant, the other can be a new gift shop. 2. Purple shows the new Food and Wine Festival area that is being worked on now.
  18. Anyone think Kings Island will get Ragin’ Cajun? The Xtreme Skyflyer spot would fit it perfectly.
  19. I think it could be the family thrill addition they were teasing about last year, I'm guessing a coaster, but we'll see, we have plenty of time still to see if they're going to continue working on this area,, if they do that is a sign for something to come here in 2026, and seeing a flag is already in place, it's pointing to it.
  20. Anyone there can you confirm that the fountain's in the Kings Mills Antique Autos ponds is back? It looks like it from the webcams but can't confirm it.
  21. Looking at the webcams now, they are still working on the KI Trading Company, probably just putting the finishing touches on it. The park looks so nice with the lights, after not seeing them on for months now. Tomorrow's Pass Holder Preview Day, I hope whoever goes has a great time!
  22. The International Street webcam is now on again.
  23. They turned on the Orion LED light last night, 5 more days till pass holder preview day, and 6 more for opening day, we’re almost there!
  24. The one thing we can see for certain is that there are parts of the Monster still laying around where the ride is located on the webcam, if they decided to retire it, then I would think those parts would be taken out by now, and they haven't been. It's also still listed on their ride lineup, so I bet it's still going to be around, hopefully for a long time!
