Looks like a truck is backing up right now, with what looks like another piece of the coaster or supports. Here's a new pic. -

Looks like there's a crane out there right now, could we see the first part of the track go up today? -
Holiday World - New for 2024
Imperial79 replied to Orion-XL200's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Maybe one of the reasons KI waited in starting was because of the last few months the park is open for WinterFest. Could we imagine how upset guests would be, if half of Planet Snoopy wasn’t open for it? Woodstock Gliders and Linus Launcher needing repainted, and possibly Snoopy Boutique being closed for the new restaurant. I would take opening Camp Snoopy around Memorial Day, before closing half of Planet Snoopy during WinterFest. But Good Gravy is looking sweet though! -

Hard to say but we’ll know for sure if the Snoppy Boutique signs come down. It’s out of the area where they originally announced Camp Snoppy to be going. It might be the ‘food truck’ like @PKIDeliriumsays, but would they really use the word ‘Hall’ for something that can be moved like a food truck? -
Here we are in 2024 already, so I made the thread for the new year. We have a lot to look forward to like Camp Snoopy opening up in late spring. Here is the link to the calendar and hours as of now for the 2024 season. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/calendar-and-hours

Liked the update and Woodstock Gliders will look great with the new look. -
Had a great time, the lights were amazing, wish I bought a hot chocolate, the line was long so I didn’t feel like standing in line, kinda wish I did now. The balloon drop for the kids and families was energetic. The 2023 season was so much fun, and can’t wait for the 2024 season to start!

Anyone going to the park tonight to get some new pictures? -
Looks like Seabreeze Amusement Park is removing their Bisch-Rocco Flying Scooters ride next year, they're adding a WindstarZ. This gives Kings Island a chance to head over to NY and take it off their hands, hopefully bringing back an old classic style scooters ride. It could replace that basketball game in Coney Mall!
-
It would be neat if they could bring back that sign and put Grain & Grill on it, hopefully it is still around so they can find it.
-
Looking at the webcam, are those lights along the KI&MVRR new or have those been there? Hopefully they’re new!
-
Hope we see some of the new 2 million lights used for the train ride! That would make it even better!

Hilarious the park blocks people from their Facebook and Twitter/X social media pages for no real big reason, then asks for these same people to vote for them when it comes to Holiday events and Best Park. They haven't gotten any higher than 4 I believe, and doubt they'll get any higher than that. People have long memories and won't forget.

Here is this also, Universal thinking about buying Warner Bros? I wonder how this will affect the IP’s that SIX/CF can use, and what would happen if they did buy WB. https://insidethemagic.net/2023/10/universal-reportedly-eyes-purchase-of-rival-studio-warner-bros-jnw1mmb/ -
Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge

I am worried about how big the company is and if they can run it like CF has been, this is more than doubling the parks they have, SF comes with a lot of baggage, will the SF parks drag down the whole company? I hope not, but they have bunch of work to do to bring all of those parks up to CF's standards. One good thing is SF has Hanna-Barbara so CF can use them at KI again, and we can see some of the characters we used to see in the park again, I don't want to see any DC stuff! I think the golden opportunity was when SEAS offered to merge, I wish CF and SEAS came to an agreement, both companies are doing good and it would make them stronger, SF is not doing so good, and their brand is not known for good quality. I hope CF knows what they're doing. -
I think the KI Theater is kind of in the way for guests to have an easy time with getting over to the Invertigo and Congo Falls area, if it was in another part of Action Zone, where Timberwolf is, then they'd venture over there more. If they ever wanted to remove Timberwolf and build a new KI Theater in that spot, that would free up a lot of land, and could build a new coaster there when Invertigo is retired and maybe retire Congo Falls to use that area also for the new coaster. I doubt this'll happen but it's an idea how fix guests flowing into Action Zone better.

Looks like the webcam for International Street isn't working, so it must be a sign of the park getting prepared for opening day of Winterfest! Can't wait!
