  1. With the speed and force of the coaster, it makes me wonder how long the windshield will last. Of course the engineers at intamin have designed it such a way that a failure would be unlikely.
  2. The only circumstance I see myself purchasing a six flags pass or admission tickets is if I decide to to to the ACE Spring Conference or if I can swing a trip to CGA. Other than that, I don't plan on darkening a six flags turnstile until 2026 passes go on sale. ( Or on sell as they say sometimes)
  3. ^Universal enters the chat. What does it really matter if they keep CP as the flagship? This is the business model that works for them...they have resorts to fill, which are very lucrative. The entire economy of Sandusky is dependent on CP. What metric are you using in your stance CP will be the "top dog?". Money spent? Roller coasters built? Food service? If you are looking at money spent, let's look at 23/24/25. How much has been invested in the boardwalk, TT2, and siren's curse? 80 million? That is chump change to what they are going to invest at Over Georgia. They are going to expected to pay approximately 332.6 million by the end of 2027 to have 100% ownership. Not knowing the terms of the deal, but assuming this is paid out over three years, had CP ever had $110 million invested in it, three years in a row? I believe they are going to do the same in Texas when that agreement comes up for renewal as well. This does not consider the "normal" cap ex going into the legacy Six Flags parks such as infrastructure, paint, new roller coasters etc. The former CFO executives knew how to extract revenue out of their properties. Legacy Six Flags parks, subjectively and anecdotally, were a farce. When you see Over Georgia, Over Texas, Great Adventure and Magic Mountain get tons of investment, that's exactly what they are attempting to do with those properties. Extract revenue. They have to please the market and they have their bonuses to keep safe. So if that means CP gets three roller coasters in three consecutive years, that's what they will do. If that means Kings Island gets family additions for eternity, but it keeps the passholders renewing, that's what they will do. If that means they love the profit percentage out of Michigan's Adventure, so they retain it and keep investing to a minimum because that works in the market, that's what they will do. Our nostalgia, our emotions, out loyalty will not change any of that. I can guarantee they will not miss my pass revenue, my add on revenue, my per caps revenue and my gate turns. Because there likely more than one pass they sell to replace me. But they do know that I will buy again next year after my protest because, well to quote Barry Williams, "Kings Island is (me). My laughter, my excitement, my sense of adventure." Or, to quote Hilda Bovine, "it isn't over til after I sing!"
  4. Ive assumed you have the all park passport. You have said numerous times that you don't like the combined company. If you have the all park passport, you do have a pass to GA. If not, your pass to Kings Island and the money you will spend investing in Six Flags at Kings Dominion are feeding The Beast you despise.
  5. Sure there is. You can put your money where your mouth/fingers are and revoke your season pass only to never return. Anything else is supporting The Beast you purport that you hate.
  6. Vortex enters the chat.
  7. Looks like there are still tickets available 91 minutes after they went on sale.
  8. You love your saloons, bars and media personalities!
  9. OOOOHHHH, a bar and a toilet combined into one place!
  10. I'mThis will be the first Coasterstock I've missed. I am stepping away from Six Flags for a season to refresh and renew my perspective. There's been so much negativity since 2022's season end. The only caveat is I am trying to decide if I want to go to the ACE Spring Conference. I love Kings Dominion and BGW.
  11. They are wanting to appeal to families. Storm Chaser was an enthusiast coaster. I'd conjecture they are wanting Wind Chaser and Woodland Run to appear less intimidating and more family friendly as they are integrated into the reimagined land. They want to make money off of their investment at Kentucky Kingdom. Families are lucrative. Enthusiasts may be lucrative as individuals, but as a cohort, they are like grains of sand on a beach.
  12. The company doesn't own it. Saleem Bafoon has orchestrated the contract for SFEC to manage/ operate it. My conjecture is that as the park nears completion, the entities that own it realized that they needed help and Bafoon stepped in. Prior to this announcement, the owners had merely licensed the Six Flags name and would use the company as a consultant.
  13. I understand why CP would do that, but KK is 60 acres and CP is 350 acres. It will probably all make sense when they renovate the front if the park, looks like there is going to be lots of space opening up there.
  14. I don't understand why the are adding another one of these. They have a frog hopper in King Louie's Playground. Why didn't they just move it over to the new section?
  15. They still have lights on trees by The Racer, half a tree near Mystic Timbers plaza, and it appears various bushes. The Coney Elf Village LED tree is still it, but that's usually one of the last visible items to go.
  16. Exactly. At that point they would have to make a decision based on rational thought...which seems to be absent in New Six Flags. FoF is an anchor in Area 72, one could argue that it the entire reason is what it is today. My point was that it's alot easier to take out SlingShot than a huge ride like FoF. Unless it has major expensive upgrades to continue to operate, it should have several more years left in it. Kings Dominion's version is apparently being painted ( exterior) so they'd want a few years left on it as well to maximize the benefit. I've been wrong before, though. I would not have expected Kingda Ka to get removed. I would not expected Anaconda or Drop Tower to get removed either. I think it's a travesty that these rides were removed without proper send offs. SlingShot is the only ride that I can think of at Kings Island that was removed silently, if I am remembering correctly.
  17. Huge difference in Slingshot and a rollercoaster, however.
  18. Hawaiian Coasters 325 shoots and scores with the John Mattress reference!!!!
  19. I'm still surprised that shooting rides are designed for children in light of gun violence.
  20. That looks much better than the built version. Lots of overbanking. Do you know why they modified from this design, @gforce1994?
