Vortex lover Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 your daily update... note much completed today because of the rain that's cool how you where able to do that 2
fanofFirehawk Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 A magician never reveals there secrets. 2
TTD-120-420 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Vortex Lover wasn't asking how he did it. Or at least I don't think he/she was. Hard to tell with the lack of grammar. And he said he does the pictures in Photoshop. 2
TheBEASTunchained Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 So, I'm sure I wasn't the only one who has noticed this lately but it seems that the area I have circled below is where they are keeping some of the supports and track until their time of use.... 4

TombRaiderFTW Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 So, I'm sure I wasn't the only one who has noticed this lately but it seems that the area I have circled below is where they are keeping some of the supports and track until their time of use.... That's actually where they stored supports for Diamondback during the 2008 season, too. Must be easy to access. Either that, or it's one of the few places on park property that's relatively flat and isn't within guest reach. Or maybe both? On a similar note, I noticed on Sunday that part of the parking lot to the west of the sign has been blocked off. I wonder if that's a temporary drop-off location for track and supports. 2
Diamondbacker Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 ^ I'd think that they wouldn't need to store shipments in the parking lot because the only time they're working is during the week when construction is going on, and then they could just bring the trucks into the park. Of course, I've never built a roller coaster, and seeing how past roller coasters have been built, you're probably right. 5

King Cobra lived there for a while, as well as Scooby's Ghoster Coaster.

jcgoble3 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Magicians never revile their secrets. Technically speaking, that is indeed correct according to Dictionary.com. It's probably not what you meant to say, but it is correct nonetheless. However, they also never speak of their secrets non-abusively, either. 5
calakapepe Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 ^^ I'm laughing because I assume you're commenting on the typo of the word "revile". An update from yours truly. 4
mikejenkins1 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 So they have just about installed all the visible track on site. Wonder when the next big shippment will arrive? Cant wait to see the first loop around the lift go up. 1

The station on Diamondback in that rendering looks exactly like RCT3 walls... 9

It's Photoshop, nothing special. Just removing the color. I do appreciate the time he takes to do it though. 1
davidw Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I spent a little time last night going back through my webcam captures and created the images since the beginning of vertical construction. Here is the gallery that i'll keep updated when i create new ones too: http://www.davidwaderich.com/hotlink/KI/TrackComplete 7
MDMC01 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I just want to say thank you again for making these awesome pictures; it's been really cool to see Banshee grow both on the rendering (through the addition of color) and in real life! 10

TheBEASTunchained Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I loved when TOPGUN1993 used to post pictures of Son of Beast's demoltion and pictures for the "flashback" thread. I wish he still posted pictures! 5
medford Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I miss standbyme's thread on old pictures overlapped w/ new pictures taken from roughly the same spot and in the same direction. That is the thread that hooked me into this site, I wish he was still around. 12
MatterEaterLad Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I really wish they would've put a tunnel or two on the ride. I could picture one at the bottom of the first drop with fog machines and purple lights shining in it at night. 1
shawnofthedead Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 How do you be one of the first persons to ride Banshee?
CoasterMyths79 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Well, you have to be invited to Banshee Media Day (Not open to public) 3
fryoj Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 I vaguely remember them auctioning the first ride on Diamondback off for charity. I'd assume Banshee will be the same.
CoasterMyths79 Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Don said there will be a Media Day in April and there will be an auctioning for the first night ride. 3
TTD-120-420 Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 How do you be one of the first persons to ride Banshee? Work for the park, B&M, or Adena. 4
The Interpreter Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Or be a dummie. Terp, not always helpful. 13
