HarvestmanMan Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I think this song is pretty creepy. I fully expect it to play throughout the park throughout Halloween Haunt. 3 Quote
Oldiesmann Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 There's been a lot of talk about Celtic music, so why not a Celtic tune called "Song of the Banshee"? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZpCUer5qvI 1 Quote
markr Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I think this song is pretty creepy. I fully expect it to play throughout the park throughout Halloween Haunt. Andrew Gold was the son of Marnie Nixon, who was the ghost singer for many non-singing movie movie stars ( Deborah Kerr in The King and I, Natalie Wood in West Side Story and, most famously, Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady.) She was also Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music-just thought that was an interesting tidbit. 2 Quote
AgentSoB Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I said it in another thread, but I would love the score from The Crypt queue to come over to Banshee! Along with the inception theme of the ride cycle I think that would set the perfect atmosphere. Quote
SupremoSteveo Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 This song is down right chilling. I feel the lyrics match up somewhat to the theme too. 1 Quote
2010shaneallen92 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I think instrumental tracks would be great. Maybe some with some choir voices singing in epic Latin chants. It would be cool if it was original music and not just a selection of pop/rock songs that are already well known. I think originality would add a nice element to Banshee. I agree completely. I'm hoping that once you get in line for Banshee, then mentally you completely leave the park. Sort of like Tomb Raider used to be once you entered the building. I LOVED that music (before going to the Crypt, of course) 1 Quote
shawnofthedead Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 i was at the park sat and when i was coming back from flight deck you could hear the Banshee scream form the construction Quote
Ride On_17 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 ^Probably the most annoyingly overplayed song of the year. Alicia Keys is so talented, but seriously, that song was played wayyyy too much. And I was never a fan of it to begin with. 1 Quote
SonofBaconator Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 They played that the night of the Banshee reveal. I thought it was fitting because Banshee is female inspired 2 Quote
Sonofbeast2.0 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Exorcist - Theme song Contagion - Might be considered the theme song, been while since I seen movie. My favorite personally for Banshee! Ink Spots - I don't Wanna set the World on Fire, Some things could be edited out to make it work better. Resident Evil: Extinction - Main theme Quote
The Interpreter Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Music licensing covers existing versions of songs. Editing out would require various approvals, which may or may not be obtainable, and probable additional compensation, which would require negotiation. I really don't see Cedar Fair doing that... 2 Quote
silver2005 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Well, if we're going with ghost/haunted themed songs, who else would you call? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9J9haehfQeg 7 Quote
thedevariouseffect Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I have about 7Gb of Halloween/Horror music...I have way too many suggestions.. If possible they could just copy my library xD 5 Quote
calakapepe Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 :'( Why? Why would you remind me of phantom theatre?? Quote
The Interpreter Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Phantom Of The Opera had nothing to do with Phantom Theater. Just as Houdini had nothing to do with Houdelini, and Raiders of the Lost Ark had nothing to do with Adventure Express. I know because Carl Lindner told me so. 3 Quote
rcwizard13 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 ^ calakapepe's post says nothing of believing Phantom Of The Opera has anything to do with Phantom Theater. Merely that one reminds him of the other, which is perfectly understandable as both involve a phantom and a theater. 1 Quote
The Interpreter Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 ...and an Opera. I never said I believed Mr. Lindner. Quite the opposite, actually. Phantom of the Opera was hugely popular back then. Raiders of the Lost Ark was hugely popular back then. There was a park to run or sell.... 10 Quote
calakapepe Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Such careful language being used here. 5 Quote
thedevariouseffect Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 If this song isn't somewhere in the park I have to say I'd be a little upset...it fits everything, it works, it's good, just awesome Makes me really miss all of the Lee family though, such a tragedy.. 3 Quote
Coasterama Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Music played during the announcement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnv5F-etIHc&feature=youtube_gdata_player These should be in the queue, really fit the ride. Also included was some pop songs of course, but themed music involved a few other ok orchestrations such as one from the new man of steel, another es posthumous track, and two other tracks I couldn't identify I really like the 2nd track "Unstoppable", and I really like the idea of the teaser music being played, possibly while waiting in the station, sorta like what Millennium Force does, only screemier. 2 Quote
thedevariouseffect Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 First video is gone, link was broken, user terminated Youtube account.. Here's a new one.. 3 Quote
markr Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Here is one of my favs from when I was a child-wonderful music that would complement the Irish theme nicely. 5 Quote
thegajone Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 When I think of "screaming like a Banshee", really 1 name sticks out of above everything else, and that is the great Angela Gossaw of the metal band Arch Enemy: Quote
