King Ding Dong
I really wish we lived in the area when our boys were younger to experience all the cool stuff KI has to offer. Why is Pig Pen limited time only? He is part of the gang.
CoasterOhio
Possibly a marketing to to attract more people to the event. Maybe hes making an appearance next year?
OfficialNast
Really bummed they're not bringing back Banshee Brew. Especially now that there is the new BBQ restaurant in Coney Mall, and seeing all other CF parks with their Brew & BBQ fests last year. I thought a beer and BBQ fest was a no-brainer. KImom
So where is the "Enchanted Theater" and the "Peanuts Playhouse" that are mentioned on the locations in the lineup?
IndyGuy4KI
No Cirque or Jump shows mentioned, which I thought was interesting.
CoastersRZ
Enchanted Theater is in the Boo Blasters building. The entrance is located behind The Great Pumpkin coaster. They used to have live kids shows in there (HB themed shows). Then when they moved Circus of Horrors 3D Haunt maze into that building, they stopped utilizing that area for live kids shows so that they could keep the Haunt set up year round. That begs the question, is the Haunt gone? Or have they decided to dismantle it for this event?

As much as I love that Haunt, I hope that it's gone and that the theater can begin to be used again...especially since it is (or was) air conditioned. I vaguely remember that theater from back in the day. But here's to anything else they can add that is indoors and air conditioned!!!!!

teenageninja
The last time I worked at the park, the backstage area still had all of the Hanna Barbara costumes.

calakapepe
For people confused why a cirque show or any show wasn't mentioned for KI Theater.. I'm surprised you haven't checked the site:https://www.visitkingsisland.com/play/shows within the last week it has been up
Joshua
I would love it if the Schultz retrospective lived past June. In fact, it'd be great if the park created a series of retrospectives discussing the history of Kings Island and its iconic rides. I've seen an older documentary produced during the Paramount years and, uh, let's just say it had some charm to it.
MDMC01
So, that's what that seemingly random pathway (which now leads to a smoking area) is used for... I hope they don't get ride of Carnevil, but if they do, it had a good run. AFAIK, I've never been in the Enchanted Theatre, so I will be checking this out, even though I am a terrible artist EDIT: Good to see they are utilizing this underused space, if only for a limited time.

Creed Bratton
Oh wow....it looks the same (stage wise) but it doesn't at the same time.
CoastersRZ
It would be nice to use an indoor location during the summer months again. Especially for a kids related event.
KImom
They could do something similar to the Hollywood Studios Disney Jr. show at Disney...where there's just carpet on the floor and the kids all gather around. Something like that would be soooooo nice for someone like me with three kiddos that are all pretty young!
King Ding Dong
My kids could never do that sit and gather on the floor thing. They just started rolling around and causing chaos, they needed a chair to provide some cue of personal space. They still kind of have problems with it.

Rivertown Rider
The good part about them using this space is that it will also give them another stage area to use for Winterfest.

I would imagine, that if they tore that Haunt out and are investing money in that theatre, they will likely be using it for Winterfest, maybe a kid's themed show. 2
CoastersRZ
It would be a nice, heated location for a Winterfest show. And would help to spread the crowds a bit. But they will have to find another location for a new Haunt. There would not be much turn around time if they held a Haunt in there between end of Haunt and start of Winterfest.
CedarPointer
The old benches from Peanuts Playhouse have been sitting out by the train platform in the woods on KIMVRR, maybe that's what they're putting in Enchanted Theater?
calakapepe
Where's that photo from? I'm so ecstatic to see that stage being cleared up and probably being used in the future
