I am not sure how big the prestige pass base is at CP, but you could have an outside and a separate inside VIP. That does look much better than the temporary tents from before. disco2000
Yeah and one would think they would give the flagship park the biggest budget? They could have turned Johnny Rockets into the inside VIP instead of yet another arcade.... And the ones they renovated they took away a meal plan option to convert to the higher priced pass. Tells you where their mindset is at... KI has a restaurant that sits vacant most of the year that they could have easily made a VIP Lounge at little costs and used their famous "subject to availability" line for days it is used for something else. And then throw up a tent for the days the International was used as something else. And depending on the extent of the renovation, sometimes it is cheaper to build from scratch. How many restaurants do we see tear down and rebuild on same site or simply move just down the street. Kroger does the same thing.

That’s because the people who make these decisions don’t actually use the lounges themselves. It’s like when they extended FoF’s queue. It can be 100 degrees outside and they rather use the outdoor line and have hardly any of the indoor climate control queue open. Whoever made that decision too doesn’t wait in lines. And as you mentioned that’s already built in infrastructure that can be utilized to enhance guest experience.

Oh they put you out in the outdoor line to make you thirsty for the new drink bars going in - gotta squeeze those extra nickels out of the guests already in the park

I get it, your trust is gone with anything having to do with KI management and communications, but is it emotionally healthy to carry that burden around for almost a year and a half? Why not let it go and realize that you can't control it and just enjoy the things at the park that you can enjoy?

brenthodge
Still dont understand why we have an indoor, Air Conditioned and heated, food and beverage ready location with restrooms sit empty most all year. Why is VIP not in International Restaurant. The capacity could be reduced from time to time on the very limited times the area is used for other things.

I am just guessing, but that is a premium space. It's vastly underutilized. The main seating area would be a terrible place to loose for the plebes, even if it's just a WinterFest buffet. There is a party room on the Swiss Building side, but they may use that for corporate events, internal meetings etc. Just be happy the prestige passholders get tap water and yesterday's leftover food in a big trough. That's an upgrade, last year it was just chili! ( The last paragraph is parody and in now way represents the truth of any food choices in the VIP lounge)
Orion-XL200
Why not put the prestige lounge in the Killmart building? Is Killmart still relevant in "haunts" as far as zombies go? Why not clean it up? Why not move it from next to the dumpster and the bathrooms?

All of the props from what I understand is remain in Killmart all season. The shirts are the same (which one was my old SCLG shirt fun fact) and the props don’t move. Making such a move in a park that has finite space would be a sizeable undertaking that I feel would be more of a hassle than anything else. I would love to see an upgraded experience as I’m actually considering prestige for 2025. If we got a reasonable venue in the Intl Street building or even if we got a new building in a vacant lot a la picnic grove area I’d be more amicable to getting a Prestige Pass. My point is, why not get rid of it completely and redo the space? If KD can take a fairly popular restaurant and re-do it into a lounge, why can't KI do that with an old outdated Haunt maze? The mazes we have today are a far cry to what we had even a decade before. That being in amount of attractions and the intricacies of the attractions. Kill Mart has a lot of the scares most mazes don't as they designed the whole layout pretty well. The maze still has a pretty decently sized line even on slower nights and for a lack of better words still is relevant to the park. I'd much rather see a space like the old time pictures or an arcade be removed before another Haunt maze gets axed. I agree that we need a better venue, but I'd rather get a better venue without losing another great Haunt in the process.
