I don't think anybody is going to argue Millennium Force and Maverick not being in the upper tier coasters of that park. Quote
Losantiville Mining Co. Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I keep thinking that Intamin should have taken over Clermont Steel after B&M pulled out, but they seem very hesitant to open any manufacturing facilities in the US. That could help with all of these parts delays they keep having. I would also like to see some kind of Intamin coaster at KI but only if they can fix their reliability issues. Another result of the merger: more parks are now adopting the Tricks and Treats event name, with only a few retaining the Kid's Boo Fest name. I'd love to see some more variation in event names (please bring back the FearFest name) in an effort to diversify the company's offerings. There are still a ton of people who are blaming any and all issues in the parks on legacy Six Flags either spoiling the proverbial stew or on them cutting corners to save a quick buck. I don't think we would've seen as much of this if the merged company had chosen to retain the Cedar Fair name or even sprung for an entirely new name. The brand management isn't helping either, with legacy SF logos popping up in the legacy CF parks in small but noticeable places. There are also still a vast number of people who are still convinced that Six Flags "bought" Cedar Fair. Quote

I bet we’d be getting a lot of memes with Fred from Scooby Doo pulling the Cedar Fair mask off of Six Flags. 1 Quote
BeeastFarmer Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago TruGreen ChemLawn stopped using "ChemLawn" in all but a couple of locations in 2007. They, from what I'm told, encourage the use of the name incognito. They dropped the name because of the association of ChemLawn with poisoned playgrounds. The trademark is abandoned now, almost 20 years later. The point being, CF saw the value of the name Six Flags, even with all the negative connotations in the investor community, the industry and the enthusiast community. Hopefully, when the ship rights itself, the name will have either redeemed itself, or they retire it. 2 Quote
