Oldiesmann
Could close at the end of this year if a buyer isn't found... https://local12.com/news/local/iconic-cincinnati-family-destination-faces-closure-clsoing-entertrainment-junction-west-chester-train-display
beastfan11
Certainly hope a buyer can be found, but wish the original owners the best in their retirement. That entire operation is phenomenal! One of my favorite places to visit. Especially around the holidays.
Taylor.B03
Ironically, Coney could close a 3rd time 1

I'm hoping word will get around to the model railroad enthusiasts as a whole (not just locally). While there might not be a model railroad enthusiast with the kind of money and experience needed for purchasing and running this place, hopefully there's someone out there who knows someone they could partner with to do it. It's going to take more than a single person buying the place to keep it running since the two people who know most about it are retiring

KIghostguy
Absolutely devastating news. One of my favorite places from my childhood, and still one of my favorite places to go and show friends when I'm visiting home. Countless family memories there, especially with my late grandparents. I wish that I could buy it myself. Sadly, I don't have $6.5 million lying around.

Many of those that have visited have never known a life without the Junction being around and have all the feelings and emotions @KIghostguyhas. Unfortunately it is owned by a private entity and they can do with it as they please (legally)....just like another cherished place... CoastersRZ
Bill Balfour, the general manager at Entertrainment Junction, used to work at Kings Island. As a fellow model railroad enthusiast, I was saddened to hear this news. Hopefully, someone with the money steps up and preserves this institution. It is a wonderful place. Although I wonder how much growth it can have in the future.

Taylor.B03
Can't wait for cso to buy it and turn it into a music center. They tend to do that sometimes.

disco2000
No chance for a last minute buyer... https://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/butler-county/west-chester/hindu-worship-center-to-take-over-entertrainment-junction-space-next-spring
johnjniehaus
It would be nice to see the Coney Island model purchased by Kings Island and displayed inside the festhaus or perhaps the Kings Island theater but I know that'll never happen

jbeast
I visited for the very first time last year and was blown away by the detail of the scenery and trains. I sat by the Coney Island scene for awhile just taking it in. It is a shame that it is closing, But it is what it is. I will make sure and get out there again before it closes.
Oldiesmann
I don't blame the owner for wanting to retire at all. I'm just disappointed in the outcome. I thought surely someone else would step up to take over at some point. It's going to be sorely missed.
