I noticed that the right side bar is also extremely long....if you scroll down all the way, the space where the different threads/topics are becomes empty and there are a few ads on the side bar and then recent posts below as well. Occasionally an ad will pop up and will be the entire screen with the ad taking approximately 2x5 in the center. Quote

Google keeps enabling new "Ad Experiments" and makes it difficult to disable them. I've gone through and turned them off wherever I could find them. I'm not sure if it happens instantly or if it takes a few hours for the changes to take effect. 5 Quote
